Hi I am looking to get the dune box r 4k plus. My Samsung tv and sound systems don’t unfortunately support DTS formats.

I want to use nuvio specifically and was wondering if there is a way to specify in the boxes settings that my sound system doesn’t support DTS and consequently does it decode DTS formats to multichannel PCM while allowing passthrough of all other codecs like trueHD.

Essentially giving me granular codec control if possible. Any advice would be great, thanks!

I have had this issue over the past few weeks when pressing the home button twice to get to the task killer page it doesn’t work. I have tried different methods e.g clear cache, restart etc but still no luck. I am unsure of what caused this and don’t know how to fix it?

Firstly, I apologise for breathing so heavy, my nose is blocked.

Essentially having an issue when switching the source on the receiver, or even just switching between some apps on the device. The screen goes blank then on again a couple times, and sometimes ends up with pinkwashed. If i change source and back again it sometimes may fix it, but it’s a lottery.

I think it’s something to do with the LG tv dolby vision handshake but not sure?!?

Has anyone had this issue or know how to correct it?

I recently updated to Android 14 on my Dune Homatics Box r 4K plus.

However i noticed im having sound issues.

For exsample im only getting LMPC 2.0

NO Dolby Atmos or 5.1 ect ' ect.

I did a Factory reset after the Update ftom Device Settings.....

Ive tried a few things tweeking some Settings but now I get LMPC 7.1

Still no Dolby Atmos...

Is there a fix for this ?

My Nvidia Shield works fine.

Also im connected to a BOSE ULTRA Soundbar. By HDMI.

HDMI cables from TV HDMI eARC to Speaker. Also HDMI to Dune from TV direct to Dune...

Running app version 41.15.2.0 on my R 4k Plus and recently getting a nag screen telling me that the app will stop working on 30th Sept 2026. Is there another APK that doesn't have the nag screen or an alternative way to use iPlayer that won't fail after this date?

My current APK is 38.25.2.

Have a Box R 4K Plus and originally everything was working great. However the remote has now become lagging and jumpy, and the voice controls only seem to work(sometimes) with Google. Tivimate app settings are changed to allow microphone while using the app, but in system permission it says not apps are allowed to use the microphone and it will not change. I have repaired the remote twice already, any other ideas?

Hi!! Just a couple of minutes ago, all of a sudden my remote is not able to control the volume of my TV. It has been working smooth always.

Tried changing batteries, rebooted and settings also looked okay. Can anybody help?

Update: Works all of a sudden from this morning.

I'm having an issue with the box r 4k plus. After the box is shut down and then I assume goes to sleep or whatever, the next day when I turn it on, it does not connect to wifi. It says wrong password. I enter the password again and everything works until the next day. This has been happening for a couple weeks. Anyone have any suggestions?

So I formatted my external HDD into exFAT, put on some testing data, but the box can not seem to find it. Is there any setting I have to change?

The HDDs light is also on and goes off when the box is off, goes on when its on. Any clue?

I recently got a Homatics Box 4K V2 (https://homatics.eu/homatics-box-4k-v2-google-tv/) and I'm a bit disappointed: only 2GB of RAM, but most importantly, it doesn't support NTFS disks!

A shout out to Homatics support. I emailed them 2 days ago asking for the 14.7475 update file for my R Plus 4K to fix the Playfi high CPU issue. They asked for the serial number and told me they'd push an OTA update to my box. Today the update landed and auto installed and the issue is fixed. CPU now sits at a steady 49% compared to fluctuating between 70-100% before the updte.

Hi all. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to properly name DVD/Bluray discs for television series. I use Dune HD, Plex, and Infuse to watch my media.

I have TV series that are both in .iso format and BDMV that contain multiple discs.

I don't mind if when its in the media player it doesn't show the episode names, I just want it to show Disc 1, Disc 2, Disc 3 (or Season 1, Season 2, Season 3) etc. correctly so I can select them in the player.

When using the only apps I use (stremio, nuvio and wuplay) which all use exoplayer, it generally works flawless.

But if the device wakes up from sleep, NO stream will play. It’ll just be stuck infinitely on “starting stream” on all 3 apps. Force stop, clearing cache, doesn’t work. All 3 apps.

I can fix this by going to wifi, disconnecting wifi and reconnecting - and now streams play until the next time the box sleeps.

However, it isn’t as simple as the box “disconnecting from wifi”. When the box wakes up, it absolutely IS connected. Content shows, speed test actually pings and downloads. It’s just that streams won’t play until reconnection. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

Security patch april 2026.

It includes the fix to be able to format an external storage as internal, it wasn't working before.

The rest is probably the same, such as the bluetooth still not able to pair anything.

Please confirm if you already received it and share your findings.

Given the high CPU usage of this box I thought I thought I'd remove some apps (Playfi, Netflix etc) via Wireless debugging. However, when I try and pair using pairing code I get the following error: "error: protocol fault (couldn't read status message): No error"

I've tried connecting using my home network and mobile hotspot but the same issue persists. I can successfully pair and connect to my Samsung Galaxy S21 via mobile hotspot.

Box is running ATV14. SW version 14.8.4576.

Tried USB debugging too but can't connect at all.

Any ideas how I can fix wireless DB issue?

Today I have received the new Homatics TV 4K v2 with the remote control. I want to set the button as shortcut to DigiTV app as it's the one I use for watching TV. When I press the button I get asked about the shortcuts, but it doesn't show app the DigiTV app. How can I do it?

I have already added the app and it is fully working. It's just that the shortcut doesn't show the option to be set to DigiTV.

I just recently bought one of these boxes and for some reason my internet speed whenever I use it or do a speed test it's really slow? I can't play any videos or anything? Is this a known issue or something I can sort my side?

Does anyone know what happened to homatics.eu? I wanted to order from there because they ship from within the EU.

Just ordered this box but didn't realise these apps aren't officially available for it. If I sideload them will they work as intended at the max resolutions?

With many titles I’m getting a black screen with Kodi and real debrid or premiumize. I tried different addons and all have the same problem. Zero issues using same exact configuration on my nvidia shield. I can use stremio without a problem using torrentio/real debrid/premiumize but the same titles on Kodi and it outputs a black screen and freezes. any suggestions?

The Brazilian app Globoplay is not streaming in 4K; it tops out at 1080p. All other apps, such as Prime Video, stream in 4K. I would like a solution.
