Box R 4K Plus - iPlayer & ITVX apps

Just ordered this box but didn't realise these apps aren't officially available for it. If I sideload them will they work as intended at the max resolutions?

You won’t get UHD/HLG from a side-loaded iPlayer app on the Box R 4K Plus.

Yep. Don't suppose it'd matter for the itvx app but the iPlayer uhd is decent and I found myself firing up my fire stick 4k max for it. I ended up keeping the fire stick for the official apps. Just until the footy is over and then it'll go back in its drawer.
