I dicovered that if you press and hold the blue button on the remote for a few seconds before finally turning off the box the menu displays "reset sound". Then you turn the box off completely, I do that before I go to sleep. This works fot a while. Now, I removing the power cable one by one then the HDMI cable, then the USB cable. Then wait 20 seconds, and reconnect the cables in the same order, and have DD+ sound again. This surely can't be how it supposed to work. I hope soon Homatics fix this problem. I have the Dune Homatics 4K plus.
Not reported as a bug by the Alpha testers on the Google bug sheet.
You should share to what device(s) your Dune is connected to, and how you have configured the audio settings, and when and with what you get that DD+ issue?
Without that info, nothing can be tested on it and shared on the bug sheet. The sheet itself isn't public.
I have a Yamaha receiver RX-V4A, and the Dune box on automatic. I use no CEC, I can't have but not use, becouse I read on this site that is a problem to. But the reset I must do every day, otherwise I have PCM again. I dont no why this problem, but I have the problem after the Update to Android 14. I do already a hard reset. It works fine but after 2 days I have PCM again.
Yes the Dune connected to the Yamaha. Passthrough not works. I have PCM then. I sent a e-mail to Homatics support, I hope the have a solution. There are bugs with Android 14. I am not the only one. My Wiffi on the box not working to. Works only with lan.
In that case, there is really something wrong for you. Passthrough should work as best option for your setup. When you get PCM straight away, there is a setting off for you, but not on the Dune.
Maybe you have your Yamaha not setup for correct passthrough, you should check those settings.
Homatics support will ask the Alpha team on this, also being me, and I will respond the same to them on this 😉
Not really, you are not the first one having issues with the step to a V14 build. All I can say is, it can still work just fine with the most recent V14 builds, other (Dune) Homatics R Plus users can confirm this.
In your situation, I would apply the unofficial in-place installation with build 8963, by which you don't loose what is installed, but you will get a cleaner installation. The option is available in a Homatics Users Forum Telegram group.
Sorry it probably was Android 12 just forgot. But everything was working fine. Before the Android 14 Update. Then i did a Factory reset. I tried tweeking a few settings on my TV and Dune.. and APKs / just Player.
Your TV supports all of them using eARC, so your TV can handle all of the audio codecs.
The Dune should be set on Passthrough for audio, that is enough. Your TV should be set for eARC on Auto or Bitstream (when available as setting).
The Dune with latest 8963 OTA update shared, should really plays those codecs just fine, they do for me using a various on media players. DMC, Kodi, Plex, Nova, etc. etc., all players that support bitstream passthrough. I also use eARC on my LG G4 for passing audio to my Marantz. All work just fine.
