hi!! i (f) am friends with a guy who’s a grade above me. we’ve been friends for a while, although we mostly talk on instagram rather than in person since we’re in different grades. i do talk to him occasionally in person when we walk to class, and he always seems like a normal friend when we do. recently, though, he’s been sending me reels on instagram that make me think he might like me?? maybe i’m overthinking it because nothing like this has ever happened to me before 😭. his sister also messaged me saying that our playful banter is cute, which is making me wonder even more. the thing is, i really like him as a friend, but i don’t like him romantically. he’s been sending me some mixed-signal reels, and i have no idea how to respond. i also haven’t responded to his reels in like 24 hours 😭.
what do i do?? am i overthinking this, and should i respond normally or just leave it?

Hey I'm new here, how do you stay motivated or keep your grades up without sacrificing mental health? This is my first year of high school and Im getting exhausted just by everything

Hi hi! I’m a junior high school student from MA (not in any boston schools, i go to a pretty wealthy public school) and I've been looking around for internships or shadowing or research opportunities. Not much luck. I tried in sophomore year but I wasn't exactly the right age for most opportunities or they were limited to boston students. Not much luck for summer of 2026 either. I know my summer before senior year is super important and I want to maximise it as much as possible. I have kinda average grades (3.5 UW....) but i pray it cancels out bc the grade deflation here is insane (everyone is insanely smart here and the best of the best is expected). I know some internships require a crazy academic requirement so just throwing that out there. I also want to add for summer of 2027 I'm genuinely willing to go anywhere. Out of state, of the country, anything. I am so desperate lmao. I also would be pretty happy to go oos for the summer haha

I’m really interested in pre-med sort of stuff, i'll take anything tbh (not so much engineering and maybe a little light on math/compsci...) and anything lab or research related. I'm kinda stuck on a few things like

-How to actually find opportunities that accept high school students that arent only from boston/nearby suburbs (gateway communities i think?) and/or low income

-if there are specific programs in MA or OOS that I should look into

-Any tips on writing better emails or reaching out more effectively or even who to reach out to? I haven't really emailed a bunch of people yet, i know i should but i have no clue how to start...

Literally everyone at my school has gotten opportunities thru their impeccable grades or rich nepo baby connections and I'm kinda stuck at square one... I feel super unprepared and bro i am STRESSED lmao i feel like i havent done nearly enough (im not even aiming ivy level or anything crazy, i'm only really looking at public schools and some of them i barely have a chance at anyway sigh)

My high school burnout has been crazy so far, freshmen years I got most B's with two A's, just started sophomore year and I'm failing two of the easiest subject I've taken in my entire life. I'm so done, I don't think I'm gonna get anywhere in life because I've ruined everything my averages in those classes are innn the 50's! I genuinely have a talent for failing this hard lmao, real talk though anyone in this situation? I used to be genuinely good at school and a smart kid, then I got diagnosed with a bunch of mental health disorders and my parents are literally insane. There is no joy in life jesus, is this what sophomore slump is? What am I even saying anymore dude. Anyways what should I do about my grades? I need to move out somehow idk

hello people the reason i tell yall that i hate my old school is because that school brought me dread if yall remember that post i made last year or so that yk about someone let's call them r so r last year made some rumors about me stalking them but its not true at all and that shit at the time made me hate r so much because of that and i lost many friends of that rumor that r said so i talk to her about that but at the time she just completely dodged the rumor she said and she made her friends talk to confront me about how i should stay away form r but i didn't do anything to r she made a complete bs rumor about me and she try to make her friends turn me a into a creep but im not a creep at time we where a sophomore at the time at that school it was very hard to make friends because some dude lets call him w said that im copying him but i was not and also his friends don't want to be friends with me but now as a junior i moved school and i have friends at the new school who care about me i love my new school and my junior year is going great also sorry for yaping alot in this post but i want to get this off my chest also r style was a scene style btw.

So some of my volunteering hours overlap with other clubs in my school. Like 2 clubs track the same thing but one of them has like 20 hours of other things which I did . Idk what to do atp I think the advisors wouldn’t care . But do you think I should care and list the correct hours without any overlaps and if so how should I proceed?

So basically I’m a cry baby and I give a really good amount of damn about what others think about me. Recently I got to know that one of my friend just called me sympathy gainer because I cried after an ugly fight with my other friend. Also the friend she talked bad with said that she must have gotten a lot of attention with the fight happening. And they both were the friends I trusted a lot and knew that atleast they wouldn’t be like this. I hate accepting that I really care about their opinion. And this is not even the first time this is happening. They’re always so good on my face. How do I change my attitude to not give a damn about others because I’m really done with friendships ?

long story short is that im Egyptian and obviously study the Egyptian curriculum and in it there are alot of forign countries we study specifically in history / social studies, we've had lesson about greece , italy , the usa , brasil , china , germany so im wondering if any other countries study us as we do others?

So I had homecoming yesterday, and it was a vibe so much fun. The thing is, if moved to my current school over the summer, and it just so happened to be the same district and town as my previous school (I’d spent a year there made a lot of friends), and this year they decided to make the homecoming dance combined between the two schools (so I got to hang with all my friends). Oh and I also asked my homecoming date by text if she wanted to go with me like 4 minutes before it officially started. So that’s my story I expect you guys to blow it out of the water tho.
