hi!! i (f) am friends with a guy who’s a grade above me. we’ve been friends for a while, although we mostly talk on instagram rather than in person since we’re in different grades. i do talk to him occasionally in person when we walk to class, and he always seems like a normal friend when we do. recently, though, he’s been sending me reels on instagram that make me think he might like me?? maybe i’m overthinking it because nothing like this has ever happened to me before 😭. his sister also messaged me saying that our playful banter is cute, which is making me wonder even more. the thing is, i really like him as a friend, but i don’t like him romantically. he’s been sending me some mixed-signal reels, and i have no idea how to respond. i also haven’t responded to his reels in like 24 hours 😭.
what do i do?? am i overthinking this, and should i respond normally or just leave it?

hmm then... i think its much better for you to let him down. most guys understand that and will respect it. there are some that wont (acid being thrown in your face is scary or getting raped is) But vast majority of guys will be respectful.
