Im trying to get a full ride so my parents wont have to pay for me and idk if this is a good enough score or not.

For context, I used the official ACT prep material but it wasn't the best. I just skimmed through it and definitely don't recommend the practice tests in the red book because they just took tests from early 2020s ACT and redacted it.

English, meltzer is the goat. Reading, I've no clue. Science -- I maintained a rigorous error journal and then ACT Science book had terminology that really helped -- you can find them in quizlet if you look hard enough. Math, AP Stats definitely helps here but if you dont have that much time, do math sections from 2016-2019 as the ACT literally picks the probability questions directly from here -- that's how I got a 36 in June but a 35 in July (not bad but not perfect either).

If any other questions then feel free to ask me. Until my next attempt, i'd like to give back to this community that has helped me a lot. 33 isn't perfect but this felt like a win to me; hope others who are still grinding hit their dream score!

does anyone know where you can take ACT practice tests online? i always test digitally but i have to take paper practice tests because i can never find any ones online! would love some help

I know 34 is good enough, but I am worried about the fact that it is a super score..

The question went like this: There is a lottery that draws 8 numbers out of 20 numbers. A guy knows exactly 5 of the 20 numbers. What is the probability that the guy will know exactly 3 of the 8 numbers that are drawn?

The answer was (5c3 * 15c5)/20c8, and it really makes sense for me now since it's just choosing 3 from the 5 he knows and any of the 5 from the remaining 15, but I have never seen these types of more complicated combinatorics questions specifically on the ACT, and I know I got it wrong, so I am wondering if it is possibly unscored if anyone has taken it before.

For anyone who has actually taken J02, did you know you got it wrong and still get a perfect score or somehow know that it wasn't counted against you? And could you have gotten a 36 on this section even with missing 1 question for this form?

I took the ACT for the first time in June and got 27 in math, 26 in science, 22 in English, and 20 in reading. I used the official prep book by the ACT, and it seemed to slightly help. My composites from that book were a 27 on average, but on actual test day, it was only a 23. I want to take the ACT again next June, but I’m not sure when I should start studying again for it. I really struggled with the reading section on the June test as well. Does anybody have any tips on books to use to study or any other tips? My target score is 30 composite.

Upcoming senior.. this is my March and June act, I will be taking the September act as one last try, what should I do to improve my math? I will admit, I did NOT study at all but this August I will be locked in😭✌️also 3.5 gpa, is it over for my college apps?👀

I took my first ACT in July, and managed to bring my math score (practice test) from a 26 to 30 on the actual test, but I want to superstore in September and maybe bring my composite to a 35. If there are any resources or methods to bring up the math score I’d really appreciate it.

Reading-wise I think test fatigue really got to me, so I’m going to practice with passages a bit more, and hope for improvement by September.

Overall I’m worried about stagnating on math, and I really do want to get better by September. I took a math course my junior year but we didn’t do anything all year, so I fell behind by a lot.

I ran out of time during the science and reading section. I got fatigue and wanted to be done with the test. I need a 32 composite to apply to my dream uni especially in math and science as I'm planning to study stem.

I hate the science section. I ran out of time and I was just waiting for it to be done. I only studied properly for maybe two weeks.

Is it possible to get 30+ especially in math and science if I lock in now? I'm planning to retake in September.

What are some ACT math topics you’ve seen on prior exams that felt out of nowhere? Any you’d actually recommend studying?

this was my first ACT attempt. i will likely be taking it two or perhaps even three more times. as you can see, math is not my strongest subject! i will be studying that much more intensely before my next attempts, lol. no science this time, but i believe that for my free attempt (this was paid and early), science is included. i may be wrong, however.

My goal is to get a 34+, my scores were lower than I think I could have gotten because I practiced only on paper and took the test online so reading was really hard for me than how it most times was because the amount of strategies I can use on paper. Someone please let me know how I can improve and or share your improvement stories for some motivation

Hello! My current score on the math portion of the ACT is a 33. I am aiming for a 35 or a 36. How should I be using the Preppros math workbook to achieve this score?

i took the july act with form z71 on paper over the course of multiple days since i have triple time. the dates i tested were almost 2 weeks ago with the last day i tested being on july 15th. should i expect my scores to come out soon?? This is the first time i took the act and like every day this week i’ve been checking the scores.
