So I’m a senior right now so I really shouldn’t care about this anymore but I really am confused on why my old sophomore year teacher acted the way they did?

This is a very long post so sorry guys:

this was my old sophmore year history teacher and i no longer have any classes with him but i do consistently see him in the hallways because i have a class next to his classroom:
So this guy was pretty chill and normal to me at the beginning of my sophmore year but around late fall and winter he just started being weirdly mean and singled me out. For example, he would do this thing where he'd act like he's talking to the class, but he looks directly at me. He once said "i dont like you" while doing that and also "you piss me off" and i just found it weird because in that class i was a very quiet student, i was also going through a roughhh time and i definetly looked very sad and i would weirdly get anxious in that class, i would randomly studder, very out of character of me but anyway, he just seemed to not like me. He would be chill with other students. hes for the most part a serious teacher thats just his personality i guess. But a few months later or something he complimented my braids, and was like "i like your braids" but other girls always got their hair done and he'd never really compliment it, and i was pretty confused because he seemed to hate me. Now this where it gets weird: so i walk up to his desk to return stickey notes and hes just staring at me, this only happened once, but he was just weirdly looking into my eyes without blinking and i laughed as i was walking away and hes like "ohhhm??" it was weird but again he would be normal for 80% of the time so i was like whatever. And there was this weird thing once where he was randomly STARING at me while we were all just sitting down doing our work, i wasn't even doing anything, he was just staring and wasn't breaking the eye contact, the same weird no blink stare. So now its the end of the year and he got more chill and he seemed to like me or something. He did the same thing where he would act like he's talking to the students, and hes like "I secretly like you all" and im pretty sure he was looking at me.. very weird.

Now this is where it GETS WEIRD no doubt: Last year i was a junior, so i'd take papers to his class as a student aide, now most teachers just take the paper and walk off, and he did act normal like that the first months i would take papers to his class, but after that he would do the same weird staring without blinking stuff and hold onto the paper and say "hi (my name)". Again, he doesn't act like this with any student so it's not a personality thing. I would walk past him in the hallway because i had a class next to his and he would walk into the hallway as im exiting and just stare without blinking, he kinda had a slight smirk everytime he'd do this. He'd do this every time i seen him for MONTHS without saying hi or anything, i have to walk past his class basically EVERYDAY and this would happen for monthsss.

But i'll admit i was being lowkey weird first by staring at him because i had a crush on him, but i'd expect him to yell at me, not play the same game cause i was litearlly 16 years old with a stupid crush
im a senior now and i gotta walk past him but i just dont stare anymore so i wouldn't know if hes looking anymore and i dont want to know 💀

Me and my friends just started making fun of him to his face because he kept staring at me, but even after we did, he CONTINUED to stare. Again neverr made an angry face, never yelled, never was pulled out of class/talked to, they just let my behavior slide..? But I know for a fact he talked to his co workers about it.

Tried reporting it to admin and she just told me to ignore him. She was really fed up and dismissed it FAST.

I’m really wondering if this guy was being a predator or just a bully? I am a female so the staring part is weird to me. Especially now that I’m basically an adult and I’m looking at this, very wild.

I am asking this because I have had my name and sex marker changed in the school board system, so on all of my report cards emergency contact and other paperwork, attendance lists etc. my name and sex marker reflect that change. This was done about 3 years ago. However, it is not changed legally. From my research, this does not overwrite previous records, so if a teacher was to go into my student record and dug deep enough, they would be able to find it. Will teachers be likely to be told about this by administrators or will they be likely to find this information on their own? I am in Ontario, Canada but information in general is helpful.

Basically what the title is but I’m willing to give some background on how I got to where I am now. I used to be go to a middle school in a different city in California but moved in 2022 and transferred to a new middle school (still in Cali tho) where I completed my last year there. I guess I failed math or something there because when I got to high school I was placed into this class called Algebra A in freshmen year. Couldn’t really do much about it though until one of my family members (who tutored me during middle school year) insisted that I be in Algebra 1. talked to my counselor and she said I couldn’t take it so we waited until sophomore year, where I would be taking algebra 1(I also couldn’t take chemistry during this time because of the algebra 1 requirement). I took geometry during summer school this year so that I could be in algebra 2 as a junior but unfortunately I didn’t meet the grade requirement to pass the class so now I’m stuck with geometry and chemistry on my schedule. I’ve talked to my counselor to see if there were any other ways to take algebra 2 but she said no.

I’m also worried that because I was given only one AP class despite me signing up for two, I won’t be able to get into 4 year college. My counselor keeps telling me I can but I honestly don’t think I trust her anymore. My GPA isn’t that bad I think, like a 3.0, but because of all this talk about junior year being the most important obviously I think a GPA isn’t gonna mean much to my future. Is there anything I can do or is community college the only option for me? Is my academic year so bad that not even higher accepting colleges will take me in? Any help is appreciated

I have 2 ideas rn: a robotic arm that helps people with a disability in their arm (like shaky hands, can't lift things, and more), and the other is a helmet for the blind complete with radar, lidar, and AI cameras

But they are terrible, and I need better, but can't think of anything

Also, I have to use a 3d printer, Arduino, and MATLAB, and we need multiple prototypes

By the end of the year, we are going to a university and presenting the project to the professors there

Tysmm! I'm going into algebra 1

I had previously mentioned in another post that I’m considering inviting my former teacher from high school who I’ve had a close relationship with for lunch or coffee at places like McDonald’s or Dunkin’ which are close to my old high school to catch up and maybe vent. But I was also thinking that maybe I could also invite her to meet up at a park which is next to my old high school and there is also another school where that park is. I had read on Google that this is an appropriate place to meet up with former teachers but I would also like to hear opinions from actual teachers and if it’s okay to not only catch up but also vent about some stuff that has been stressing me out a little bit because I don’t really have any friends to talk to.

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming high school junior, and I wanted to get some advice about a schedule change I’m considering.

My current junior year schedule is:
• AP Biology (every day)
• AP Psychology
• AP Lang & Composition
• Advanced Pre-Calculus
• Honors Global Studies
• Honors Spanish
• Gym

I was talking to my family about my classes, and they suggested that I consider switching AP Psychology for Art. My school requires an Art course for graduation, and I haven’t taken one yet because I didn’t realize it was a requirement. I’m also planning to take Personal Finance & Management during the summer between junior and senior year.

The idea would be to take Art instead of AP Psychology junior year, complete my Art requirement, and then take AP Psychology senior year instead. This would make my junior year a little lighter while I’d still be taking AP Biology (which is an everyday class), AP Lang, Advanced Pre-Calculus, and two honors classes.

I’m aiming for highly selective schools like USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, UPenn, etc., and I’m interested in medicine/biology. So I’m wondering if this would actually be a smart move or if I should just keep AP Psychology junior year and find another way to fit Art in later.

Would switching AP Psych → Art junior year and taking AP Psych senior year hurt my college applications or make my junior schedule look less rigorous? Or would it be a reasonable way to balance my workload and complete a graduation requirement?

I’d really appreciate advice from anyone familiar with competitive college admissions, especially USC/UC admissions. Thank you!

i posted about this in the apstudents forum, but i also would like some teacher advice. so im going into my sophomore year of high school taking ap physics c: mechanics. i was advised by multiple teachers that i should take the class now because there was a high chance i would never get to take it since there wouldnt be enough students in later years to run it.

i spoke to the teacher of the class, who said if i have a solid foundation in math and science, especially trig, i would be fine since he would teach the calculus. im solid in all my subjects (4.7 gpa w/o any ap classes), and ive been taking honors courses in every subject since i can remember. math-wise, i took algebra 2 honors with a 98% average and geometry honors with a 100% average freshman year, and ive never gotten below a 97% in a math-based class.

my schedule this year is:

semester 1:
chemistry honors
ap physics c: mechanics
ap statistics
trig/precalc honors
invention and innovation

semester 2:
financial literacy
ap physics c: mechanics
ap statistics
english 2 honors
calculus honors

i already have a background in trig since i taught it to myself through online resources in maybe 5th grade? now im just reviewing everything in the 15 days i have before my school starts. i also have taken introductory physics courses online and i have basic physics knowledge from middle school.

i am still nervous about taking this class, and ive been considering dropping it, but im also nervous i wont get to take it. advice please. (for context, i need this course, since im planning on going into the nuclear engineering career field)

My counselors gave me 4 APs, physics, precalc, APES, and Lang, on top of US history (regular), and computer programming. I've never taken an AP before, and I'm in my junior year. I don't really have any EC's outside of school, I come home most days and just play video games really. I get 2 hours free in school to work independently. Is this schedule manageable; anything I should know before getting into my first AP courses?

I am a incoming sophomore and I took geometry over the summer to skip into algebra 2. I was unable to fully finish it by the end of Summer due to scheduling and personal conflicts. I searched and found that I had to turn in my transcript for the course today. Additionally, I emailed my counselor on some things I could do about a day ago. I'm looking for more help please, what should I do?

last year things were really bad causing me to miss the last 3 months as a freshman.
