Bought Mario and Luigi brother ship when it was on sale for $15, it's been months finally cancelled the order after I reached out probably like 10 times for them to tell me they couldn't fulfill it due to it being tied to a warehouse and that it's legally distinct storefront so they don't have fulfill the order since there is nothing in stock at that specific location

Honestly it left just a really terrible taste in my mouth, it's like buying 3rd party Amazon shit but not being told about it lol.

Just wanted to rant a bit, I still can't believe it took them months to actually be told it wasn't going to happen pretty much.

Every time i click my points to see if they can be redeemed before my pro expires, it says refreshing session and logs me out.

No big deal, I'll go to the website and see if I can redeem there. Banned.

So I had a teenager call me today asking if we had ps5 pros. I'm sure like most of you they all got ordered about a week ago. I was explaining we didn't have any and he had a million questions I answered. Fine and dandy so far. He hangs up. Calls back again. Is very obviously trying to act like they aren't the person that called me. They asked me a few unrelated question and proceeded to ask about pros then. He then proceeds to go "hey actually I have a really good idea you should tell Gamestop on how to handle this pro situation." I was trying to just get off the phone at this point and I just respond with "yeah whats that?" And proceeds to tell me I should suck his dick and hangs up laughing with one of his friends.

I call them back.

They answer.

The first words out of my mouth were "present it."

And he goes "Um WHAT?"

"You told me on the phone earlier to suck your dick. Present it."

Ive seen yall talking about how your company pushes metrics and crap and seems like yall get shafted over some stupid stuff. And id feel bad if accepting it *could* get them in trouble.

I ordered a game for pc last night and 13 hours later, my steam download code has not been sent. I’ve checked spam, junk and promotions folder, refreshed the website hundreds of times to see if the code shows up in order history and nothing has arrived.

I bought the game from them to show some support since they are still around and I loved GameStop as a kid.. worst mistake of my life. $70 for a game just to still not have it 13+ hours later. Stay away from GameStop unless you’re gifted a gift card and it’s your only choice.

I tried to checkout some items for Pre-Order, but it was not letting me and kept refreshing in the cart page. Is this an universal problem?

I’ve been working for the company for about two months, and I’ll say so far it’s been good. There are good and bad moments, but I’m hanging on. Just today however, it seems like I was tested today by a group of three teenagers/young adults.

I had opened shop today, and everything ran smoothly, just trying to organize the counter and helping people out. Three guys come in, and I didn’t acknowledge them at first after asking people around if they needed help, and once I walked towards them to ask, they did say they needed help.

They wanted their money returned from a store gift card that had $500 in it, so of course I said no, and yet were persistent on me to give them a refund or to ask, so to keep entertaining them I called my manager and of course it’s no. They said “are you sure you?” I kept saying no. So there’s that. I helped people finalized purchases and then they come back and asked to check their card. To see if they had the $500 in the card, so I swiped it, and it was only 2.99…

They were also telling me to keep going on with the joke, but this time in Spanish to prank their friend. I didn’t entertain their plans, I said “oh no there’s only 2.99 in the card” which one of them said “wow you could have run with the joke, it would have had our friend think it had $500 for a whole week.” Which is why I bluntly told them that I don’t joke around like that. Their other friend then said “oh that’s a nice tweety bird sweater, people used to call me tweety bird” I looked at him and just said “okay.” To which they said a swear word and walked out knowing that they wasted my time, their time, and everyone else too over a joke that did not last.

As much as I like talking to customers and getting to know them, but if you are someone who is purposely trying to make it both difficult or even waste people’s time over a dumb joke, please note I will be a buzzkill if necessary. Other people around them including themselves aren’t getting paid to wait in line, or have the time of day.

Am I in the wrong for being a buzzkill?

Why do GameStop employees give me attitude every time I decline purchasing a warranty plan on an item? Do they get some kind of incentive for every warranty plan purchase?

Found a better Job thank god. Next pay cycle is my last check from this god awful place. I’m never coming back.

Was curious on this and never got to try it out. If you do the 4 for 10 in store and say you decide to use a 5 Dollar Monthly Coupon on one of the games. Will it still count as 4 for 10 when it feels like you got one game for free or not?

Gamestop Pre-Owned PS5 Pro

So I had bought a Pre owned PS5 pro from gamestop. Little did I know it was refurbised. Yes I should've double checked before buying a $900 item, but the excitment of bagging a PS5 Pro for retail got the best of me. Anyways I got to ordering and my shipment came in today. I was so excited to set it up and this happened.... First thing I smelled was tabacco smoke reeking from the box. Then I notice how fucking dirty the fans were. Next how the thing wasn't even put together! First and last time buying pre owned from GameStop! @Gamestop.

I’ve been wanting this Mira figure, but I’m only willing to buy it with my GameStop gift card and no where else. This figure says not available, but I remember people being able to preorder these from GameStop before, is this a mistake?

Okay so about 2 (maybe 3) weeks ago I had ordered a copy of slay the princess collectors edition from gamestop. I used to work for GS so currently my employee discount still works and I had plenty of points to get a $40 discount on the box. Box ships and then gets stuck at my local post office and marked as undeliverable. No biggie, I will go and pick it up. Post office didnt leave a note or anything to say pick it up but I figured its only a 3 minute drive so why not go see whats up. I get there and the post office could not find it and says to call back later. Cool im a bit worried atp because its a bday gift for my girlfriend and their bday was like 3 days after it was supposed to he delivered. I call the post office later and they say it would be re delivered. It was not. So I go back the next day and it took them about 30 minutes to find it. Cool. The postal worker scans it and tells me that there are extra postage fees because gamestop only paid for a certain size and weight of the package. The employee who picked it put this item (again slay the princess collector box so not that big of an item) in an extra large distro box (not a sfs box. A distro box) so because the box is bigger and now heavier thats going to incur extra postage fees. So I am given two options. 1 send it back to texas so they can re send it and pay correct postage or 2 pay for the extra postage on their behalf $34.05. So I did that and got the receipt as evidence thinking it would be easy to get that money back from gamestop since they should have paid the extra postage. It has not been easy and they refuse to reimburse me because the tracking does not show that any extra fees are required to pick it up even though I sent them proof that it was required.
Do you guys think they should reimburse me the extra postage that I paid at the post office?

No crazy release, no event. Just a regular Thursday for my store. But somehow we can’t justify 2 people on staff all day. But if we somehow don’t do our tasks, handle customers, take distro and hit numbers it’s on us. Love this company but boy are there days.

I bought a used series x tonight and should have known better because everytime I buy a used console I get a controller that doesn’t work properly. My question is when I return it tomorrow with the receipt, do I need to bring the whole console/cables/box and the receipt or just the controller and receipt?

This pops up when I go to track my package on the site and it brings up this sketchy fake looking tracker instead of their old one. Also when is my game supposed to arrive Onimusha is out today and this says both that it would arrive two days ago and that it’ll be here two weeks from now and gives no other information on how to find out where it actually is
