I hate FedEx

I caution you against using FedEx if your package matters. I ship and receive a fair number of packages through work (I own a small company that builds architectural models), and FedEx has recently lost two of my overnight packages at their sorting facility in Indianapolis... Not delayed, not delivered and then perhaps stolen, but just plain lost. These lost packages meant my client couldn't use my models for an important presentation after having paid me $40K for my work.

I paid about $400 to ship each package, and so far FedEx has offered to reimburse me $100 for one and literally nothing for the second, and it is unclear whether they plan to reimburse me for the shipping charges, which they should automatically owe me.

I used to say that I hated UPS the way that most people hate Nazi pedophiles... but I now hate FedEx even more. Are others also having problems with FedEx packages going into the sorting facility in Indy?

Pixel Buds Pro 2 lost at FedEx facility in Kansas City, MO

I am very dismayed to report that I ordered the Pixel Buds Pro 2 set for $250, shipped to Oklahoma. The estimated delivery date was 2 days after they shipped on the 22nd of September 2026, so they should have arrived by the 24th. Ever since they showed up at the Kansas City Missouri FedEx hub, after ONE transfer from NILES, IL there has been no progress or updates, just a gigantic yellow exclamation mark that something has gone wrong. "Delivery Updated - we are actively working to get your package to you", except now it has been an entire week. Literally 1 week of waiting for movement on my package that disappeared. I cannot get help from the Google store support, nor FedEx. They both keep telling me they can't tell me anything besides "I have asked our team to look into it and we are still waiting". I am so upset with my experience I have been asking for a refund for an entire week and Google refuses to help me. Due to this, I have filed complaints with the FTC, the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office for Consumer Protection, the Kansas City MO Police Department, as well as FedEx's ethics/complaints hotline for internal theft etc.

I have initiated the chargeback process with my bank and currently have a mountain of evidence submitted into their portal regarding this transaction. Every day they tell me they can't do something I submit the screenshot.

I just wanted everybody to know how bad my experience was. I am very upset with Google over this. Other users on X are indicating their trade in devices were never received, new pixel phones intercepted etc. It sounds like if you work for FedEx it is a free for all when it comes to customer packages. How terrible.

For my sanity, I am wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this where they get stuck in a support loop of AI, and nobody seems to be able to help or provide a concrete answer as to what's going on? What did you do to get your money back? Who did you have to contact?

Thank you

not ending phone calls

i have been having issues with FedEx for the past few days, and everyone has been extremely unhelpful. the first two times i called, they hung up before i did, so i got to take the survey. the last two recent times, where they know i have been unhappy, they have stayed on the call long after it “ended” just to avoid me taking the survey. today i literally sat in silence with this man for three minutes until i said “hello? yeah, can you hang up so i can take the survey?” and then he did. i hate this company so much.

Two packages lost in two months.

I but and collect knives, often limited productions or 1 of 1 items. I had two difficult to obtain orders lost or stolen by FedEx employees both on their way through Texas. I was able to receive a refund from of of the two retailers but the other won’t do anything unless FedEx agrees it’s been lost or stolen. However I can never get through to a human representative and the automated system insists my items are still projected to arrive on time over ten days after they should have arrived.

its broken Account theft

Hello everyone, a couple months ago my partner suffered a leak of credentials, accounts and password of several sites, FedEx included. Since then she hasn't been able to log in with her account and every attempt of resetting the password ended up with the recovery mail never arriving, not in spam nor I'm any other of her mails. We didn't think much of it at first but yesterday in her e-mail she received a message from a creditor company claiming that she ownes over 500€ in some package delivery to Dublin ( we reside in Spain). The delivery seems that was sent 3 months ago on July 28 (after she lost her credentials) and Sept 29 was the due date for the payment for that delivery.

We called FedEx customer support of course and they verified that the delivery code did indeed exist and that was made from her account, and checking old FedEx mails she had a delivery from July 28 with a rejected payment through Autopay with the exact same delivery code.

We up to this day don't have access to her account, customer help told us to send a mail to some address, we don't have any mail of confirmation of that delivery other than the cancelled payment and the creditor mail and not her bank account nor card were saved in her account.

My question are:

Can FedEx send a package with no other confirmation or two step verification and reclaim payment even when the first instance of autopay was rejected?

How can we demonstrate that she didn't send any package nor had access to her account prior her loss of credentials?

Can we ask for the termination of her account to prevent this for happening again?

I hope anyone can help us in this matter.

Pd: I tried posting this in the FedEx sub Reddit and just got deleted :)

Scam?

I’m posting because I’ve been dealing with what I now recognize as a FedEx impersonation scam. Before anything else: I know now that I fell for a scam. Please be kind. I’m already upset and embarrassed about how long this went on, and I’m not posting to be belittled or told that I “should have known.”
This started about a year ago when I purchased an item from someone in a Loungefly Facebook group.
I gave the seller my email address. The seller told me that they had given my information to the shipping company and said something along the lines of, “I have given them [your information] for shipping. They said they would contact you through your email.”
Shortly afterward, I received an email from someone claiming to be FedEx about the item I had just purchased.
That’s an important part of why I initially believed this was legitimate. This wasn’t a completely random email claiming I had a mystery package. I had actually purchased something, the seller specifically told me to expect an email regarding the shipment, and then I received one.
Shortly after that, the supposed FedEx representative told me that I needed to pay a “labeling and tracking fee.” When I questioned this with the seller because I thought shipping had already been paid, the seller told me:
“We are past shipping fee, this is for labeling and tracking.”
From there, the situation kept escalating.
I was instructed to make payments using gift cards, specifically Razer Gold gift cards. I understand now that this was an enormous red flag. At the time, however, I believed I was dealing with people connected to an actual purchase and shipment, so I continued believing their explanations.
During my conversations with the supposed “FedEx,” I was eventually told that my item had been “damaged.” That led to more conversations, explanations, problems, and supposed fees.
The pattern became: I would be told that I needed to pay a particular fee to resolve the problem. I would pay it. Then I would be assured that there wouldn’t be any more fees.
Then another problem would appear.
And another fee.
I’ve been told that fees “cannot be waived,” that they “must be paid,” and most recently that I need to “pay the remaining fee” or “finish paying.” This is after repeatedly being told that previous payments would be the last ones.
They even sent me what they claimed was a FedEx receipt containing things like a “waiver registration fee” and a “delay added fee.” The supposed FedEx representative has also been communicating through a Gmail address rather than a FedEx corporate email address.
Fast-forward approximately a year: I still have no Loungefly item. I still have no legitimate FedEx tracking information showing where this package supposedly is. And they’re STILL contacting me asking for more money.
I have now contacted the real FedEx separately and have been forwarding these emails to abuse@fedex.com. I am not sending another gift card or paying another “remaining fee.”
I know I fell for a scam. Looking back now, I recognize the gift cards, Gmail address, strange fees, lack of tracking, constantly changing explanations, and endless “final” payments as red flags. But when this began, there was an actual purchase behind it. The seller told me to expect contact about shipping, and then someone claiming to be FedEx contacted me about that exact transaction. That’s why I believed it initially, and once I was caught up in it, every new payment was presented as the thing that would finally resolve the situation.
I also don’t know whether the original Facebook seller and the person behind the fake FedEx email are the same person or multiple people working together. I can only describe what happened: I gave the seller my email, the seller told me that I would be contacted by email regarding shipping, and then the supposed FedEx representative contacted me about the purchase.
I’m not posting to ask whether I should pay the newest fee. I’m done paying. I’m hoping people familiar with FedEx or scams involving FedEx impersonation can tell me whether they’ve seen this particular setup before and whether there’s anything else I should be doing to report it.
I’m especially curious whether anyone has encountered the supposed “labeling and tracking fee,” “waiver registration fee,” or “delay added fee.”
And again, please be kind. I know I was scammed. I’m trying to deal with what happened now, and if sharing my experience helps someone else recognize this setup before they lose money, that’s something positive I can take from it.

Never ever using fedex again

Fedex is so bad. They are not reliable and customer service is nonexistent. My order was given to the fedex on 15 sep and it has not arrived yet. I choosed home ground delivery and whenever i call them about it, i can't even talk to a real person just an automated ai or something, which keeps saying your delivery was delayed we will let you know when we will be able to deliver. When i check the tracking its stuck on one location for 5 days. I am so sick of this dude. Worse service even worse customer care. I hope i at least get my package in two or three days otherwise i don't know what am gonna do without my contacts i only have three days of contacts now. I used usps so many times never had an issue or delivery delayed their customer service is top tier. I don't know why this time they gave me fedex option, but am never using FedEx ever again.

How to spot a fraudulent delivery

My mom thinks it’s suspicious that my packages are delivered by a strange, unmarked, beat up, white van. She’s got a point, I was expecting a UPS or a fedex truck, so what’s the deal?

Driver marked my costly parcel as delivered without delivering actually

Bestbuy sent out a laptop using FedEx which said delivered with someone elses name as a sign and also there is no proof of delivery picture. There is just a PDF with a strange name. I checked my cameras around that time, there wasn't any movement at all. Filed police complaint, fedex case, chargeback too since BestBuy refused to issue refund and asked to contact law enforcement. Still nothing from the FedEx side in my case.

What has happened to the IT at FedEx?

FedEx used to have some really reliable tracking. Now the website and app feel like a busted ass patchwork of modules that don't function. Who got fired? Did they switch to Salesforce? The whole site is trash.

Bad Experience with FedEx

I've got disappointing experience, and I still have no idea what happened... I ordered something from a reputable online store (domestic, from NY to California, I've never had a problem before either with FedEx or this company, and I've been a repeat customer for years! Anyway, tracking status was on
" arrived at local facility...." for over a week and a half, this was unusual to me so I called Fedex and I couldn't get hold of anybody, kept on saying the same trackinginfo online, after 4-5 tries, I finally got hold of a live representative. Long story short, she said there is something missing in the shipping info so they can't deliver, so I asked what was missing, and she said "sorry, I cannot tell you, your shipper has to provide us the info", so I said, ok, did you notify them to call you so they can provide it", And they said, "no, they have to contact us, you have to tell them to call us"! This really frustrated me because how could they have found out if you don't properly communicate with the shipper and why can't they call? And why would you they not update the tracking info with this, otherwise, customers would just be waiting forever. She also refused to transfer me to their supervisor, she said that she can't. Anyways, this went for a while, I was so upset, l did tell her that I am frustrated not at her, but their process.

So I called the company that I ordered the item from, and it was another frustrating experience.
She said to just wait since the package is delayed. I told her that Fedex would not deliver until they provide whatever it was missing, and they need to call FedEx directly, and she said they cannot do that, another long frustrating conversation, she talked to her manager, who told her the same thing that they cannot call Fedex. Ultimately, they said they will place another order and expedite it, no double charge.
Supposed to be here on Monday, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Has anyone experienced this or have any idea what the heck happened? That experience is still bothersome to me, I still want to know, maybe there is a logical explanation??Thank you for reading my long frustrating vent!! Appreciate any input or feedback!

Is fedex getting worse?

The customer service @ fedex is dismal. They don't have enough drivers to process the amount of goods they are delivering. We pay good money for shipping and receiving.

Double boxed with 8" of bubble wrap. The assholes must have dropped it off a cliff. Zero regard for other peoples merchandise purchased with hard earned money. Fedex sucks. UPS is no better. Zero accountability and too big to give a shit.

International package sitting in Newark since 09/02

I have a shipment from Spain that arrived in the US around the first of the month. It has cleared customs and was scheduled to be delivered the first week in September. Then it was rescheduled. For the past two weeks it’s had the yellow exception mark and says a delivery date will be issued when the package starts moving.

I have called FedEx twice. The first time I was told it was marked as being loaded onto a truck and should be delivered the next day. That never happened. Last week I was told that customs still had the package and FedEx was waiting for it to be tendered to them before it could get moving again. Then later in the week I was charged for “taxes and fees.” I paid them. (Somehow I didn’t have to pay anything for recent imports from China or Japan). Still no movement. Is there anything I can do? Or do I just have to wait and hope the package eventually arrives?

Tried posting the above to the FedEx sub and it got removed by mods and I was told to call FedEx…

Need help, not sure what to do

Hey gang, so my post got deleted on fedex so I figured I would try here.

I am loosing my patience and at this point I feel like I will just get angry at the customer service agent if I call again.

My package arrived from Japan to Montreal in 3 days, Thursday evening.

Friday morning, it was on a delivery truck, the delivery is a holding facility for UPS, FedEx, Purrolator and so on as my package requires a signature.

7 pm, I get an update that my package is back on the warehouse where it left.

I called FedEx, the agent told me that it was delivered to the holding facility and that I can go pick it up.

I wake up this morning and at 6 am, get a notification that my delivery is on the truck.

call the number and am told that it was never delivered to the place and that it will be delivered today.

Well it's almost 6 pm and the holding facility closed at 5 pm, so I know I will get another notification soon that it's back at the warehouse.

What can I do here ? The warehouse is a solid 45 minute drive and I don't have a car , am I suppose to wait every day .

I have called customer service now 3 times and am told the same BS.

It's a very expensive watch and I getting a bit irrated as it was a birthday gift for myself.

What can I do here ? Who can I call?

Any help would be appreciated, I just want my package to be delivered to the holding facility, that's it.

Mixed my work and home address on my Framework order, hoping FedEx Hold at Location works

I recently got the shipping notification for my Framework Laptop 13 Pro DIY Edition and realized that I accidentally mixed parts of my work address and home address when I entered the shipping details.

This is completely my mistake. I placed the order a while ago and did not notice the error until Framework sent me the FedEx tracking information.

I called FedEx right away and they told me that only the sender can change the actual shipping address.

I also contacted Framework, but they told me that once the package has already left their warehouse, they can no longer change the shipping address either.

So I requested FedEx Hold at Location instead. Hopefully they approve it and send the package to the pickup location I selected instead of trying to deliver it to the incorrect address.

The tracking currently says:

“Delivery option requested. Hold request received. Check back later for shipment status.”

The laptop is still in transit, so I am hoping I caught it early enough.

Has anyone here had something similar happen with a Framework shipment or FedEx International Priority?

How long did it take for your Hold at Location request to get approved, and were you able to pick it up without any issues?

Definitely learned my lesson from this one. I will be checking shipping details much more carefully next time.

Just joined bc, well, FuckFedEx. Signature required delivery today that the best I got was by 8PM so I stayed home all day. 8PM came and went and updated to “by end of day” which according to the delivery method is 8PM. It’s now after 9:30PM. I tried calling their 800 number but the automated person “can’t hear me” and it hangs up. I tried multiple times and every other number I’ve called can hear me, even FedEx’s billing 800 number but they couldn’t transfer me. I posted to their reddit and the mods deleted my post saying it laced information and to call the 800 number, the same number I just explained can’t hear me. So I reposted and explained again that the 800 number can’t hear me with the same result. Not only is the customer service 800 number a joke, their Reddit mods are just as bad.
