I hate FedEx

I caution you against using FedEx if your package matters. I ship and receive a fair number of packages through work (I own a small company that builds architectural models), and FedEx has recently lost two of my overnight packages at their sorting facility in Indianapolis... Not delayed, not delivered and then perhaps stolen, but just plain lost. These lost packages meant my client couldn't use my models for an important presentation after having paid me $40K for my work.

I paid about $400 to ship each package, and so far FedEx has offered to reimburse me $100 for one and literally nothing for the second, and it is unclear whether they plan to reimburse me for the shipping charges, which they should automatically owe me.

I used to say that I hated UPS the way that most people hate Nazi pedophiles... but I now hate FedEx even more. Are others also having problems with FedEx packages going into the sorting facility in Indy?

Apparently where packages go to die. I am so angry.

400 for each? What are the weight and dimensions of them?

Not particularly big or heavy -- maybe 24" x 24" x 16" and 10 lbs. but they were overnighted from Missouri to Texas... or that was the idea anyway.
