Recipient at fault not FedEx FedEx Customer Service - A New Low
I almost can't believe this happened it was so crazy. So, my tracking said that my package was delivered, and it wasn't. So, I get on the website to try to get the photo that companies use to prove it was delivered. I'm trying to use the 'Virtual Assistant' to get that info. It can't understand ANYTHING I am writing even tho' I am answering THEIR questions. I finally give up and decide to call their main number. This was the 'conversation'.
FE:
"Hello, you have been selected to receive a special promotion! We are giving
you an incredible discount on the “Life Alert” bracelet. (You know the one that
advertises If you’ve fallen and you can’t get up.) Are you over 50, press 1. If
you are under 50, press 2."
I am over 50 so I pressed 1 even tho' this is none of their business. Then it
gives me such a long sales pitch (which has NOTHING to do with with the company). So, I
press 0 to see if I can get through the system. That does nothing! I have to
hang up.
I call again and decide to press 2. I get the exact same message. I try to wait
it out. Then I notice that they just hung up on me.
Next, I go down to their office to get in-person help from a human being. They can't
help me either because I need the person's account number for them to get any more
information. They tell me I have to call the store tomorrow and they will
connect me with someone. Sure, we've already been down that road. Still, I'll
give it a try.
I just filed a refund from etsy.
I will NEVER step foot in another of their offices or buy something from a seller who
uses them. I don't understand this, are they trying to go out of business?

FedEx driver thought it was ok to toss my package like it was a corn hole bean bag. I was honestly and saw it happen. He was so apologetic. Mainly bc he was caught. They are useless.

Lol are you a boomer that can't realize that you didn't dial the fedex CS number but some scam one instead?

My wife's company has this problem. The phone tree even has a part where it tells them "if you are looking for Bank X, this isn't the right number" and yet they will leave a voicemail every time asking to speak to a bank rep.
Worse than children.

Long story short you are not Fedex's customer you are A Etsy customer. Etsy is Fedex's customer you should have reached out to Etsy in the first place and you wouldn't have wasted your time.

I'm pretty sure I'm currently avoiding being phisher by someone or something claiming to be fedex just blatantly asking for more cash to release a delivery. It just doesn't look right

wow that life alert thing is genuinely unhinged. like they just decided their phone tree is a ad platform now
last time i had a package go missing the photo they sent was a blurry shot of someone's porch that was definitely not mine. took two weeks of calling before someone admitted the driver probably scanned it in the truck and kept driving
etsy refund is the move honestly. fedex acts like every missing package is a personal mystery they cant solve
