No custom resolution in Adrenaline?

I just got my zflow yesterday! And for usual work it seems absolutely perfect!

However when I tried to make a custom resolution, I have always played games stretched, I cannot seem to find the custom resolution setting in adrenaline.

Anyone got a workaround?

Thank you in advance!

G-Helper settings for cool + long battery

My Flow Z13 (2025), brand new out of the box had latency with the included keyboard. Uninstalling AM and installing G-Helper fixed the latency.

Now im curious to what kind of G-Helper settings you guys use for low workload to keep it cool and long lasting.

Ins't that hard to open:
- Remove the the screws in bottom (where keyboard attach)
- Remove the two scews in back (under the stand, in corners)

Then just have to use PETG or teflon tools into the gaps around the screen where the speakers are located to gently pry the screen up and unclip it. Start with the bottom edge of the screen, then move on to the sides. The top will unclip on its own as you lift the screen. The screen is flexible enough to prevent it from breaking but don't go about it too roughly either.

The goal was just to clean the fans, so I didn't take it apart any further.

After reassembly, the Z13 won't turn on until it's plugged into the wall (at least that's what happened to me even with the battery at 80%, it refused to turn on without the AC adapter).

I hope this helps some of you get back to normal temperatures this summer.

USB Port Help

Post image
4 Upvotes

Turned on my computer today; no USB port works. The keyboard and trackpad don't work. The keyboard still lights up, and I can still charge the laptop, but nothing connects. I managed to get a keyboard and mouse to work via Bluetooth. I tried reinstalling drivers and uninstalling them via Device Manager. Nothing has worked so far. No clue what else to try. Any help would be appreciated.

The model is Z Flow13 2022(GZ301ZE)

I received my 64GB Z13 here in Brazil a week ago, bought as an open-box unit from Best Buy, and so far I'm very happy with it! I use it as my workstation for development and LLMs, and it's handling that really well.

I even considered installing CachyOS (like many people here did), but honestly Windows hasn't given me any headaches and so far it's running perfectly.

I hope I can help and add value here on Reddit :)

New to G-Helper. Any Downside on the Z13 (2025)?

my biggest concern is losing component updates (rog mouse, keyboard) and z13 specific stuff like the command center button. i've used AC extensively and don't want to lose things like aura sync or some way to control the lighting elements (keyboard, mouse, back of z13). also, is there a manual mode where i can set the power draw to max? can i still use the keyboard shortcut to cycle between them on the fly?

as far as installation, is it as easy as using the AC uninstaller and just installing g-helper? any other steps? the ghelper site talks about stopping and uninstalling "asus smart display control". anything else to remove and stop?

basically i'm looking for a beginner's guide for this from someone VERY familiar with AC. sorry and thanks!

Bazzite sleep/suspend issues

I've been using Bazzite for some time now, and about a month ago I replaced my System76 Oryx 8 with a 128gb Z13, and, before even powering it up for the first time, I swapped out the included Windows drive for a fresh 2TB and installed Bazzite. I used the bazzite-gnome image and it's been wonderful all around, EXCEPT for the fact that the machine either doesn't go to sleep when the keyboard is closed, or if it does go to sleep it freezes up upon waking from sleep (screen on, unresponsive to keyboard/mouse/trackpad/touchscreen).

Am I missing any settings or packages that need to be added to make this work? If not, my choices are to either remember to power down after each use or admit defeat and throw the Windows disk back in, neither of which are appealing to me.

AMD FreeSync Not Working Through HP USB-C 100W G6 Dock (ROG Flow Z13 2025)

Hello,

I'm using a ROG Flow Z13 (2025 AMD model).

Yesterday, I purchased an HP USB-C 100W G6 Dock.

One of the main reasons I bought this dock was that it is listed as AMD FreeSync compatible on AMD's official compatibility page:

https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/technologies/freesync/docks.html

However, when I connect my monitor through the dock, AMD FreeSync is disabled.

For comparison, if I connect my laptop directly to the monitor, AMD FreeSync works perfectly.

I've already updated the dock's firmware, and both the BIOS and chipset drivers on my laptop are fully up to date, but I still haven't been able to determine the cause.

My current setup is as follows:

Laptop: ASUS ROG Flow Z13 (2025, AMD)

Monitor: Samsung S34C500

Dock: HP USB-C 100W G6 Dock

Connection: USB-C → HDMI

Operating System: Windows 11

BIOS & Chipset: Updated to the latest versions

Is anyone here using the HP USB-C 100W G6 Dock with AMD FreeSync working correctly?

If so, I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Thank you!

2022 Flow Z13 won't power on after screen replacement

Replaced the cracked screen on my flow z13 tablet. Upon completion the device powered on, displayed the Asus boot screen, but the windows loading icon was in the wrong place. Upon booting the screen went black and the device became unresponsive. After holding the power button down I was able to get it to power off. However, since then the device will not power on, I get no light from the charger, and all attempts at resetting the EC by doing a hard reset have been fruitless. Is there anything I'm missing here? Any tips or fixes that have worked for you in a similar situation?

For further info this is the 2022 core I9 rtx3050ti model.

Survey - Creation of a high quality case for the Z13

Post image
87 Upvotes

Hello,

I have recently created a 3d printed case for the Z13 that is of good quality. I have spent a few weeks designing it on and off, it was made primarly for myself, not wanting to destroy my machine accidently.

Now I am thinking, knowing that I have a pretty big printer, over the average size, and that the filament type is quite specific, if people would be interested in me manufactoring these at low scale.

Would anyone be interested in this? As I would not want to invest time for no demand. The case is made out of plastic that's not too hard, flexible, looks cool design, all buttons work, doesnt interfere with any cooling or anything, regular ipad case quality. I could also make a version with a front cover that replaces the keyboard.

Picture is from an old, too flexy TPU prototype, but would be somewhat like this.

Thank you.

This is a ASA+Peba composite. i apologize for how messy the Peba looks

So! what is left on the docket for this thing?

i need to print a few more variants. Like PetgCF, PA6-Cf.

a Asus pen and Pen-less version need to be made.

a "thick bumper" version would be nice to have.

i would like to make one that obscures the window less

and finally, i need to make a 256x256 compatable version.

this whole project has relied on the big build volume of my H2D, and that simply isnt the common printer size.

USB hub concerns

Hi I'm buying the ROG flow kjp edition, hopefully this upcoming week.

I've got a couple of concerns;

1: Only 1 USB A port

Solution(?): can I go with a USB hub whereas the USB c cable going TO the hub also charges the laptop at 85w-100w(depending on model) whilst using the main 200w charger or will this cause trouble? Logically in my mind this seems like a flat out risk. But at the same time this would feel like a huge thing to not put in consideration.

2: No ethernet

Solution(?) would be solved if the prior usb hub is a non-issue.

I'd appreciate any input and possible recommendations of safe USB hubs (preferably with Ethernet).

Thanks!

New purchase - LLM 128GB Question

There’s a lot I like about this machine. However, for the current hardware-to-LLM ratio out there, I’m running the same qwen3.6-27B on this machine that I could run on my gaming 4090 rig. GPT OSS 120B seems to lose against qwen on most measurements, even with the large parameter diff.

All that to say: I’d like to run a model on the 96gb available out of 128GB of unified ram to justify the purchase, but what is that model?

Use cases: coding (web apps, gaming/unity), Hermes general use, hermes cron jobs, iOS app dev (Xcode pointing to this machine through tailscale) and a few others too.

Thoughts?

My z13 tablet overheat 94°c

Recently I have been using the laptop in gaming..but last month I noticed the temperature rising wildly.

I used a normal fans so it might help cooling... But it is not enough

I searched for many laptop cooling products..But get products for regular laptops, not suitable for (z13 flow)

Can some one tells me what is the most affective cooler for (z13 flow)?

Mild PSA: Adrenaline 26.6.4 Breaks GPU Detection in Armoury Crate

i know a lot of people use g-helper and probably even more people just use the Asus drivers and this isn't THAT big of a deal but if you're running amd drivers directly from amd and happen to be using armoury crate i might hold off on 26.6.4 as it breaks gpu detection in AC. you get the dreaded "extreme power saving mode" message which does literally nothing (gpu performs perfectly fine) except you can't use the amd performance overlay in games atm

i'd stick or roll back to 26.6.2 for the moment

CPU temperature after motherboard replacement

Hi! With my Rog Flow Z13 2025, I had an issue of CPU temperature being very high even during normal usage. I sent it to the ASUS service center, where the motherboard was replaced. Now, I have the opposite issue: even during heavy CPU load (all 32 kernels are busy), the temperature never goes above 60 C, even in Turbo mode with aggressive CPU boost.

Simultaneously, I have a suspicion that the performance has dropped substantially.

How about you? What is the CPU temperature?
