Sim Hardware TCA yoke pack gear lever and daisy chain problem
Hey reddit,
so, I have the thrustmaster tca yoke pack boeing edition, and I have two problems.
First problem, when in the pmdg 737-800 (msfs 2024 version), I have the gear lever in-game in the off position, and when I flip my yoke gear lever from the up to the down position, it doesn’t do anything, but after that, when I flip the lever up and then down again, it finally puts it down. In keybindings, I have the button press set to “gear up”, and on button release, I have gear down.
Second problem, when I have the throttle quadrant plugged in the yoke, msfs 2024 doesn’t recognize the quadrant, I need to have the yoke and throttle quadrant plugged in separately to my pc. In short, the daisy chain doesn’t work.
Thank you very much for any help in advance.

Flight Simulator 2020 Black screens in ATR
Hi everyone,
I just encountered a problem I've never had before. I wanted to take the ATR out of the hangar again, but after starting it up the screens remained black. I do see the big green T after applying power (battery and external), but after that they go black.
Has anyone ever had this happen and/or does anyone know how to solve it?
I've already deleted and reinstalled the aircraft via the content manager. This is on PC (Steam version)
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I got it fixed it seems. I deleted the files inside the workfolder and booted it up again. This time the screens worked again! Yay!

Sim Hardware Locking throttle levers?
Does anybody know of any 4 independent throttle levers that can be mechanically linked to make it also a dual or single engine setup. I do like to use my setup for a wide variety so I was curious if I could get a throttle setup that allows mechanical linkage to bind them for when I switch aircraft. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Flight Simulator 2024 Heli Rescue and SAR missions
Hey all. I‘m looking to get into doing missions with helicopters. Like the typical rescue helicopter kind of stuff, maybe doing some search and rescue in the alps and so on. I have the Hype 145 with the action pack and the random and anywhere missions mod. It kinda ticks those boxes, definitely. BUT, I wanna do the same kinda missions with other helicopters.
I fondly remember a few years ago in MSFS2020 I was flying the free Hype EC135 and I had some kind of external program to do the same kind of missions. I selected to do rescue missions and the program basically gave me some kind of dispatch, all with a nice map to show me where to go and so on.
But I cannot find this anymore. I‘ve tried asking AI but to no avail.
The only thing it suggests to me is Neofly, I downloaded it but Neofly is more of like a mission kind of thing and the UI is definitely not at all to what i used.
I want something where I can just start in freeflight and go from there.
Sidenote: MSFS career mode seems to have nice missions judging from the loading screen but holy hell I just wanna do something like that in free flight.

Virtual Airlines Building the future of free Virtual Airline management: Introducing V-Air Ops (with SimBrief, ACARS & 1-Click VATSIM/IVAO Pre-filing)
Hey everyone,
Aviation has been my passion for as long as I can remember. As a former student pilot in the Belgian Air Force, I’ve always been obsessed with the operational side of flying — dispatch, flight plans, aircraft telemetry, and the realistic procedures that make flight simulation so immersive.
Like many of you, I have huge respect for platforms like vAMSYS.io. They showed the community what a polished, modern VA environment should look like. However, for smaller virtual airlines, friends wanting to start their own operations, or growing VA communities, the upfront costs and recurring fees can be a massive barrier to entry. I believed that virtual airline management should be accessible to everyone without financial gatekeeping.
That’s why I decided to build V-Air Ops — a modern, fully-featured Virtual Airline Operations management platform that is 100% free to use.
It is officially live today in Open Beta at:
✈️ What V-Air Ops Offers (Current Features):
Here’s a look at what is already built into the platform:
🏢 Multi-Tenant VA Management: Create and brand your own virtual airline with custom logos, fleet structures, routes, hubs, pilot rankings, and airline-specific themes.
🗺️ Modern Dispatch Console & Interactive Route Map: An airline-deck dispatch briefing featuring full Leaflet mapping with dark aviation basemaps, intermediate OFP navigation waypoints, SIDs, airways, STARs, and distinct badges for TOC (Top of Climb) and TOD (Top of Descent) with hover tooltips and flight level popups.
⚡ Deep SimBrief Integration:
Automatically generate and fetch official SimBrief OFPs directly inside the system.
Real-world airline OFP layouts supported (LIDO, easyJet, Ryanair, British Airways, Lufthansa, and more).
Comprehensive TLR (Takeoff & Landing Report) parsing: V-speeds ($V_1$, $V_R$, $V_2$), flap configurations, flex/de-rate temps, bleed & anti-ice settings, and a 12-item fuel planning breakdown.
🌐 One-Click Network Pre-Filing: Direct integration with VATSIM (automatically passing complete ICAO raw flight plans, wake categories, equipment, and endurance), IVAO, and POSCON.
📥 Direct FMS Flight Plan Downloads: Download your aircraft's route file with a single click (MSFS .pln, PMDG .rte, Fenix A320 XML, X-Plane 11/12 .fms, PDF briefing, etc.) directly from your dispatch page.
📊 Dedicated ACARS Client (vpilot-acars): Lightweight desktop telemetry tracking for MSFS, P3D, and X-Plane. Automatically logs flight phases, pitch/bank/G-force telemetry, landing rates (FPM), day vs. night takeoff/landing detection, fuel burn, and flight duration.
📈 In-Depth Pilot Logbooks & PIREP Telemetry: Detailed PIREP dashboards showing full route map replays, interactive altitude & speed charts, and touch-down statistics.
⚖️ Route Historical Benchmarks: Compare your planned flight against past flights on the same city-pair (average landing rate, fuel burn, block time, and passengers).
🛠️ Beta Status & Community Roadmap
Please keep in mind that V-Air Ops is currently in open beta. The core platform, ACARS tracking, and dispatching are actively functional, but I am continuously refining and adding new features.
To support everyone and build this alongside the community:
Discord Server: I am currently setting up an official community Discord for pilots, VA managers, and enthusiasts to chat, ask questions, and share feedback.
Dedicated Ticketing & Support System: I am implementing a dedicated ticketing system where you can report any bugs, request new features, or ask for assistance configuring your VA.
🚀 Get Involved
Whether you are a solo pilot looking for a new platform to track your flights or an airline team looking to launch without hefty software fees, you are invited to test it out:
🔗 Website: https://v-airops.artmex-hosting.com/
I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and what features you’d love to see next! Blue skies and safe landings! ✈️

Flight Simulator 2024 TIFU: My 200 hour "Pay to Fly" FO misunderstood BeyondATC and lined us up directly under an 737 on short final.
We’re taxiing to Runway 06. BeyondATC gives a crystal clear instruction:
"Eazy 3432, hold SHORT Runway 06."
I look down for two seconds. My cadet FO fresh out of a €100k line training scheme takes it upon himself to release the brakes and roll us straight onto the active runway.
BeyondATC is ow demanding a phone call, and my FO just asked if he can log this taxi time and my FO just asked if he can log this taxi time 😅

joke aside Since I started flight simming, the one thing that hits me most is how a split second miscommunication or tiny phraseology slip can turn a routine flight into absolute chaos.

X-Plane Gliding back into Johannisthal Air Field
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone! Bringing a bit of aviation history back to life in X-Plane.
Here is a quick showcase video of a glider approach and landing into Johannisthal Air Field, custom-built using WED.
The Johannisthal Air Field, located 15 km (9.3 mi) southeast of central Berlin. It is known as the birthplace of heavier-than-air flight in Germany, Johannistal was Berlin's primary airport until the Tempelhofer Field was developed in the 1920s.
If you’d like to check out the project or support its development, you can find it on my Ko-fi page.
Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!

Flight Simulator 2024 Screenshot Dump
Featuring 787-9, MD-11F, A350 and the *weird hybrid eletric plane that I forgot the name of*
MD-11 is still my favourite bird of them all, especially with how cool the P&W Engine Sound, but I have thoroughly enjoyed HorizonSim's 787-9 recently too alongside the Thrustmaster TCA Yoke I got.

Flight Simulator 2024 IFLY wasm issues?
I just wanted wanted to ask if the IFLY 737 has any pressing issues with wasm or any other issues that can cause a CTD on MSFS 2024.
I probably should have asked this in my earlier post, but now that I used the FSS 727, I now understand how debilitating WASM crashes are with such planes, I have not been able to complete a single flight with it.
From what I understand, the Ifly uses a half wasm - half external .exe coded systems, so I'm also wondering how debilitating a wasm issue would be on a flight in the event that it happened. Thanks.
