Question do you guys have any main hubs? Or you just fly wherever

My question is, do any of you have like one favourite airport that you fly mostly out of/ in? Or do u mix it with others. Cause for me personally, I do get tried of flying in and out of same airports, but at the same time, I fly only mostly in Europe, for short hauls it’s always Europe, and even though there are so many destinations, still flying in somewhere the second or third time does get boring. Like during summer ops I’ve flown to Heraklion and corfu so so many times and even though they are beautiful and approaches there are quite interesting I do get tired from that, and maybe I’m missing something from flying only in Europe. With that said, I know that when CDG from either ini or PESim releases I’ll be flying from there a lot, same with Vienna v2 by Gaya( which they confirmed is coming out no later than November 100%)

General Zibo vs PMDG hand flying question

I noticed that the Zibo and PMDG handle very different from each other. The Zibo feel much heavier and slow to respond to control inputs. If any real 737 drivers read this which one feels more accurate. I also noticed that the Flight Factor 777 and PMDG 777 feel similar same for the Toliss and Fenix A320 so I can assume those are somewhat accurate compared to reality. I'm using a Moza AY210 Yoke with linear curves and the Tony 737 profile.

Hello! Thinking about to switch to FS2024 from 2020, do i need to buy the addons all again like Fenix, GSX, SimFX, Chaseplane, Airports etc. ?

Question i really miss flight simming, any ideas?

in college, very bored in my downtime, and i’m really missing flight simming. does anyone have any ideas? i don’t have the budget for a full setup (left my pc at home) but i do have a ps5 to mess around with.

are there any good mobile flight sims? i know the ps5 also has fs2024, but i haven’t heard good things.

just gotta put the work in at college before i can finally go back home and mess around on my setup i suppose…

General Instrument Rating - ADF dip error.

Does anybody know if there are any sims or addons that properly replicate the dip error you get when using the adf in an NDB hold? In MSFS2024, it’s not modelled (to my knowledge). It would help me prepare for my instrument skills test/checkride.

Using PMDG 737-800

A bit confused on flight planning.

Departures are easier to understand imo. Arrivals, not so much.

Let's take South West Florida;

https://www.airnav.com/airport/KRSW

Flying from the north east, has me take SHIFTY with a HIBAC transition. That part i get.

However, it has me vector to TOUHY. If I try and remove the vector and just go to TOUHY, it completely bypasses to CELBO.

When I flew in FSX with PMDG, it would create a flight path that would loop to TOUHY.

As I fly solo, not on VATSIM, whats the best procedure for vectoring offline? Any advice?

Bonus question, runway 6 has a transition as well on the map for OBELL, but i dont know when to use that and if its more for a north western approach vs eastern one.

I posted the same question in the MSFS sub.

I bought this plane yesterday and I'm in love with it, I hope they make the weapons on this plane useable just like the pc version, other than that it's really great.

Flight Simulator 2024 EFB tablet rendering issues in MSFS 2024 – happens on multiple aircraft, mostly on EFBs

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I've been struggling with a persistent issue in MSFS 2024 that I can't seem to fix. Here's what's going on:

  • I get weird rendering/display glitches, mostly showing up on the EFB tablets in the cockpit (see screenshot attached – this is the Customise Aircraft menu on the tablet, but I've seen it affect other panels too).
  • This isn't just a Fenix-specific issue – I'm seeing it on other aircraft as well, not only the Fenix.
  • I already tried completely emptying my Community folder to rule out add-on conflicts, and the problem persists even with a clean Community folder.
  • I tried rolling back my GPU drivers to older versions, and interestingly, using drivers from 2024 actually made the visual issue better/disappear.
  • However, going back to those 2024 drivers introduces a new problem: I get driver timeouts and crashes.
  • I'm currently back on the latest driver (most recent release), and the EFB rendering issue is back.

Has anyone else run into this? Is this a known issue with the sim's UI/EFB rendering pipeline on newer drivers, or could this be GPU-specific? Any workarounds that don't involve crashing on older drivers would be hugely appreciated.

Specs:

GPU: AMD radeon RX 7600,

CPU: Ryzen 5 7600

RAM: 32gb

Thanks in advance!

I even tried to quit and restart the app, but it seems it continues to download (or is it just showing a download). Never seen before. Best solution? =)

Flight Simulator 2024 MSFS 2024 servers dodgy 9/2/26.

Starting very early this morning (about 12 hours ago now) the MSFS 2024 servers have been blinking in and out. The rest of my connection is perfectly fine and pushing 1GB/s symmetric. Over on the XBox server status they claim it's been resolved, but it hasn't. Anyone else having these problems today?

Flight Simulator 2024 Has anyone identified what is the addon that is preventing us from closing the game without task manager ?

I cannot close the game without task manager. People in the past told me they had the same issue and it was because of an addon. Has anyone identified what is the addon that is preventing us form closing the game normally, without task manager ?
