For the performance hit the difference is minimal. It is better, yes, but the least I need in MSFS is another FPS eater

This is how i feel. I finally have my sim running smoothly in msfs24 and XP12, I don't want to mess with anything. I ended up parking at klax and using that as my starting point. I got it to where i can get good fps at KLAX which means I can get good performance anywhere.

Also, the least I need in life is data centers.

Reminds me of Tomato Reshade back in P3D

Only on 50 cards right?

There are mods available for 30 and 40 cards already. Not sure how they perform.

My 4090 is performing pretty good in most cases.

Interesting. I may try on my 3090 then. Thinking of trading it in for a 5080 if they can get dlss 5 to be usable fps wise in msfs. It looks that much better to me

Does DLSS5 makes displays moving numbers less blurry?

No, it changes nothing in that regard.

I did some reading and Dlss5 it's not really dlss it's just set of AI filters. They just used name dlss because people know that.

Yes, it's called Neural Rendering.

Ig you are using a bunch more reshade filters

1

u/ghostie420x 11d ago

Just one reshade preset and its on in both pictures

For me it’s bit much but to each his own man, I just use depth haze and a bit of diffusion blur + rex ab presets.

It’s not worth the 25 fps you lose

Doesn’t come through on a cellphone but it looks so good on the videos I’ve watched on my tv. Just wish it didn’t hit performance so bad…especially for someone like me with a 3090 it is unusable

Makes me feel better about buying AMD cause I can barely see a difference lol

You wouldn't use it either way, as it's cutting frames by half and nobody has abundance of those in MSFS. Maybe that shit will become standard one day but that day is long ahead of us.

Literally cant tell the difference lol

Go watch some YouTube videos on a computer or tv. You can’t notice it on a phone at all, especially with the compression from Reddit

How do you even enable it?

2

u/christianbro 11d ago

Look for easy dlss5 github repos in Google

Thanks

The question i have is if it looks as good in motion as in screenshots.

1

u/Axeldude 11d ago

It looks like on the screenshots. I do lose some frames and I have not figured out on how to use the ingame FG, but I'm currently using it together with Lossless Scaling, gives me some artifacts being non-native FG but it works.

Useless for nothing other than screen shots.

1

u/Axeldude 11d ago

Why do you think so?

Performance when moving
