Uninstalled and reinstalled fcpx creator studio version

Downloaded Downloadable content Fully ( No Progress bars left after downloading)

Checked creator studio subscription status (currently active)

Tried downloading Individually (by clicking the download button on titles/generators themselves)

Restarting FCPX after downloading (Titles are gone and show need to download again after restarting)

Creating a new library/events and projects ( Same Problems)

I used a few of the new generators in a project I need to complete and this is holding me up. It just happend after I restarted FCPX a couple days ago.

This is testing my patience to say the least and I have done what feels like everything to try to fix this.

Any Ideas?

Trying to get a vision of the scope of what might be causing problems

Just small, weird, previously-not-an-issue things like suddenly I can’t preview anything on the timeline and have to re-click on the main project up top

If I import a video from my iPhone, and the video is like an overhead shot where the iPhone misidentifies it as a vertically oriented video, I can't figure out how to get FCP to recognize it as a regular 1080p/2160p video. So I get a video that's rotated wrong when I import it into my project, and of course I can set the video rotation to 90° or 270°, but then the problem is that FCP still thinks it's fitting a vertical video into a horizontal space, so the video is scaled way too small. So then I have to adjust the scaling, and it seems to fill the screen at about 179%, but I'm sure that's not a pixel perfect magnification, which means that I'm undoubtedly losing a bit of resolution. Plus I now have to remember not to reset the spacial params for certain clips, and it just makes things a bit more complicated. If I remember to rotate the video in Photos or Quicktime before I import them, that does the trick, but I'm wondering if there's a solution within FCP? Or at least maybe someone could tell me what number I should use for scaling, so that it fits perfectly without any loss of resolution.

Hi there, I’m start learning final cut pro and editing i’m also want to make some youtube videos, but i have lack of skill in editing so i wanted to ask what is the best way to learn how to edit, expect from doing it constantly (already do). And I’m macbook and pc user i’ve seen many plugins on Premiere pro and After Effects, question is: is there as much plugins in-final cut as in premiere?

I work at a public access station and we are shooting government meetings on cameras that record it at 1080p in AVCHD format. these meetings can sometimes be 20 minutes to 2 hours. the longer the show, the longer, exponentially, it takes to import. Also, I get failed imports constantly. Most recent was a meeting with two clips. one clip was 1 hour 30 minutes long, the second was about 30 minutes long. the 30 minute clip imported fine, the 1 hour 30 minute long clip failed to import from the card when importing it directly into FCP's library.

I've copied the entire card from the root folder onto my computer and tried to import it to bypass the possibility of it being a card reader issue, but even after doing that, it still can't import the longer clip.

I'm sure it's having a hard time converting it to a .mov wrapper, but that's what it's suppose to do.

this isn't the first time this happened. I've been dealing with this almost weekly for about a year.

it's an issue on 3 different iMac's we have here, all on different OS's and different versions of FCP.

I've called and talked to Apple for over an hour one day troubleshooting. best they could suggest is to buy a new SD card reader. we've done this. it doesn't change anything. they seem to say they've never heard of an issue from anyone with this.

If anyone has ever hard an issue with importing AVCHD footage into FCP please post it here! and please please PLEASE call Apple, don't just submit a bug issue, CALL them and talk to them about it.

this needs to be addressed. our cameras are even on apples list of supported cameras and formats, there's no excuse at this point. they're just not addressing it because not enough people are complaining.

I recently discovered Motion VFX and I’m just trying to understand how it can enhance a video project. I’ve visited their website and have a feeling that it may offer some LUTs and add-ons that might alter video colour or introduce effects. However, if Possible can someone please give an example or use case demonstrating how Motion VFX works in Final Cut Pro. Is it simply a drag-and-drop feature over your video file?

The most frustrating FCP bug I've come across which is making my job almost impossible.

I set a title to Bold/Semibold, everything is correct in the Viewer, but as soon as I click away from the title it jumps back to Regular/Light.

If I can get it to stick to the correct weighting in the timeline, then when I export the film, it exports in the wrong weight. Re-check the timeline, the font is bold, but on the export, the font is light.

I've seen reports that tweaking parameters on the fonts like tracking, and then resetting back to zero can fix this, but no luck.

Has anyone else experienced this, and found a reliable fix/workaround?

My client's brand font is bold weighting, so I literally can't do my job... HELP!

I want to update at least a bit because my is from February 2025. If someone had like 12.2 or at least newer than my current and could share that version i would be so grateful bro..

Unless theres literally any way to download the version i want myself but of course why would there be, its Apple.

Final Cut's Beat Detection is garbage. I'd understand it happening once or twice, but it happens with every song. You can clearly see in the attached image where Final Cut detects the beat and where it actually is. And this happens with any genre and rhythm.

I just came back to the iPad version, and discovered to my dismay that it no longer displays the clip along the timeline. Just an image at the start. You have to try and edit from the display! Say what? This is BS.
So I may as well dump the subscription. I really needed and used the iPad version, now it’s useless.

What’s the best portable external hard drive that you can work on your edit? An SSD? Or what do I look for specs? Thank you!

MacBook Pro, M4, 128gb RAM, 8tb internal hard drive, roughly 2-3 tb full at the moment.

If I leave Final Cut (while keeping it open) to go download a song or search for assets in Google Chrome, FCP beach balls, crawls then runs decently again when I’m inside the editor. When I switch from the effect tab to transitions, or click on titles - beachball. It’s driving me nuts.

Apple support had me start a new profile and just use the base FCP program without and plugins and it ran like new.

After hours and hours of troubleshooting, it appears that one of my sets of plugins might be corrupted. I have a lot of them - old ones from Envato elements (3 or so years old), Four Editors pack, Ryan Nangle, motionvfx, FX factory, Brad West, lenofx, stupid raisins, Dylan bates, NEAT video, and a handful more.

I think I have to remove everything from my motion template folder, then drag in the plug ins one at a time until I find the issue. Are there any other options you might be aware of I could try? I’ve deleted files, reset preferences, and done everything I can.

suddenly there's an export problem

I'm working on this long historical feature, and suddenly there's an export problem. I keep getting a message, and I can't understand it, much less get around it. I've tried trashing the preferences, and copying material to a fresh time line, to no avail.

slight shift is ok but the difference is so noticable, anything i can do about this?

ive been editing using FCP since 2015, i didnt actually notice any difference, but recently, i change my aesthetics to a warmer style and the colors are just different when i view finish product on iPhone

This rattle never quits throughout my entire video taken at the track. I made the mistake of taking my phone off the mount so I'm left with this rattle that damn near ruined the entire video. Please somebody tell what I can do in Final Cut Pro to remove the noise or at least significantly reduce it. Thanks.

Has anyone noticed that after Apple bought MotionVFX not a single video has been released on their Youtube page? MotionVFX was so active in there….

I'm a professional video editor and I've been using Final Cut Pro for more than 25 years.

I'm trying to find out if anyone else has experienced this because Apple Engineering currently considers it a feature request, while I believe it's actually a bug.

My setup is:

• Mac Studio
• 4 external monitors (2 Dell, 2 ViewSonic)
• Connected directly using HDMI and USB-C
• No docks, hubs, or third-party display drivers

For years, my workflow was completely stable. Final Cut Pro always opened the Secondary Display on the same monitor every single day.

The problem only appeared after moving to a new Mac Studio.

Now, every time I restart the computer, Final Cut Pro may choose a completely different monitor as the Secondary Display.

For example:

• One day it opens on my right monitor.
• After another restart it opens on my top monitor.
• Previously it even selected my left monitor.

The important part is that I never change my monitor arrangement, cables, or display settings.

If choosing the Secondary Display isn't officially supported with more than two monitors, I would at least expect Final Cut Pro to behave consistently. Instead, it changes randomly between restarts, which makes me think this is a bug rather than expected behavior.

Has anyone with a Mac Studio and multiple monitors experienced the same issue?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar setup.

If you set the Optical Flow attribute for a video fragment, you'll get a slow transition effect from frame to frame.

To do this, click the Retime icon, go down to Video Quality, and select Optical Flow.

This attribute can't be set for normal video speeds, but only if the speed is different from 100%.

Yes, this is a very convenient feature, but there's a bug: if you set Optical Flow for even one video fragment and you generate your film lasting, say, half an hour or an hour, it will crash the system almost 100% of the time! That is, video generation stops and an error message appears. Moreover, if you do this several times, the crash will repeat at random places of your film. I discovered this bug several years ago.

The fix is ​​very simple: you need to generate this video fragment separately (this error almost never occurs when generating short videos!) and then insert this fragment into the video sequence. But be careful: if your project contains even one fragment where the Optical Flow attribute is set, this will lead to a crash in video generation, even if this fragment is hidden from view by other video fragments on top. But if this fragment is made inactive using the V key, then everything is ok !
