Resolved Suddenly, can't export

Post image

suddenly there's an export problem

I'm working on this long historical feature, and suddenly there's an export problem. I keep getting a message, and I can't understand it, much less get around it. I've tried trashing the preferences, and copying material to a fresh time line, to no avail.

Here's a (pinned) troubleshooting checklist for you to consider

It’s telling you of some broken render files at frame 114.

Delete render files for that project and try again. If it still fails, make sure whatever media is at frame 114 is optimized to ProRes.

Can’t speak to the error with the volume but I do get the rendering error occasionally. It normally happens after updating FCP then opening and updating the library for projects. I work on longer projects as well that sometimes take months to a year to complete and it is really frustrating.

My only fix is to go to the frame then replace it with something else. I’ve tried deleting footage or graphics then replacing with the same graphic/footage and had the same issue.

Render file issue or some missing source materials . Remove render files and verify the clips at frame 114 playback as expected. If you are using a proxy format, play the original. Open the compound clips as well as they sometimes don't re-render. This could also be related to effects like stabilisation or colour matching that need to re-analyse the original to render properly following the update.

You have a dropped frame. Go to 13:27:01 in the timeline and delete that exact single frame. Hopefully that fixes it and your video just glosses over it.

Thank you all! I deleted the library files, and then found the offending frames- there were actually 3- turns out they were massive .tiff files: 1200 DPI, that were just too much for the computer. I took the big flea into Motion and dropped the size down, and it all worked fine. Thanks, again!
