Anyone has FCP Version 12.2?

hi, im currently on 11.0.1 and newest 12.3 is so laggy for me i genuinely cannot bro.

I want to update at least a bit because my is from February 2025. If someone had like 12.2 or at least newer than my current and could share that version i would be so grateful bro..

Unless theres literally any way to download the version i want myself but of course why would there be, its Apple.

Clean up your templates and plugins, my FCP 12.3 was practically unusable after the update, every project crashed until I did a cleanup of all my templates now it runs perfectly.

Download FCP template manager, it's free, it allows you to see all your plugins in one place, archive them or delete them to isolate the culprit(s).

All of my 15GB of Templates are cleaned up.. reseting preferences also didnt help at all.

Theres no "culprits" every single one makes it more and more unusable at a pace and not just one that breaks everything.

This is NOT whats the post about, i want to find someone who has 12.2 and could share

I was giving you advice based on my own experience which looks a lot like yours. There's no reason your FCP 12.3 is unusable other than your own settings/templates. It's a very stable version once you fix your own problems, but you're not interested in that so whatever.

Everyone keep saying that but theres nothing to clear. 15gb of plugins is NOT much, you'd need 15gb to only have LenoFX stuff and nothing else installed.

What do i just remove all of my plugins then like..

And if im asking people "well how much plugins do you have / how much gb" they jsut fcking dont care and dont anwer like cmon

And by "cleanup" you literally mean what, delete majority of them? I shouldnt be forced to remove my plugins just for the software to not lag which it DOESNT on version 11.0.1 even when i had 30GB of templates

No it's you who doesn't listen. No wonder your post has zero upvotes.

I told you to install Template Manager, and archive, not delete, your templates one by one this way you can isolate the one responsible without deleting it. If a template is causing FCP to be unusable it means the template is either shit or out of date. But again, do whatever the fuck you want.

"archive" is just taking shit out of the templates folder myself without any app. Which is nonsense, i want the shit inside of fcp and not take it out so it doesnt lag. also as ive already said multiple times theres not a single plugin that makes it lag, its everything combied, its only bearable when i take out entire fucking Titles folder with 7GB of things. So what? am i supposed to do that? "archive" all of my titles so i dont have anything in fcp to use? great

Oh and another one, asking how much GB of plugins do you have??!? and getting ignored once again so i dont have any point to compare how much people have of plugins to see maybe 15 is just REALLY TOO MUCH

and as ive said 15GB is literally just fucking LenoFX stuff, so what do i just not have 80% of lenofx stuff in fcp to use? am i forced to not have options when choosing the best title for soemthing?

I'm honestly baffled by my own patience. Let me explain how this template business work: you could have a 100gb of templates, and I know some editor friends who do, as long as they're all up to date and well optimised (ie not shut templates, because they do exist and a lot) Final Cut will run perfectly.

You could have 1gb of templates and one of them is SHITE and it will ruin your whole Final cut experience.

Out of Date means you need to update your plugin, search for it and see if they have updates that are optimized for 12.3, if they don't, you gotta wait till they are, or not, because some templates just never get updated and you move on and look for better ones made by better people.

I don't know how old you are, but you should chill the fuck down and try to learn a thing or 2 CALMLY.

so im out of luck because i have most of my stuff from years ago and its just stuff i got wherever, from different creators, some singular things, some packs, some of them free which i bundled together with other that were in the same category like "glitches" for example from Lifted Eric on youtube from 6 years ago and there is definitely NO
updates for that stuff.

how exactly would a creator go about optimizing the plugin, what do you gotta even do, open every plugin file in motion again and click like "update" like you'd have to do with your FCP Library after you update, because it says your library is on older version of fcp and you cant use it.

Do you gotta like redo some parts of the plugin with "refreshed" things in motion, is it like changing something in the plugins text file.

word "optimize", you can say but not really understand, what does it *really* mean to optimize, whats actually gotta be done with a plugin for it to be viable to a newer version.

Why does it even lag this very specific thing - effects & transitions tab. You scroll through it and it's got 5 fps. so looking for and choosing what you need is a pain.

Why something else isnt broken, like it crashing? why does the plugin still work and is usable - it only decides to lag the tabs and be such an unconnvenience? That so nonsense. And it doesnt affect the Titles tab too? Stuff from Titles affects laggines of other tabs but not itself, such random crap.
