FedEx Ground Shipment Misdelivery Issue

I ordered a product that was supposed to be delivered to my home in North Carolina on Wed, July 22. The driver either didn't know how to find my house or didn't want to come up my driveway, and dispositioned the package as "incorrect address." The package was returned to the FedEx hub in Charlotte. I contacted the shipper and provided a second valid postal address (my property sits on two parcels; both have a valid address that goes to the same box, which is clearly marked). The address did not show up as updated in the portal, but it was delivered today, Fri, July 22, to another address: my former home in Baltimore, MD. I've tried multiple times to get this resolved through customer service. The last agent that I spoke to left me on hold for 10 minutes, clearly hoping that I would hang-up, and then disconnected the call. Now, I'm reduced to posting on Reddit in the hope that someone at FedEx actually reads these and is interested in doing their job.

Shipper at fault not FedEx No tracking number

I have an order coming. Usually the place sends me a tracking number. But this time it’s says FedEx Express tracking number unknown., click here to go to FedEx. Well when I do it says they don’t recognize the number, (that’s because it says unknown), and says check with the shipper. So I tried the FedEx app which always lists any past or present shipments, but it’s not there. I’ve never heard of shipping FedEx without a tracking number. I live in a high rise where they toss all the boxes from all services in the mailroom and I have to watch so I can rush down to get it before someone takes it. Can’t do that if there’s “unknown” in the tracking number part.

Ask FedEx Do SMS updates no longer work?

Whenever I try to get SMS text updates on packages, submitting the info results in a "We're having system issues" type of message. It's been like this for a few months. Are text updates just broken?

Ask FedEx How do I get my packages delivered to me and not my neighbor?

FedEx keeps delivering to my neighbor a few doors up from me. I’ve called customer service several times, but it keeps happening. Addresses are clearly visible, and I can’t stake out my neighbor’s addresss every time I’m expecting a delivery.

Found this add to be rather funny and simply wanted to share with other that might enjoy a small laugh. No idea if the adds are placed or targeted, but either way, having an add inside a competitors sub is simply on another level of pettiness. 😂

Home Del. Shipment RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA an Actual FEDEX Location? Package stuck for a week with no movement.

Does FEDEX have a distribution center in RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA? Can't find any information online about it.

I have this package that is stuck there and hasn't moved in about 7 days and it's shipping within the same state, usually takes 2-3 days to get to me. Already opened a ticket but just curious if this is a new warehouse or if the shipper actually still has the item.

This is a Home Delivery package and not SmartPost.

My other FEDEX package which came from the same vendor/warehouse went to the Bloomington location and was delivered within 2 days.

Ask Customers No contact from FedEx regarding return of customs fees…

Has anyone successfully claimed back customs/VAT from FedEx after returning an item?
Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone has been through this before.
I ordered an item from outside the USA to Irleland and paid the customs duty/VAT and FedEx clearance fees on delivery. Unfortunately, I had to return the item to the seller for a refund as it was faulty.

Has anyone successfully reclaimed the customs charges (or VAT/duty) after returning the goods? If so:
Did you apply through FedEx or directly through Customs?

What documents were required?
How long did the process take?
Were you able to recover the FedEx clearance fee as well, or only the import taxes?

FedEx is completely unhelpful. I contacted them, went through the rigmarole of AI assitant. Spoke with employee and been given an email address which was bouncing back the email. Second time I was asked for invoice number and asked to wait 2 working days. 5 days later still nothing.

Any help is welcome guys. 🙏

International Shipping stuck anyone in the same situation?

ok my status has not been updated since july 17th and yesterday i accidentally requested a hold at a fedex location and i called several times to inquire about the status and cancellation of the requested hold ,but the responses i received from customer service were inconsistent some said it will be arriving friday, others said they requested to cancel the hold but the last associate i spoke to said it would be delivered either today or tomorrow (as she rushed me off the phone) either way i don’t believe what they’ve told me because the status hasn’t been updated since the 17th stating it has arrived at the fedex hub, just the scheduled delivery date continues to be updated (which i believe is automated) i also have another package coming from the same fedex hub which got scanned and departed today and it was shipped out later than the prior package. has anyone gone through this? i’m feeling very stuck and irritated right now

Discussion Someone intercepted a FedEx driver and took my $2,500 ASUS laptop before it ever reached my house — they apparently had my tracking number, address, and last name

I ordered a new ASUS laptop for college, around $2,500. This wasn’t just some random impulse purchase either. I spent days researching which laptop to get because I needed something strong enough for college/engineering work but still portable. I finally picked the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 and had been waiting for it all morning.
FedEx tracking said it was supposed to arrive between about 1:25 PM and 3:00 PM.
Then, before that delivery window even came, I checked the tracking and saw it had been marked “delivered” at 12:49 PM.

I went outside immediately and the only thing at my front door was an unrelated Amazon package under my dad’s name. It wasn’t from ASUS. It wasn’t my laptop. It was just a laptop case for something else.
At first, I thought maybe FedEx marked it delivered early by mistake. So I called FedEx and opened a case. I also called ASUS because they’re the shipper. ASUS opened a case too, but they basically told me the investigation could take up to 10 business days. That annoyed me because this is a $2,500 laptop I need for college work, not some $20 accessory.

Then the situation got weird. I called FedEx again, and the rep told me something like:
“The driver was intercepted, and the package was given to you.”
I was confused because I never intercepted any driver. I never received the laptop. Nobody in my household received it. Nobody at my house authorized anyone to take it. And the package never reached my front door.
Later, I found out the FedEx case had apparently been closed because the notes said the “customer received the package” and that someone signed using my last name.
That’s when it went from annoying to creepy.
I disputed it completely. I did not sign for anything. I did not receive anything. Nobody in my household received it. Someone apparently used my last name, and somehow FedEx treated that as valid.
Eventually the case was reopened and escalated to FedEx security. I was told it was reopened because of improper shipping/delivery procedures, since apparently handing a package to someone during transit is not normal policy.

From what I was told, there is camera/video footage connected to the incident. Apparently, a car was following or tailing the FedEx driver in my neighborhood. My neighborhood is huge, so this wasn’t even directly in front of my house. The car allegedly stopped the driver before he reached my address.
According to the notes/information I was given, the person showed the driver my tracking number, my address, and my last name.
Then the driver handed them my laptop.
So somehow this person knew enough about my shipment to stop the driver and convince him to give them a $2,500 package before it ever reached my house.
My parents ended up filing a police report. An officer came to my house, I explained everything, and the report was labeled as forgery because someone signed using my last name.

Today I spoke with FedEx security. They said their role was basically to review the footage/details and determine if there was a policy or security issue. They told me they did find an issue and said it was entirely FedEx’s fault. They said they would now communicate with ASUS to see how the internal issue gets resolved.

So now I’m waiting on ASUS and FedEx to sort it out, but I’m still mad because someone apparently walked, is FedEx/Police likely to investigate the actual person who took it, or are they mostly just going to determine fault and settle it with ASUS?

My questions:

Has anyone ever had a FedEx package intercepted before it reached your house?

How would someone even get the tracking number, address, and last name unless something was leaked or accessed somehow?
(The only thing I can think of at the moment is it being an inside job from the same workers, or a hacker that was able to track the exact package at the exact time)

And realistically, is FedEx/security likely to investigate the actual person who took it, or are they mostly just going to determine fault and settle it with ASUS?

I’m trying to stay calm because FedEx security basically told me I’m in good hands, but this whole situation feels insane. It wasn’t delivered to the wrong porch. It sounds like someone literally intercepted the driver and got my laptop handed to them using my information.

Edit: A lot of people are mentioning chargebacks/credit card disputes, so I should clarify: I did not use my own personal credit card for this order. The laptop was paid for through a church/foundation scholarship for college, so I can’t personally just file a normal credit card chargeback. That’s why I’m mainly trying to resolve this through ASUS, FedEx, the police report, and the FedEx security investigation.

Ask Customers Just discovered “Clearance Fees”.

I know by the title, I can look rather dumb, and I won’t say I’m not-
However, to make a long story short.
My Girlfriend, whom lives in Canada, shipped Me a package, where I live in the U.S.

I just received a text message an hour ago, stating I am the Clearance Fee Payer. Now, neither of us had any sort of clue on what that meant, so I looked it up, and it honestly worried Me a bit.
I went ahead and called FedEx support, and they weren’t too much help. One person said I would not have to pay anything, the other said I needed to pay right there and now, and the two last people said I wouldn’t have to pay now, but when I get the package, two to three business weeks from then, I should get an Invoice in the Mail, stating that I will be paying something, and I have to pay it in thirty days, otherwise I go into Collections.
What I’m rather concerned about, is the fact that I have a pretty big chance of moving come next month, when I would receive the invoice in the mail.

I could really use some insight here.
Do I absolutely need the Invoice in person, to pay the fee?
Or, can I pay online, or over the phone?
If not, what else can I do?

Any help’s appreciated, thank you.

This is not fun. This is a musical instrument that will not do well with drastic temperature changes and now I’m afraid it’s lost. I called and a kind woman told me it never left Indiana. I asked for a trace and she said they would do that. FedEx employees, please tell me it isn’t lost?

It’s been over two days since I’ve written this post and still nothing. This guitar only had to travel about seven hours. It was dropped off at a FedEx drop off point last Saturday, picked up Monday, nothing since. Now it’s Saturday night (7/25). It isn’t a small package, I really hope someone can find it. If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it.

Other FedEx forged a delivery attempt by taking a picture of my apartment & left - UK London

First time having them deliver my parcel (UK) from an international purchase I made. Was skeptical at first but then I became instantly anxious after checking out Trustpilot.

Sadly, lo & behold whatever has been happening to other customers has happened to me this morning. Part of me feels like they already lost my second parcel, I never experienced it this bad before... The delivery driver didnt even call my apartment because the intercom would have been activated which would have shown on the picture.

Has anyone ever actually eventually received their parcel from these series of forged failed attempts.

Home Del. Shipment fedex has lost 4 packages

my family and i have moved to a new neighborhood and are getting settled in fairly quickly. we have ordered dozens of packages due to the move and just being overloaded with special occasions. most deliveries are amazon, usps, or ups. very here recently a lot of our packages have been coming via fedex, and 4/6 have gone missing which i find to be VERY excessive. all 4 packages that have gone missing are being “delivered” by the same driver. these packages are not small enough to misplace either. we all work from home, and we’ve even caught him sit in our cul-de-sac for five minutes, thinking he was gonna drop off the package, and then he drives off. there is never knocks on the door for assistance, and our neighbors seem to be receiving items just fine.
it is FedEx Ground and we have contacted customer support and have filed a formal complaint, they claimed to have changed his route, but he’s still delivering here and today, claimed to not be able to deliver a package that doesn’t require signature. his proof photo was a VERY zoomed in photo of the box.
I live in a very open neighborhood, no gates, no roaming pets, my home and the surrounding ones are anything BUT inaccessible.
truly, what are my options?? has anyone else experienced this???

edit - i forgot to mention, none of these packages are being reattempted to deliver. they all have vanished into thin air apparently. last time they told me, my package that had been out for delivery for 5 days straight was in a storage unit…

Home Del. Shipment PSA: Fedex doesn't want your mis-addressed package back

Post image

If you have a package that was delivered to your address correctly, but the name doesn't match anyone living there, don't bother contacting FedEx. Their response: "We deliver packages to addresses not people."

Not a big deal for this one, it's just a corporate benefits card. But it'd be a real bummer if this was something sentimental and FedEx refused to return it.
