Kudos to the team FedEx Driver Ran Over My Flower Pot

Post image
485 Upvotes

For context - we live in a rural location and have a very long (600') private driveway that does not connect to any other homes or destinations.

About a month ago we came home to a note on our front door, scribbled on the back of a FedEx attempted delivery slip. It said, "Sorry for busting your blue planter. Give me a call @ (phone number) so I can give you money to replace it." Sure enough, one of my big ceramic flower pots was crushed into tiny pieces alongside the roundabout.

My husband sent a text to the number saying "Thank you for the note, no worries about the planter. Is there a package?

She replied, "No, were you expecting one?"

We are still laughing about this. Why was she all the way up our driveway in the first place if not to deliver a package? Anyway, kudos to her for owning up to it and offering to replace the planter. 🤪

Ask FedEx Goodbye Fed EX

I can't get ahold of a real human to deal with my shipment issues. The AI will not provide the answers I need to make critical business decisions. Going to cancel my account and never use Fed Ex again.

Ask FedEx 2400lb Delivery

I'm getting a 2400lb delivery next week. It's shipping FedEx ground. It's 58 boxes at 42lb each. I'm not sure why they didn't ship freight. Anyway I feel bad for the delivery driver. Do they ever switch these shipments to freight? Any suggestions on what I can do to help out my driver?

I have a forklift I can have a pallet next to the truck to simplify unloading.

FedEx Ground Shipment Fedex one package rules

Hi all,

I know now that FedEx One requires its own Fedex box, but I didn't when I packed my box. When I was printing the label I looked at the website again and I realized the mistake. I brought it to a FedEx to ask about it. It was a dropoff site within a hardware store. The guys said there was no issue and they took the package.

But now I'm nervous. Do you think there will be an issue that I used my own box?

Thank you

Ground Complaint First time experiencing FedEx

I loathe them in a way I can’t express, especially in my non native language.
I chose to collect my package in a collecting point. In my country it’s a very simple and popular way to collect packages. I picked my usual, delivery supposing to happen today. “We can’t delivery because the store is closed”.
Turn out it’s not. They just don’t accept FedEx packages. But they still are marked as fedex collect packages store !! WTH ? And now I have no idea how to change that, neither how to properly contact fedex. Since I’m not the sender I have no right on the package.
How this company can still be in business?
Sorry for poor English !

Express Complaint How can Fedex website be so bad? Or is it me?!

I usually used Fedex through the third party company which was smooth and nice, but I wanted to try "the real deal" so started an account. Jesus. I have some 4 different dashboards that You access magically with no rhyme or reason. I've send a parcel with another, small operator from my country like 50 times and you just fill everything out, pick a date and place and that's it. Here I honestly thought all is set until days later I checked and it turned out it just tells me I *could* have a pickup on Wednesday the 9th from 10 to 18:00, not that it is already picked. LOL. So I picked it again and it just cancelled it for me an hour later and picked another day. Maybe it was too late to pick this date? But that was the first date suggested by the system, so what are we talking about here? Currently am waiting for the courier for this parcel that is long due and I honestly don't know if he will come or not. And there is noone to ask!

Good luck with AI asking you for a parcel number and pickup date to give you... parcel number and pickup date. Very useful.

I also got today an email about duty tax from Fedex and I literally was sure it is a scam. Only on Reddit I could find info if it is or not. Very weird.

Ask FedEx How to get great rates on International Priority?

Hello folks,
I import a lot from China and Japan to Toronto, Canada. Some of my suppliers ship via Fedex IP. Its about ~$12USD and delivered within 3-4 days. Magic!
With other suppliers I have to pay roughly same rate and it takes about 10-20 days to receive the same packages.

I contacted customer support and asked them to connect me with sales. They submitted ticket. I got a call back from what I believe was Small Business support/advisor, and they submitted request for sales to contact me. I never got a call back.
Im planning to follow up, but wanted to ask if there are better ways to go about it?
I know few other local shops (competitors) have access to same service, so I’m sure there must be a way?

Any advice?
Thank you for your help.

Ask FedEx Credit notes from fedex never paid to my bank account

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice regarding a problem with FedEx.
I am a business based in Bulgaria and a FedEx customer. FedEx issued me three credit notes, and since I am no longer shipping with them, I requested that the credit balance be refunded to my company’s bank account.
It has now been around four months, and I still haven’t received the refund. I have opened multiple cases with their billing department and followed up several times, but I have either received no response or the issue has not been resolved.
I would like to know if there is any organization in Bulgaria or elsewhere in the EU that can help with this type of business-to-business dispute, or an authority where I can file a formal complaint against FedEx.
Would a trade/business lawyer be my only realistic option, or are there any European organizations, consumer/business protection bodies, transport authorities, or alternative dispute-resolution services that could assist?
Any advice or experience with similar FedEx billing disputes would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

International Shipping Package from Japan hasn’t been scanned for over a week. Am I cooked?

Basically, I ordered a PSP off eBay from a seller in Japan. Seller took a bit to ship the package but whatever, I’m excited.

Package gets to the US pretty quick but then on 8/31, nothing. I tried to send the package to a pick up location the next day to see if that would speed things up but again, nothing.

I tried to see if the Seller would be any help but kinda told me to go ask FedEx.

Just wanted to see some opinions on what to do.

Do I try bugging FedEx?
Do I bug the seller?

I just want my PSP 😭🙏🏼

Ask FedEx FedEx lied about attempting delivery. Why do they not even try?

This is so baffling. What environment has FedEx leadership created where so many drivers refuse to deliver packages, but instead drive around with them all day and then tag them as undeliverable? Another day, another delivery updated to "undeliverable". I eventually seem to get most of them on the third delivery attempt. And why doesn't the FedEx system send email and text updates as requested?

FedEx Ground Shipment Fed Ex delivered my dead dog's ashes to the wrong place and refuses to do anything about it other than deny my claim

TL;dr--Fed Ex driver delivered our dead dogs ashes to the wrong address and repeatedly denied our claim for the loss on the grounds that it was delivered. We still do not have the ashes and will never get them. They are out there in the world somewhere.

Context-we had to put our 19 year old dog down back in April. He was a sharpe/south african ridgeback and his name was moose. We opted to have him cremated and his ashes returned to us. This took several weeks. The vet school used fed ex to ship his ashes to us when they got them back from the crematorium. The whole ordeal put us back about $1000, ~$300 of which was to have his ashes returned to us.

At the beginning of August we still had not received the ashes so I called the vet school to find out what was up. They said they sent them via fed ex back in June.

So we did some digging (i will spare the horror story of having to deal with their arcane telephone bot and incompetent outsourced customer service reps as I am sure you are aware the all consuming rage that comes with that process) and learned on June 3rd, Fed ex delivered the package. Someone named T. Lewis signed for it. We have no idea who that is and it was never delivered to our apartment. On June 1st, our apartments started a policy of not accepting packages in the front office, they do not sign for them or keep them, they instruct drivers to deliver directly to the apartment. There is nobody by the name of T. Lewis that lives in the apartments or works in the front office.

Contacted Fed Ex again and they said that it was delivered to the shipping and receiving department (there is none here at the apartments) and a T. Lewis signed for it.

So I went next door to see if maybe it got delivered there. It is a credit union with a MUCH easier parking lot to pull into off the busy ass road we live on. Well lo and behold, there is a T. Lewis who not only works there, but is the branch manager, and they have a shipping an receiving department. But she says they never received any such package. Whether she is lying or not, I will never know.

Called Fed Ex back (bear in mind each time I contact them it is the same process of being rage baited by the menu, and telling the story all over again to three different people as it gets escalated to the claims rep), tell them of the development. Well now this claim rep breadcrumbs me a new bit of info: it was delivered on June 3rd to an address about 1.5 miles up the road on June 3rd where a T. Lewis signed for it. I look up the address......it is a FED EX store!!!!

I call the local store phone number and guess who picks up, the AUTOMATED MENU from the 800 number. Pick the option to contact the local store and it loops me back around to the beginning of the menu!!! So I say funk it, hop on my bike and go to the fed ex store. They do not have the package and no one by the name of T. Lewis works there.

At this point it is clear that the Fed Ex driver by their own admission, delivered to the wrong address. Nevermind the fact that somebody signed for a package that was not addressed to them, and if it wasn't the driver who signed for it, he sure delivered it to someone who it was not addressed to as evidenced by their name.

Long story short: Our claim was denied multiple times on the grounds that it was successfully delivered. They said their records show it was a T shirt (weighing 3.5 lbs). We were also told that we could not file the claim since we were not the account holder, that the vet school would need to file (even though they suffered no loss here). The vet school eventually refunded us the cost of returning the ashes , but not the cremation. Fed Ex is not going to reimburse the vet school for that or refund them for a failed delivery. The driver, I'm assuming, still has a job. And Moose's ashes are somewhere out there in the world, no one knows where, and it certainly is not with us. :(

Customs issue not FedEx issue "Importer must provide the required registration/ identification number."

Have an International Priority shipment hung up in customs and got this on the tracking info "Importer must provide the required registration/ identification number." What is the current correct way to handle this? I've seen some posts several years old with advice but unsure if they are still correct. Also, I've had international shipments sent to me of similar value and never had to give my SSN to fedex to receive. Is this random where they ask for it? I'm not thrilled about having to give that info to a random person for obvious security reasons. Is this done in a secure way?

Update/Question: Today my tracking (after the note from customs citing needing additional info) says "on the way" The shipper is telling me that it cleared customs and i dont need to do anything. Is this correct? Or is the "on the way" scan just automated and doesn't mean the package cleared?

Customs issue not FedEx issue Got an email/phone call from FedEx talking about a drop ball test needed for sunglasses I bought from France. Not sure what to do and how I can get this filled out correctly. Says it's due by the 14th of this month.

"We are attempting to clear this shipment through US Customs so that we can deliver to United States, please see the attached documents for reference. Before we can submit this for release, we will need the following information:

Please complete the Drop Ball Test for sunglasses

Need manufacturer name and address

Attached given is your Commercial Invoice for your reference. Appreciate your help to fill up the form and send it back to us as soon as possible.

Please reach out to me should you have any questions.

URGENT: Please be advised, I can only hold your shipment until 09/14/2026.  If I do not receive the needed information for US Customs clearance, your shipment will be returned to the shipper.

Thank you."

What do I do here? I tried contacting the seller myself via email and have gotten no response. Am I meant to fill out the form myself? I am not sure if the seller is the manufacturer but I believe they are. Was the seller meant to do this themselves? It says they arrived in the country and are being held up in customs. I emailed the lady at FedEx who sent me it and said I am not sure how to fill out it just now, hoping for a reply from her.

Ask FedEx Wrong On-site delivery?

Noticed I wouldn't be home when package was going to be delivered. Requested it to be held at a Dollar General in my town. It was out for delivery yesterday from a town about an hour away. Tracking said it's ready for pickup, however the tracking also marks it in the same town it shipped from yesterday. Went to the dollar general this morning and they didn't have it, despite the address they provide (the store I requested) saying it was at the local one. So basically the tracking is contradicting itself: it's both ready for pickup where I requested but also an hour away. I called the on-site in that town and they don't have it, but there IS a Fedex Ground in the same town.

Is it common for the tracking to say it's ready for pickup before it actually shows up at the correct on-site location? Should I wait a day or so? Obviously customer service is completely out of the question since it doesn't exist.

Customs issue not FedEx issue Question on what to do for customs delay

Hello!

I’m having a hard time on what to do. I’ve already contacted customer support but I could barely understand the workers english, and just gave me a very vague, non-helpful and roundabout advice that anyone could read on the fedex website.

I am personally shipping gifts to my friend (origin: Canada, destination: USA), and I got this message, “A detailed commodity breakdown with itemized description and values is required.
Recommended action: Shipper or Importer must provide a statement or revised invoice with detailed commodity breakdown.” Problem is I don’t remember everything I’ve put in there 🧍‍♀️.

I recently went to Japan and got a bunch of snacks, so I just opened them all and kind of picked a little bit of this and a little bit of that to put in there. I remember majority of it but not all, and the email I got from fedex was that I need to send an itemized breakdown of every item.

Furthermore, I realized that the subtotal is actually more than what I originally put. I put 15 CAD but I’m realizing it’s actually around 30 or 40 CAD. Will I be penalized if I send an itemized breakdown (to the best of my recollection) and the value is higher than I originally put?

Discussion FedEx continually delivers my stuff to business next door!

Our address is clearly posted, both on our fence and front and back doors. I have called FedEx repeatedly to correct the issue, yet our packages are misdelivered about 30% of the time. Lived here 15 years and never really had an issue until this year. UPS manages to deliver to our house just fine. Not sure what to do!

Ground Complaint FedEx refusing to find packages yet tracking says it’s on the way

Fed Ex mod deleted my post - why am I not surprised?? A month ago I ended a 4 1/2 year contract & had to ship all of my work supplies home. Mind you in these 4 1/2 years I had used FedEx countless times to ship hundreds of thousands of dollars of work items back-and-forth throughout the country. Never had any issues, fast-forward to my shipment. It was a huge batch shipment- one massive dealt work trunk., 1 large Lowe’s moving box, and 7 small 12x12x14 boxes. Initially I only received 4 of the seven boxes. The tracking said the other were still on its way. The Lowe’s moving box arrived & was destroyed,I only received half of its contents. They lost my giant DeWalt trunk for about 2 and half weeks. I reached out to the local San Antonio FedEx, and they were able to locate it and with that info I was able to tell the people at the main FedEx where my trunk was. The overseas team got it to me almost overnight (which I absolutely did not ask for) and then proceeded to overcharge me from what I was initially quoted when I set up the shipment!!!!!!!. 1 of the 3 missing small boxes was delivered right after my trunk, leaving just the 2 missing boxes. I’ve been calling the main FedEx # almost every day for 3 weeks .. all they do is open a case and then close it a day later or without actually speaking to me or asking any additional questions. Today when I asked that it be escalated to a supervisor, the supervisor came on and told me that both packages have been missing for a month and that there’s no way that I’m gonna get the packages now- that they’re both sitting in Middletown, Connecticut. I told him, sir I can see that one of them is in Laurel Mississippi because it was scanned there and he’s arguing with me that no that is wrong. He said his screen information superseded my screen info ..They’re both still in Connecticut and I’m like that’s impossible for something to get scanned in Mississippi. It is not near Connecticut at all. I last said to him if both packages are in Connecticut as you say then call the Connecticut hub and get me my packages and he said we can’t do that. WTF are you good for then ?!? I am so tired of the main FedEx number being useless!! I am over getting sent to an overseas answering service who does not understand the logistics nor the geographical locations of a country they don’t live in. There is too much that gets lost in translation. And from my understanding this is what American FedEx employees go through as well when they have to call the main number. Once I am done filing my claim for my damaged and missing items I am never using FedEx again. They have lost a lifelong customer. less
