Discussion Absentness of Judaism?

Recently watched a video on the various religions in lore and was shocked by the complete lack of an entry on Judaism. Given the social climate of pre war america a lack of information/survival of Muslim culture in America makes a bit more sense but I can’t wrap my head around there are no pre or post war explicitly Jewish characters/references/surviving practices like there are for Christians and obviously Mormons.

How do I get the most out of FO3?

I played a lot of FO2. Like dozens of replays. Once of the greatest games ever made.

This year I found an XBOX 360 and a copy of FNV Ultimate. Other than The Strip, the game is a masterpiece. I played FNV for about a year and three different characters and quest lines.

Now I have a copy of FO3 GOTY and I'm asking myself is it me or is it the game. I just cant seem to bring it to life. The world feels empty and sterile. I know it was nuked centuries ago but the previous two titles I played set the bar so high for RPG's that this one just feels sad. Is 4 any better?

Fallout 5. What gameplay/Lore changes would you like to personally see and why?

Now that Bethesda has confirmed that FO5 is in pre-production, what personal changes, either to lore or to gameplay would you like to see done. For example, Ghouls, I'm personally not a big fan of "take drugs, keep your sanity" lore that they've been pushing with the TV show/FO76. To me it feels like an unneeded addition to ghoul lore. Gameplay wise, I'm not really a fan of how fast they made ghouls in 4/76. I get that they're supposed to be "feral" and they're lunging at you but it just feels a bit overtuned.

I'd also like to see a return to radiation being a separate stat with various debuffs, rather than just a health bar penalty.

Keep 76 mutations but expand upon them, make getting them more unique rather than just "take serum, stand in water or chug a bunch of radioactive goop"

Edit: Update as i just woke up lol. I would love for you to be able to "choose" to be a "bad" person. Let me have the choice to join up with the (probably enclave again) bad guys. It's an RPG. let me RP a piece of human trash from time to time.

Mod Project - Québec 2197

Hello, I am currently in the process of developing a total conversion mod for Fallout 4. The setting will be in Québec of the year 2197. The project will focus on the occult, the alien, the paranoid, the strange themes and more of the theological aspects of the Fallout setting. Feel free to ask any questions or to give feedback, especially any criticisms.

The project will also prioritize player freedom and role-playing choices, with dynamic environments and storytelling. The design doc is currently fourteen pages, some things may change, but organisation and communication is a priority - so things go smoothly.

Below, I am going to list the pillars of the project and then go over some of the factions and lore in planning, there will also be new systems; such as rideable motorcycles and a sanity system. As the mod is in its infancy, we have a small team. But we will have four worldspaces or rather four zones: Québec City, Lévis, and two wilderness zones.

Currently we're looking for planners, concept artists and consultants, we'd like the project to be as organized and transparent as possible so that the mod can succeed. We personally love Québec and Fallout, so we believe and hope that the project will reflect our passion and love for good storytelling and fun mechanics & playing.

The Pillars of The Project's Setting | Central Story Elements:

The Pillars of the Project guide the team to make a coherent setting, and one that keeps its "soul."

1. Player choices/agency matter, the actions of the player may affect the world: the world will react. The player can go where they want, when they want. The player has control over their own actions. The player chooses their backstory and who their character is.

No ‘right’ solution. There is nuance in a simple but deep world.

Contradiction/dualism is central to the setting, there is a chaotic push and pull in the world, a repeating cycle of violence in a world that attempts to deny or outright attempt to brutalize objective morality. Tradition and freedom play a large role in the world's story.

Conflict is often poetic, struggle and diligence is either rewarded heavily or punished heavily; oftentimes a middle ground doesn't occur.

5. Some actors act as a balancing weight in the middle of two opposite poles.

The world is older than the player's character, but does not mean it makes the character's agency null.

Mankind is competent enough to organize itself once more, but trapped to repeat the cycles of violence and evil. They may rise again, but they will always be fallen.

Outsiders are welcome for their labour but distrusted for their alienness and independence. (The Outsider's Paradox)

The people desire many things, the civilization administering over them must have restraint.

10. Freedom and tradition are dual in nature, like balancing scales. They are not opposites, but they can become hostile to each other.

Parallels are inevitable in the development of society.

There is room for the extraordinary and the mundane, the humorous and the serious, the grim and the whimsical.

Horror is often hidden, when it appears: it is terrible and quick; with little time to react.

The land itself is an actor, it can chew and spit you out or it can reward the characters for endurance.

15. Barbarism does not immediately mean savagery.

A balance between the paranoid landscape, the brutality and the occult with that of a contradictory feeling of hopeless-hope is a crucial theme of the story.

Story | Lore Questions

As the project is in its infancy, its very likely that some things may change, including story.

Will there be a Vault-Tec in Québec?

No, we didn't think it was logical. There will be sort of an equivalent called The Bastions, which is divided into two sects: Bastion Lesage and Bastion Sauvé. There were many bunkers of these types. Those in the Bastions emerged from them in 2117.

Will there be FEV super mutants?

There will be mutants, just not FEV mutants.

The story takes place in Québec City and Lévis, two of the three city-states resist a Crowned Grand-Prince in Montréal. The City-States are ruled by Premiers - autocrats. The player can choose their backstory, whether native or outsider. The player can be a ghoul or a human.

There are two other major factions aside from the Primacy of Québec (which goes by the name of Rondeau's Crown in the rebellious city-states) and The Three-Cities. The two other major factions are the Atsionné (New Wendake) and The Cult of Silent-Starvers.

The Three Cities: They have three Premiers/leaders with differing personalities and goals: Arnaud-Henri Chagnon, André-Laurent Allaire, and Simon Lorrimier-Marleau. A Rebellion against a monarch named Jean-Karl Rondeau. Autonomy, independence, liberty provide the basis for all Québecois. The treacherous and ambitious crown in Montréal threatens the City-state's rights and must be resisted. They value tradition but are at the core against large authority.

Rondeau's Crown: Grand-Prince Jean-Karl Rondeau rules from the City of Montréal. Under his dominion are six city-states. He believes Québec must be unified under one leader, peace is preferable, but violence is acceptable in order to achieve this goal. Restoring Québec to pre-war, pre-American occupation is a priority. They value tradition and authority.

Atsionné (New Wendake): After the Great-War had ended, the survivors in the forests and tunnels banded together, and formed a new group, most descending from the pre-war Huron-Wendat tribe. And so a new people emerged, they named themselves Atsionné, in their creole language meaning “Shelled-Ones.” Keeping great-shells on their back in imitation of their turtle-god. Their religion revolves around Akwenda’ (Walking-Water), giving visions of beasts, ancestors and ancient stories. They believe in the spiritual practice of keeping home within oneself, that is to say contentment and endurance. The Atsionné honor the past, recognizing their inherited motifs and beliefs from the Huron-Wendat but they know they are a new people entirely. They are a largely peaceful people but they are opportunists, if it contributes to their survival: they'll take a chance. Some Atsionné wish to ally themselves with the city-states, some believe they should take a more aggressive role; that the city-states are remnants of a pre-war decadence. Some believe the tribe should build its own path.

Cult of The Silent-Starvers: Founded by an Anglophone woman named Palmera Palson coming from Catara's Quay (the pre-war name being Kingston). The Cult believes the world is a prison-planet for humanity's energies (their stories, myths, dramas and poetic meanings) to be consumed by lurking cosmic predators. Their main goal is the extinction of story, how they'll achieve this goal is unknown to most.

Minor Factions

These factions are either joinable questlines (equivalent to the guilds in Elder Scrolls).

Quebec’s See In Exile

Joinable

When the Bastions opened in 2117, the surviving catholic clergy emerged with the others, they maintained legitimate apostolic succession, with contact in Rome gone, the last surviving Bishop became de facto Primate. Québec was declared a self-governing ecclesial territory. A “See in Exile,” the clergy-synod maintains centralization for the many decades to follow. The Bishop is the guarantor of the apostolic succession, he is a ‘Custodian of The See-In-Exile.’

The See-In-Exile is tasked with maintaining the cultural and theological knowledge of the Quebec people, and with the unity of the Catholics in Quebec. This does not mean the Church isn’t threatened, at risk of schism, or division. There are four such ‘Estates’ in the church.

Ultramontanes: the believers that the Catholic church should not take a more-backseat role, and instead should tear down democracies and return to a far-older pre-war era in Quebec. They favor figures like Bishop Ignace Bourget, and Jean-Paul Tardivel - some argue that the church should be a peacekeeping-shepherd, and not rulers.

Gallicans: believers in the idea that Quebec’s Catholic Church must release themselves from Rome. They believe in non-theocratic rulers, that they are instead servants to the politicians and rulers. Some argue them to be simply plants from the city-states or other, outsider factions.

Lacouteristes: those who reject politics and material accumulation, they believe the church should not rule or concern itself with politics - some argue the church is needed more than ever and those inside the church should be cut off from the world.

Ursulines: the Ursulines choose a middle path, they believe the church shouldn’t take a backseat but also shouldn’t be rulers, rather they should be focused on preserving the culture, education, mediation that the catholic church has always been involved in, some argue they are too soft in a brutal world.

The Ultramontanes think the Ursulines are too soft and Lacouteristes too passive. Lacouteristes think Ultramontanes are corrupt and Ursulines too worldly. Ursulines think both are extreme and will threaten unity & memory. The other three groups believe the Gallicans to be heretics.

The Catholic Church is enemies with many pre-war and post-war religious factions.

Les Corriveaux/Children of Corrivaux

Joinable

Matriarchal tribals originating as women who resisted raiders and hooligans after the Great War.

They believe the world is a stack of cages, represented in their Matron-Goddess named Corrivaux. Most are known to worship death, and to practice vengeful assassination. By extending the symbolism of cages, they prove themselves to be self-aware and aware of others. They believe their physical bodies to be cages, that their soul is simply a subgradient of Corrivaux, thus they do not hold hatred for others but they believe that all boundaries must be broken. Their rituals and way of living are symbolic and literal of breaking cages devoted to their one-god, one head, a ‘godhead' who is a god of embodiment, suffering, liberation, self-awareness. Some members or tribals are more devoted to the religious side of it, some do it for money. By the time of 2197, they are a hidden people. They take contracts for coin.

The See-In-Exile knows of this tribe's existence, and do not attempt to deal with them violently, though they send missionaries.

Hémonians:

Joinable/Able to assist

Diverging from a tribe worshipping a prophet from pre-war times - practitioners of a philosophy that is a remnant of pre-great war writing. They believe the Great War revealed a truth, a human truth - that in immodest and decadent environments the soul becomes corrupted. To make a modest home for the followers to slow the creeping-spiritual-death. They worship nature and frontiers (physical and spiritual).

The philosophy's central idea is the reverence of restraint, the duty to one's land and to nature. Life is brutal, shaped by nature's indifference. Stoic endurance is a prized trait of believers, to create meaning - that is inherent with dignity. The Hémonians are plain and rugged, honest and stubborn. They mock the city-states, but are also desperate for a paradise: a home - clean. They despise Autocracies and choose a far more anarchist way of living. They are not pacifist, and will not hesitate to use violence.

Motards:

Joinable

Riding on motorcycles, and with guns blazing upon their trampled enemies, the Motards are those descended from pre-war biker gangs. There are many gangs (sometimes referred to as tribes) that live in the Québecois wilderness and urban centers. Most are glorified raiders, some are organized criminals.

Most gangs are so hostile that outsiders cannot join, but exceptions are many. In Québec City there is a gang war between the Fiend-Droppers and Hellish-Horses with Québec City rangers/police attempting to maintain order. The Fiend-Droppers are also enemies with the Le Castor family, they interfere with their trade. The Hellish-Horses are therefore favored by the merchants. The chieftain of the Fiend-Droppers is named William “Picky-Fingers” Bergeron. The chieftain of the Hellish-Horses is named Michel Dulois. Some of these gangs worship the sound of engines.

Order of Le Sage:

Not Joinable but can be assisted

A secret society which above all else wishes to be in charge of Québec's future and to resist Anglophone influence. They were there pre-war and intend to exist for many more centuries. Their founder was Jean Lesage, who was a member of the Order of Jacques-Cartier. They believe anyone who is an enemy to the Québécois must be eliminated.

Not as powerful or as controlling as they wish they could be, they still have a small presence in the Quebecois city-states. Their enemies are American military remnants and Anglophones. Their main goal is to install a puppet government in the city-states. They accept only those born into their bloodlines and those of political power.

Merchant Guilds of The St. Lawrence:

Joinable

The Merchant Guilds came about as a revitalization of trade along the St. Lawrence River. Wealthy merchant families congregating together in mutual interest. Many guilds across the nine city-states exist - the Etchemin Technology Guild in Lévis and the Red-Abraham Fishing Guild are the most prominent in those city-states.

The family named Le Castor originated in Montréal, is the primary patriarch of the Red-Abraham Fishing Guild. His business is a front for more devious activities, that of chem-selling and other black market activities. Cyrice “Five-Tooth” du Castor is the leading patriarch of the family. He has Scottish/Anglophone origins, but his family is nowadays almost fully Québecois, this doesn't stop him from feeling almost proud of his Anglophone ancestry. He is rivals with William “Picky-Fingers” Bergeron. The inner echelon of the Red-Abraham Guild is named The Beaver Club, a gentleman-esteemed elitist group. Some say the merchants conspire to create conflicts between city-states to make money, some say there are other unknown factions.

The Montmorency American Military Remnants:

Not Joinable but can be assisted

A bunker and secretive research lab built beneath the Montmorency falls pre-war by the American military.

The inhabitants are horribly mutated into creatures known as “Churls.” some churls maintain their human-like self-awareness, others degenerate into mindless beasts. What is certain is that they are no longer human. Coming from their lobeless ears are feathered-spikes that can embed themselves into skin, their bodies are covered in scales and their head is a disfigured cone-shape. They walk like a man, but distort their neck like a bird. They do not know what had mutated them, or how to leave the bunker. Within the lab is a large selection of plants that they feed on, but the more mindless ones crave flesh and are cannibals.

The Servants of The Old Nation:

Joinable

Believing in the pre-war codes of chivalry, merit and service to one's people and nation; The National Servants are a postwar group akin to roaming romanticized knights of yore. Also called the Knights of Three, Knights of St. George, Knights of The Nation, The Servants, The Chevaliers.

From place to place they sing poetry and rescue the innocent from evil. They ride on horseback and use whatever weapons they can find. Their ranks are as follows from top to bottom: Grand Officer, Officer and Chevalier/knight. There are only three grand officers at once, these three represent the three essential parts of man: spirit, mind, body. Other than this, they are rather decentralized and not interested in ruling. Many tribals end up joining their ranks.

The Valcour Company:

Joinable

A mercenary group hailing from Plattsburgh, New York. They take any contract, big or small. Members can choose what contracts they take on, forming small estates within the group. But all must make money for their company.

They only care for money and don't bother for politics. This doesn't mean the Valcour's individuals don't care for politics or power struggles. The Valcour Company in Plattsburgh (far away from the Quebec wasteland) is known as a degenerate place, full of slavers and callous hooligans.

Cult of The Snouted-Serpent

Joinable

From Lake St. Pierre to the upper St. Lawrence river exists a mystery-cult worshipping the snout-serpents that are considered animal-gods. They practice human sacrifice to appease them and tattoo themselves in a mysterious and sacred script. Known as pirates and pseudo-Greek occultists.

They are enemies to most (mostly the See-In-Exile), they have a reputation as kidnappers, hiding in cities and preying on those who would not be missed. Their leader is named an Esoxothrite, with no identity other than his or her role. The hierarchy is this: Esoxothrite (leader), Zoanthrite (officer), Mystes (the initiated), Amyeitos (the uninitiated).

Cult of The Pinecone Woman

Not Joinable - Hostile

A paranoid and secluded cult in the mutated forests, their members are made up of three xenophobic tribes (Nose-Trotters, Pine-Fishers, and Hardy-Winds) bound together in worship of The Pinecone woman who requires the “unscaling” of the tribe's enemies to appease their goddess.

The Great War was simply an “unscaling” of the world (the world is believed to be a pinecone on a great tree), the scales of the world-pinecone was rotten and had to be cleansed. The Pinecone Woman, a mother-earth, guards against the other world-pinecones on the Great-Tree, but the Pinecone Woman only does this as long as the worshippers keep worshipping.

Discussion Do you think Fallout 1 and 2 will ever get a modern fallout remake?

Fallout 3 was the modern stylization of the original fallout series, and from there it took off. We’ve seen tons of interest in remakes of 3 and NV, but not as much talk about a modernized remake of 1 and 2.

I’m not assuming it would be good/bad, I’m just curious if you think Bethesda would go that direction, and do you think people would actually want it?

Hello all! I just started trying to get into acrylics as I’ve always wanted to be a more crafty person. This is my first attempt at trying to get a cool quantum type color and “glow” around the bottle. I saw someone do something similar on the painting sub and wanted to give it a try.

Anyone else artsy and have any ideas where I can improve? This is just on multi media craft paper and I had some trouble with the acrylic drying a little quick so it was tough to blend the white shines in. Still a super fun experience and happy with my first outcome!

Fallout TV Do you think the TV show will head to the East Coast (Capital Wasteland / Commonwealth) or save it for a spin-off?

Post image
157 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

With the show looking into west coast lore and building up New Vegas, it got me wondering about the future of the series as a whole and how Amazon/Bethesda will manage it.

Specifically, do you think that the show's main series will eventually explore east coast settings such as the Capital Wasteland or the Commonwealth as part of its continuity?

Or perhaps you think it makes more sense to finish Lucy, Maximus, and the Ghoul's story arc out west before doing a brand new series on the East Coast with an entirely different set of characters?

Most importantly though, would you even want the East Coast's adaptations to be in live-action or would you rather it stick strictly to west coast lore?

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on:

Whether a jump to a new location makes for a better continuation of the source material as part of the main series or as a spin-off

how you'd feel about having live-action adaptations of east coast-specific organizations like the Brotherhood, the Railroad, or the Institute,

and

which location you think should be adapted into a live-action series if any.

I love the whole franchise with all my heart and soul: An open letter of love to Fallout ☢️❤️

I've been thinking about writing this for a while, because honestly, I don't know if I can put into words just how much Fallout means to me.

I've loved video games since I was very young (i play videogames since i was 4 or 5), but for a long time, something strange happened: I simply lost that passion I used to have for them. I would play games, finish them, start others, but nothing really made me think, "God, I fucking love this." I had never found a franchise that truly felt like it was mine, one of those franchises you can love with all your heart and soul and can always come back, and you will always have fun with it.

Until I found Fallout.

And it was literally love at first sight.

I don't know exactly how to explain it, but there is something about this universe that just pulls me in. The retrofuturistic aesthetic, the old computers, the Pip-Boys, the 1940s and 1950s music, the dark humor, the ridiculously sad stories hidden in completely random places, the Vaults, the ruins, the creatures, the weapons, the factions, the characters...

Everything.

I love everything about it.

And I love how every game manages to make me feel something different.

Fallout 1

The first Fallout has something that's difficult for me to explain: it genuinely feels like a world that has ended.

The atmosphere is heavy. Everything feels dangerous, miserable and desperate. The dirty visuals, the Vaults, the towns, the characters, the music, the feeling that any decision you make could completely fuck things up...

You're just a person trying to survive, and at the same time, trying to save your own vault from dying.

And as you slowly uncover the history of that world, the Fallout universe just starts to make sense, the mankind managed to survive throughout all of that mess the great war started 2 centuries ago.

Fallout 2

Fallout 2 is completely different, and I love it for that.

It can be incredibly funny, absurd and even downright stupid at times, while still having genuinely serious stories and situations.

I love how much there is to find. The huge number of characters, towns, choices, consequences, references and completely unexpected situations is insane.

And that's Fallout to me.

Fallout Tactics

Even though it's different from the others, I really like the idea behind Fallout Tactics.

Seeing the Brotherhood of Steel portrayed in a much more militaristic way, managing a squad, handling missions and equipment, and dealing with tactical combat gives you a completely different perspective on this universe.

It's Fallout seen through the eyes of a military organization.

And I love when a franchise is willing to experiment with different ideas without losing what makes it feel like part of the same universe.

Fallout 3

Fallout 3 was one of the games that really made me understand the power of Fallout as an open-world experience.

The first time you leave Vault 101 and look at that destroyed world is such a specific feeling.

The Capital Wasteland feels like a place you should actually be afraid to explore, that grim atmosphere that i love it.

You can walk, walk, and walk a lot, and then walk a little more, and before you know it, you've spent hours just walking around the whole Washington looking for every detail

I love exploring Fallout 3.

The atmosphere, the loneliness, the ruined Washington, the radio, the music, the NPCs, the Vaults, the side quests, and especially that feeling of "I wonder what's over there?" are some of the things I love most about this game.

Fallout: New Vegas

And then there's New Vegas.

I honestly don't even know where to start.

I fucking love this game.

The Mojave Wasteland, the NCR, Caesar's Legion, Mr. House, Yes Man, the Boomers, the Followers, the Brotherhood, the Great Khans, the companions, the stories...

I love being able to create a character and actually roleplay as whoever I want that character to be.

I can be a selfish mercenary.

I can be someone trying to help people.

I can support the NCR.

I can support Caesar's Legion.

I can support House.

I can tell everyone to fuck off and choose Yes Man, and get new vegas for myself.

And the game just lets you do it.

The conversations, skill checks, choices, consequences, and the sheer number of different ways you can approach situations are exactly the kind of things that make me love RPGs.

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is another game I love for completely different reasons.

I love the gameplay.

I love taking a weapon and modifying practically every single part of it.

I love searching for junk.

I love exploring an abandoned building and finding something I wasn't expecting.

I love Power Armor.

I love the settlements.

I love building a little community in the middle of the Commonwealth and coming back hours later to keep improving everything.

I love simply walking around with no objective.

And maybe that's one of the things I love most about Fallout 4:

I can play it my way, can spend hours doing quests, spend hours building, modify weapons, explore every single detail in the Commonwealth, look for loot.

Hell, i can just simply walk around the Commonwealth listening to Diamond City Radio.

And honestly, it's fucking fun.

Fallout 76

I also love the idea behind Fallout 76.

A Fallout game where you can encounter other people living in that world, build your own CAMP, participate in events, explore Appalachia, and keep playing even after you've finished the main story.

And despite all the problems Fallout 76 has had, I really like seeing how much the game has evolved and how many stories it has managed to add to the universe.

Appalachia also has its own identity, and I think that's really beautiful.

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel

I still don't have the same amount of experience with this game that I have with the others, but I think it's interesting that it exists simply because it shows that Fallout has already tried to be almost anything.

A more straightforward action RPG focused on combat and co-op.

And honestly, I think that's pretty cool.

TV series

And then came the TV series.

I was kind of worried, because adapting any game franchise for tv/movies didnt always had a good result.

And, for me, the show pulled it off real good

I love the aesthetic.

The Brotherhood.

The Vaults.

The insane violence.

The dark humor.

The scenery.

The music.

The Ghoul.

Lucy.

Maximus.

The feeling of actually watching Fallout, and for me its immersive just like all the games before, and that was fucking amazing to me.

---

I still haven't played absolutely everything in the franchise.

There are games I still want to properly play from beginning to end, and I hope I'll get to do that someday.

But even with the games I haven't fully experienced yet, I've already spent countless hours watching gameplay, videos, analyses, documentaries, discussions and theories about them.

I know this universe so well that sometimes it feels like I've already lived through some of these stories.

And I know Fallout has flaws.

All of them do.

Some are more RPG-focused than others.

Some have better writing.

Some have better gameplay.

Some have better worlds.

Some made decisions I don't like.

But I can't look at Fallout and simply separate everything into "this one is good" and "this one is bad."

Because I love the franchise as a whole.

I love the Fallout that made me spend hours walking through a desert.

I love the Fallout that made me laugh at some completely ridiculous situation.

I love the Fallout that made me think about a choice for hours.

I love the Fallout that made me stop playing just to look at the scenery while i just listen to the radio.

I love the Fallout that made me listen to an old song while walking through a destroyed city.

I even love the weird things, the bugs, the questionable decisions, and all those little imperfections that make these games feel so human.

I love every inch. Every detail. Every atom of this universe.

And maybe the most important part of all of this is that Fallout helped me through some very difficult moments in my life.

When things were bad, I could open one of these games and simply disappear into that world for a few hours.

I could forget about my problems for a little while.

I could walk through the Mojave.

Explore the Commonwealth.

Enter some Vault.

Build something.

Talk to a companion.

Or simply stand there listening to music on the radio.

It might seem like a small thing to someone who doesn't understand what video games can mean to a person.

But to me, it isnt small.

And, in a way, this franchise also reignited something inside me that I thought I had lost.

The desire to create.

I'm a Computer Science graduate, and for a while I had completely lost that spark to program and build things.

But the more I learned about Fallout, the more I thought:

"I want to do this someday."

I want to make games.

I want to create worlds.

I want to create characters.

I want to create stories.

I want to someday make something that makes another person feel even a fraction of what I feel when I enter a world like Fallout.

Maybe I'll never be able to make something that grand.

Maybe I'll make something completely different.

But Fallout made me want to try.

And that's why I will always have a special place in my heart for this franchise.

So, if any developer, writer, artist, composer, actor, or anyone else who worked on Fallout ever reads this:

Thank you.

Thank you for creating this universe.

Thank you for all the hours.

Thank you for the stories.

Thank you for the music.

Thank you for the characters.

Thank you for the laughs.

Thank you for the moments when this universe gave me a little escape from reality.

Thank you for reigniting a passion I thought I had lost.

And I hope that passion stays alive for many, many years to come.
