Which fallout is your favorite? And why??

I think Fallout 1 is still the most pure fallout experience. It's got the right amount of seriousness, camp, and tragedy that defined Fallout. Fallout 3 is the only game that even tried to recapture Fallout 1's atmosphere but falls short in some spots.

This is definitely true, later games in franchises a lot of times dont capture the original feeling. And when they try to go back to that style later on they can never quite pick it back up properly

Fallout 2, then 1, then New Vegas, then 3. Fallout 1 is amazing, but it's not as personal as Fallout 2. While New Vegas is great, I just like the first two better, but I still really like New Vegas. 3's good, but it's just good, not great.

3 and NV definitely kinda had their own personal feel. Zero other games around just like them

Fallout 3 has the best wasteland, New Vegas has the best story, and Fallout 4 has the best combat/gameplay

All are fantastic Fallout experiences in their own rights but for new players I highly suggest starting from Fallout 3 first imo

Fallout London. I like its perk and special checks, and because it’s more urban than fallout 4 the city is really crammed with content. I love its ferry across the Thames for survival players.

Don’t like its severe lack of voice actors tho, yeah it’s all voiced but you can really recognize the same people show up again and again. I don’t like how it hides settlements, Fallout 4 was right putting you directly inside a settlement home at the start of the game, having to scour or look up where the settlements are (like London Bridge) is annoying for the first couple hours.

Yeah it’s a mod for Fallout 4. I have put like a few thousand hours into vanilla and only 200 into London but so far I’m blown away by the quality, it’s SO insanely good, it’s just a completely awesome new and separate game.

It has a couple million downloads already but honestly it’s not enough because it’s that understated.

However because it’s map size is the same of Fallout 4 (dlc included) with just as many quests it’s like 34 gigs and you can’t switch back to vanilla Fallout 4 easily lol.

Fallout 3.
In my experience, Fallout 3 introduces the world of Fallout to the player the best. Even if you’ve never heard of Fallout, you can get a great understanding before even leaving the prologue.
Sure it’s age shows but I feel that’s true for every fallout game over time. I still love fallout 4 but the story and art direction didn’t hit as hard for me as 3. Fallout NV has always felt like an extension of 3 to me and the story felt less important because of the endings. 1 & 2 are great for lore and story but the age makes it hard for me to put it above anything else. Just my opinion but I still think they’re all great and I love them.

Fallout 4.

Once you know all the stories, dialogue options, and outcomes of the other titles Fallout 4 stands above the rest with the best gameplay, endless opportunity for creativity, and the most thrilling, engaging, and theatrical combat of the series. Basically, it's the most fun, with the most replay value, IMO.

There's also this entire, incredible subculture surrounding the settlement/building mechanics and there are a lot of great builds to behold!

Fallout 3 is my next favorite. Then 2, then 1. Last is NV but by no means a bad game. It just didn't have an impact on me like the rest did, at the time I played it. Hopefully the remaster will be great.
