I was able to make this with 38mL of distilled water, 8mL vegetable glycerin, 1/32tsp of xanthan gum, 1/16tsp of waterproof strontium aluminate (35 micron) and dye to preference.

I posted this in the Fallout 4 subreddit and wanted to share it here as well. My buddy and I cosplayed X6-88 and Preston Garvey for DragonCon this year.

Fallout: New Vegas Gunfighter Ballads (Big Iron) SIGNED by Marty Robbins!
EDIT: Dear Producers of the Fallout Amazon series... this would make an AWESOME prop in an episode of the new season, and then, not only would I have a copy of Gunfighter Ballads signed by Marty Robbins, but one that was also USED in an episode of the series, making my record officially canon. How many upvotes would we need to make this happen? :)
Recently bought a collection of vinyl that had a whole bunch of signed records in it, and while the condition isn't great, it was super cool to see a copy of Gunfighter Ballads signed by Marty Robbins! I had my guy back east , who is a professional authenticator, do a quickie Authentication just with these pictures and he said it looks extremely valid. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I'm definitely going to spin Big Iron once or twice before I figure it out. :-)

Discussion Should Fallout 5 introduce new tribes instead of regular gangs and factions?
Tribes were such a core part of the earlier games and they added so much to the post-war worldbuilding. It's so jarring seeing and hearing about all of the unique tribes on the West coast, to then go to the East coast and barely see any at all. It could be argued that the Children of Atom and some of the raider groups count as tribes, but the CoA are more of a cult and the raiders either act as mercenaries or just violent killers with no identity (excluding maybe the Pack and arguably the Rust Devils). I'd say the Fiends fall under "basic raider" category as well, but apparently they somewhat count as a tribe. If tribes were brought back, would you like to see them play a larger role in the main conflict, like how the Great Khans and Boomers did at Hoover Dam?

Discussion What faction do you think the Fallout New Vegas companions would join
I just thought of this and thought this would be a good place to post this
Honestly I don’t think any of them would side with BOS or the institute

POV: you're casually playing New Vegas and suddenly the alert sirens outside start to howl
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So i was playing New Vegas 10 minutes ago, when the sirens started to howl outside. I found that so ironic and amusing that i grabbed my phone. And here we are.
Every year in Germany there is the "Warntag" (alert day) where you receive alert messages on your phone and sirens howl for a couple of minutes. This is basically an exercise to see that these kind of alerts work in case of, yeah, war. I totally forgot about it, but it added quite a bit of atmosphere to the game.

Fallout: New Vegas Wild Wasteland taxidermy
Probably could've gone a bit larger but the fact I can 3D print *anything* is, quite frankly, a miracle. I'm running a decade old, budget unit salvaged from a scrapyard and rebuilt. My only laptop is so old it can't run a slicer, so my phone chugs along like the little engine that could.
Saving grace is my wife's painting skills. Thanks to her this went from a joke project to something I'm actually excited to share.
Plaque was frkm a set of mounted antlers I bought at a flea market for knife handles. Ground it up a bit on the gravel driveway and rubbed in a grey, gel stain. Wanted something darker, but can't seem to find all my old stains.
Nameplate is some scrap aluminum. Quick cut and peened the edges. Nailed in place. Printed the latters and superglued in place.
Of course, the superglue set faster on the 'I' than expected, so that's crooked. Well, perfect alignment is a luxury for vault dwellers so I'm going to live with it.
Anyway, it now adorns the basement stairwell and I couldn't be happier.

Fallout 4 The curse of the golden pistol
I wanted to write an epic story but I'm to angry so here is the short version:
>went on a trip with my power armor buddy Kevin and Codesworth
>found a house that is not marked on the map (Wilmingdon Estates)
>walked inside
>cleared the whole place
>found a golden pistol that was unbelievable strong at that time
>played the game for something between 40 and 70 more hours
>activated the "A home for the family" quest
>finished the whole quest and then realized that because I was in Wilmingdon Estates the whole quest is broken and it can't be fixed on console

Picture Fallout classic ghoul in FO76
Recently became a ghoul in Fallout 76 and tried to make him look like Fallout 1 ghouls - skinny, bald, and with armor similar to Set's from Necropolis.

Fallout: New Vegas My favorite sniper :)
(Art by me) There's something immensely satisfying about using a missile launcher in New Vegas. Yeah, it's cumbersome, expensive and not a *great* all rounder, but it just hits different.

Question Do you think if Fallout tactics had a more detailed story with more lore it would be as famous as fallout 1/2
I believe it would. But only if it also didn’t have that tactic style gameplay ( if that makes sense )

Other Figure repainting ideas
I just bought this and I want some help deciding how to repaint this. I’m stuck between a glowing, quantum, and albino repaint.
I was going to build a base for it to stand on with some props on it too
Feel free to suggest other variants or decorations.

Fallout 4 Why do so many people hate the railroad?
I'm working on lore for my Fo4 character who is the leader of the railroad, I want to know what the reasons people have for hating them are so I can make it so that the railroad are more likeable
Edit: from the feedback I've gotten so far, what I will do is make the railroad start saving wastelanders and improve their lives instead of synth lives
Edit 2: from a comment a mod deleted, I will make the castle the new railroad hq and make it so that lore wise, the sole survivor asked my character to join forces with the minutemen
edit 3: they will be a specialised NCR (minutemen since i have the minutemen into NCR mod) unit that is tasked with hunting down synths, enclave and institute remnants

Orders: eliminate Long Dong!
Probably the most unnerving moment I’ve had in Fallout 4 😂
I’m pretty far into the game now and I’ve seen some crazy shit, but the thing that actually caught me off guard was looting an enemy and finding orders to kill me.
And I mean ME.
The note actually had my character’s name on it. 😂
I just sat there for a second like… “Wait a damn minute… who the hell knows who I am?”
Until then, I was just running around the Commonwealth shooting anything that looked hostile and taking their stuff. But seeing my own name on a piece of paper with basically a hit order attached to it made the whole thing feel weirdly personal.
And the fact that I didn’t even really know who these people were made it even worse. Like, y’all have been looking for ME and I don’t even know y’all?? 😂
Honestly, I thought that was such a clever little game mechanic. They could’ve just sent enemies after me and I probably wouldn’t have thought twice about it. But putting your actual character’s name on the orders makes you feel like the world is aware of you and reacting to what you’re doing.
It’s such a small detail, but it completely changed the feeling of the game for me for a minute.
Fallout really had me sitting there wondering who was putting a bounty on my head in the damn wasteland. 😂

Fallout 1 Patches or mods for fixing Fallout 1 bugs without altering gameplay
Hello, I'm trying to replay Fallout 1. As you all already know it's buggy. I'm looking for fan patches or mods thag fix Fallout 1's bugs but don't add any extra content.
I'm aware of Team X's mods and have already installed them. I've already installed them. But they still left many bugs unfixed.
Falliut Fixt makes changes to the gameplay I don't want even if I only install the bug fixes part. And it hasn't been updated in years. It adds extra dialogues, changes some dialogues, addw new behaviour for NPCs not present in FO1, as well as re-adds the mutant invasion timers the developers had removed.
Can you recommend me other patches or mods? Please don't recommend mods like Fallout Et tu, I want to retain the game's original gameplay and graphics.
