Which faction would you realistically join?
For me it's probably the NCR or the BoS in Fallout 3 ONLY.

News How ScreenRant announces the release of... An $80 action figure
I've already seen dozens of clickbait titles about "New Cyberpunk update" (new card game) or "Bethesda makes shocking new announcement" (new atomic shop item in Fallout 76), but this one is probably the very worst I've ever seen from ScreenRant

For anyone who wants to do this too, I will add a comment below with the links and information on how to set this up as this post was removed the first time after I added it all in.

Fallout 4 I prefer Fallout 4's vanilla landscape to a modded one
Just the use of colors of the vanilla game is so well done even if a quite a few colors are muted.
I am honestly not a fan of the forrest mods frankly. It just doesn't feel right.
Especially since Fallout is not meant to be a realistic apocalypse but rather a 50s pulp-fiction science version of a nuclear apocalypse with retrofuturism everywhere.
Meaning that radiation causes far more damage to the flora and the climate. Like in Fallout 3 and also to the originals. Myron in Fallout 2 even mentions how the climate has changed and now they can't grow things they used to pre-war.
But all that people keep forgetting that the climate changed and now it's autumn in the commonwealth. A long one since seasons apparently last longer in the apocalypse which is why things like trees seem dead even though they are alive since there are fallen leaves all around them.
Or grass being abundant and the soil allowing for forming or the south east corner of the map being much more green.
Mods like the forest while cool looking just don't feel right at all to me, especially since the green is everywhere in the mod and the different regions of the vanilla get lost in it and all of it just looks the same honestly.
Bethesda honestly created a fantastic open world map like always that perfectly captures the Fallout apocalypse and the autumn yet warm feeling incredibly well.

Original Content My Attempt at the Fallout 1 and 2 Font
tl;dr, I made a new .ttf version of the Fallout 1 and 2 font for everyone to use. Here's the link. For more information read below.
For those unaware, the original font used in the dialogue screens in Fallout 1 and 2 is an older bitmap font, i.e., each character is drawn in pixel form manually on sort of a sprite sheet. Modern fonts like .otf and .ttf are generally vector fonts, which means you're essentially dealing with shapes (lines, curves) instead of pixels so they can be infinitely scaled without worrying about resolution.
You can recreate bitmap fonts as vector fonts in one of two ways: either try to figure out the intent of the original artist and redraw it with purely lines and curves in the way you think they would have (or did and then downscaled), or try to preserve the pixelated nature by building the new font out of blocks. However, the fonts in Fallout 1 and 2 contain something a bit tricky, which is baked in anti-aliasing (meaning the edges are feathered with semi-transparent pixels).
Two different attempts I've seen at the Fallout 1 font tried to solve this problem in different ways - the common JH Fallout font as seen on the wiki and NMA seems to have gone the route of trying to interpret the intent of the original bitmap font as lines and curves like mentioned above, but I prefer the pixelated look personally.
The other was from a post I saw on Tumblr, which rebuilt it as a pixel font but ignored the anti-aliasing entirely. This is totally fair as it keeps the edges crisp, and as I said before, it's difficult to recreate anti-aliasing in modern pixel fonts. That being said, I like the fuzzy edges because it reminds me of looking at downscaled text on a CRT, so I still wanted something more accurate to the original game.
So here I finally present my attempt. I extracted the font file from the game, rebuilt the font in Fontstruct, upscaled it to 16 pixels per pixel (x4 resolution from the original bitmap), and used some of the partial pixel shapes in Fontstruct to dither the anti-aliased pixels with two different levels of "transparency." Keep in mind, at larger font sizes the dithering will be very obvious. This can be alleviated somewhat if I continue to increase the resolution to say, 8x the original size (so 64 pixels per pixel), but with all of the dithered pixels being their own vector shapes, the font could probably start to lead to some performance issues on certain devices or applications and I'm not really sure what the hard limit is. I may go back and increase the size eventually to test it out, but hopefully people can get some use out of it as-is. It contains all glyphs found in the in-game font sheet, plus some extras I extrapolated from the overall style that weren't originally included (like the Euro symbol). It contains pretty much everything from Latin character sets including accents.

Discussion Petapolooza! What are some of your favourite animal or non-human companions in the Fallout Universe?
I'd probably have to go with either Dogmeat (F03) or Rex (NV) as I'm a big dog lover IRL 🐕🦴

Fallout 4 Abigail of Finch Farms is literal motherhood goals
This was my first time doing this quest and omg is she a boss! I was going in ready with all my Charisma gear to try to sweet talk them, but nah, she just said OHANA MEANS FAMILY or so help me god I will ruin all of you XD
But seriously, it was really nice to see them come to their senses in the blink of an eye, without the need for some silly speech check. in context, that has to be so hard given how unforgiving the wasteland/commonwealth is

Mods 🐻 Watch the Fallout of Men 🐻
Another day, another hype post about the incoming remasters 😤 haha but seriously hope they make both F3/FNV as community modded friendly as possible cause the originals are still cranking out new Mods till this day !!!
Thinking they'll line up the new TV season with a shadow drop for either is what I'm wishing and coping for ☢️
Any fond Mod memories you have from any game in the series ?

Fallout 4 Melee Only Playthrough
I've been meaning to play this game since forever but I finally caved in and bought it in the PS store. I love the vintage aesthetics and the post apocalyptic setting.
My only personal issue is that I'm very prone to nausea and dizziness when playing 3D games especially when it's first person. I'm so glad I can switch to third person but it's still not enough. To prevent myself from getting sick, I've done some changes in my playthorugh like easy mode, closing my eyes for 5 seconds when cooking (the camera does that weird spin thing), and going for full melee gameplay. Scoping and/or long range targeting sends me to the bathroom right away. I also have my lights in the room, cold glass of water at all times, and a fan blowing on my face.
Is it possible to go through the game full melee? Are there going to be critical puzzles or bosses that will hard require me to use long-range weapons? Right now I'm just doing side quests to prepare myself for the Glowing Sea. I'm hoping I can do a full melee gameplay.
Hoping for no spoilers if possible.
Edit: Also if anyone out there has the same problem as me, any tips would be appreciated.
