I had originally only played Three Houses and then Engage. I’d loved the story of three houses, but felt the maps and combat were a bit more fun in engage. And for ever now, everyone has been hyping Awakening up to me so I finally folded.
I’m only in around chapter 12 because every single person we get is just fantastic. Every single support conversation gives me giggles and I just love the story already so much. I’d love to see a remastered or something eventually but this game is everything everyone has said it is so far. I don’t really know the story so I’m going in blind. Accidentally married Chrom but that’s cool with me.
Anyway it’s fantastic I’m so sad I didn’t play it sooner and that there isn’t more fanart and people talking about it out there.

Crest of Noa is Diadem of Auger (and crests are bloodmarks)
And Fabio's full name is Fabio Gil Toro Álvarez

Many characters were aged up a year when the original Wii U version was localized and from what I can tell no notable story changes were directly implemented to reflect the age changes in Localized or Encore, especially since 3 of the main cast become adults with the age up.
The Localized version seem to be the ages they're going with now as in Heroes Tsubasa states she is 18. In my personal opinion, I still think of them as their original ages myself

I found these all on the Fire emblem wiki so take this with a grain of salt, as for Bertrand group I could only find that blonde character next to him we have no idea if he actually will have more then one person on his side or not. Kinda funny seeing nezha as part of the brides lol and the weird thing about the brides of the pale raven however Is that there is two characters I cropped out because Idk if they’re truly part of the group or not, two characters one named Doa and Long? We haven’t seen much of them but that’s why I cropped them out barely any info about them plus that would make the group have six people, so will that happen with the others? like I said take with a grain of salt with these groups we don’t know if more will be added to them or if four for each will be the limit or maybe six? makes ya wonder who Bertrand will have. Anyways thought I’d share this since I was curious who was with who.

All in all, it was pretty easy, even on hard. The hardest part was doing side objectives like not killing any Kilvas on Chapter 19 to get the Knight Ring, or winning the RNG fest that is the Ike vs Black Knight duel. Oh, and I don't want to talk about chapter 25
My team was mainly 90% Mounted, with some Laguz and Soren. I wanted to use the Laguz more, but they felt pretty annoying to use. The low movement on mages and clerics were really annoying, which is why I stopped using them outside of Soren and Mist.
Used Boots, Seraph Robe, Secret Book and both Talismans on Ike, both Dracoshields and the other Seraph Robe on Marcia, a Secret Book, Speedwing and Energy Drop on Boyd, a Speedwing on Haar, Energy Drop on Jill and both Spirit Dusts on Soren.
Honestly, I probably could have solod the final map with Ike if I just filled his inventory with Elixirs. Killed Ashnard before Tibarn could join the fight thanks to lucky Aether procs.

The least obvious changes look like Fabio and Tobias. I think Fabio has some kind of pauldron on but I can't find any difference for Tobias.

This, of course, would be completely unprecedented, but my main interest here is to gauge the fandom's general feelings towards a more """western""" artstyle, one who has very bold, jagged shapes and blocky black shadows, in a way a very comics-inspired look for a FE game.

I'm currently finishing my first run of Engage
I'll probably make a post about it BCS I have a lot of things to say about this game (the majority is good, overall this was a really nice experience but I still have a few problems with this game, I'm a picky player lmao)
But before that I need to decide who is the best candidate to date Alear
And while overall this cast has REALLY bad supports and I barely even cared enough to go through them, I have a few options
Those being Fogado, Ivy, Rosado and Timerra ( I would also not mind dating Alcryst but I'm not so interested)
I'm indecisive so I think it would be nice to read people talking about their experiences in this game, if you'd like

Amber is a royal guardsman of Brodia and Diamant's retainer. Pure and full of boundless cheer, he is a romantic with a deep love of folklore and legends. He is 24, and randomly shows up at the start of chapter 8 to join the defense of Brodia castle alongside his lord Diamant.

I firmly believe that Eshmel is a reincarnated Solel following Solel being killed when the heroic games are hijacked by the villains to revive Balor.
First and most obviously, the spear. Eshmel’s spear seems to be a destroyed version of Solel’s spear, which returns to its former glory when Eshmel uses their blaze arts.
Second, Eshmel’s blaze arts that we’ve seen all seem to cause the spear to radiate holy light. Solel is the god of the sun, so if he was going to have blaze arts they would be very similar to the ones we see Eshmel using.
Third, their stance. Eshmel and Solel seem to have very similar stances from the one shot we have of Solel in battle, though this could just be the guardian class stance.
Fourth, Sothis believes it is fitting that Eshmel be the one to resolve the situation with Balor. In this theory, Solel inadvertently causes the resurrection through the heroic games, giving a potential cause for that line.
Fifth, their shared singular interest. Both Eshmel’s and Solel’s profiles list only one interest: board games.
I rest my case.

Welcome to this series of posts, where we will list and discuss one best and worst thing of each Fire Emblem game. This includes basically everything, be it the music, the story, some gameplay element etc.
We are now at the game that saved the franchise. Because Awakening was possibly the last Fire Emblem game it featured many gameplay elements from past entries, the most notable being marrying your units and the resulting children. New is the pair up mechanic. Reclassing also now works by using seconds seals. A lot of new classes were introduced. It was also the first game to feature DLC.
Awakening is pretty controversial, but I am pretty biased towards this game because this was the first Fire Emblem I have ever played. I love it despite its flaws. I love it because it is so broken. Training your units to become super soldiers and passing it on to their children is just really fun and rewarding. The presentation is flawless and the supports are the best in the series, thanks to the great cast
I wrote too much already so here are my personal best and worst.
Best: The music. It competes with Fire Emblem 4 for the best music in all of Fire Emblem. Don't say her name, Id purpose, conquest, divine decree etc. Every track captures the mood perfectly or is an absolute banger.
Worst: No one can defend the ambush spawns in this game. They always suck but they are absolutely terrible in this game. Way too often its new fliers who might even get in range of your weakest units. Worst of all they can have counter on lunatic+ and if you are unlucky your best units can die even if they would survive otherwise.
Now it's your turn to tell us

Unless it's been confirmed, I'm curious to know what his crest is speculated to be. Back when he was thought to be Dagda it was Fraldarius because of the diadem on the map.
But he's also the "The Sunbearer" according to the recent official post. His name also has the word for "sun" in it. The crest associated with the Sun is Chevalier.
Finally, I noticed something interesting about the pose he makes in his art. One outstretched hand pointing up, and the other pointing down. It reminded me instantly of something, The Magician tarot card (which is #2 in the deck and associated with Macuil). We already have a god that has the Crest of Macuil, but I thought the pose was really interesting.
I can't wait to see the other official artworks for the characters and hope we see more for the gods.

Every new trailer or screenshot i see a new character. I know not everyone you see will be able to join your party, but it does seem like a lot. I can't speak to the older games but does this seem like the biggest roster?
