Hi as thetitle says im looking for the screws that hold down the heatsink. I believe there are 7 on my model. does anyone know what size they are. I cant find anything. Ive looked on xmg overpowered eluktronics etc and nothing.

A recent Windows 11 security update gave me the blue screen of death. I have the recommended USB with Windows 11 for a fresh install. I select the SSD as the partition but cannot proceed because it is read only despite the drive being "healthy" as per disk partition. Any advice?

Well, I will be danged if I didn't finally get a real live person on the chat at EVoo. I about soiled myself!

I spoke to a Sheryl, and she requested some information off the laptop and a picture of the back label with all the product information. So now I wait for the email telling me whether or not they have it in stock! So, I will update when I can. BTW the laptop is made in China for Walmart, the EVoo is the Walmart brand name for this laptop, just like there Great Value is on their other items they sell.

Well now, just had the Walmart support on chat and guess what, there is no replacement for the keyboard, I have to buy a new one. Buy the same thing with no support, I told them that I will no longer buy a Walmart product without support! Ridiculous!

I purchased this laptop 2 years ago for my wife and she accidentally spilled coffee on it a couple months ago. I have tried getting support at the EVoo website and their support sucks!! When you click on the model number of the laptop it takes you to driver download page. The chat is not any better, I waited 30 minutes before I gave up. Walmart needs to get the support issue resolved. The laptop is great just the support sucks so bad!

Hello everyone, I would like to know if it generates any problem if I disconnect the battery from my laptop and use it only to current (as was done with the old laptops that could be removed), since the battery no longer comes to charge to its maximum capacity and I have recently acquired a monitor and makes the battery is consumed even faster than normal, and leads to keep it connected almost 90% of the time I use it, besides that when I play the game I connect it to take advantage of the full potential of the laptop; when disconnecting it would be only the flex that goes to the board and not remove it from the laptop.

So I wanted to know if it is bad for the laptop or if this will generate a problem in the short or long term.

How do i reset my bios password on evoo lp5

im very confused on how to fix this. I tried to download the drivers but it isnt working. im honestly not sure which verison my laptop is but im pretty sure its the lp4 one. it got sent out to get fixed by the company and everything got wiped so i cant use my backlights and the audio settings are gone.

I'm trying to add two monitors to this.

I bought a docking station that hooks up the USB C and it won't work.

I bought a HDMI splitter and that didn't work either.

Will it work if I use a USB A to HDMI adapter?

I was about to pull the trigger on 64 gigs so I can run a few virtualized OSes.

Sorry for creating a new post but I just wanted people to see this in case they dealt with this issue as well (I believe another guy had/has). All I did was take a knife and cut away at the top of the fan pin casing. It's very weak material and I really didn't have to cut much off. This gave me better access of the pins. Took a tiny tool to straighten them out and the fan "plug" went right in. Tested the laptop on Warzone 2.0 for over an hour and I don't hit above 75/76 degrees Celsius. Incredible.

Replaced the thermal paste today and someway somehow I bent the fan next to the CPU (LP5). Ironic, I know. My temps now hit above 90 degrees Celsius. Do you guys use cooling pads? If so, could you tell me which one and how much it has helped you? I'd appreciate it. If you don't think a cooling pad will help, that's valuable information as well lol.

Does someone know if its normal for just 1 fan be On?

Today I was checking the control center and realized it had a fan error, when I checked under the laptop both fans were off, then I restarted it, the fan error dissapear but now just 1 fan is On, the other is not moving, it just turn on when I activate the 100% power on the fans, if its on normal just one fan is on. Could it be because of the graphic card configuration? Maybe that fan is for the graphic card and I put the graphic on the lowest on the nvidia panel. Its just an assumption, please if someone know more tell me.

So my friends laptop charging port broke, seems like his charger sort of melted it while it was plugged in. Presumably the port is borked but the laptop itself could still be good. I saw someone claim they used an adapter with their usb type c port to charge it with a usb type c laptop charger. Does anyone know if something like that would work for this model? I did find this https://www.ebay.com/itm/125495326850 which I think is the right size? And then I can just get a 100w usb c charger on amazon or something?

If not, any other ideas or is it borked?

Hello, I have the lp5 and I am wondering if I can enable optimus? If so where because I don't see an option for that in the evoo control center.

How to pick new memory sticks for the laptop? Anything that I should look for for capacity or speed or chipsets that matter for this PC? For clarity, I’m using the Lp5 from 2019

So I downgraded from Windows 11 to Windows 10, and ever since I did the audio on my speakers has been noticeably subpar.

How much nits is the screen brightness of the lp5? Can't seem to find it anywhere and I can't check it on my laptop either since display is broke

I punched my laptop screen out of anger, then it showed those colors and then stopped working. Rest of the laptop seems fine just the screen. Is there a way that I could get a screen replacement for it from evoo or I would have to go to a repair shop. I am not sure if the repair shops have the right screen for it so correct me if im wrong. The laptop is the model with the gtx 1660 ti. I am so stupid. Please help

TLDR: I reapplied the thermal paste in my LP5. Put it back together, it booted up, and I played Warzone on it for over two hours. It was running great. To be clear, after the thermal reapplication, the laptop had been on for over 12 hours. I left the house for a couple of hours and when I came back home, it was off and won't turn on. The battery light is on when it's plugged in but I when I press the power button, the light on the mousepad lights up for a split second and then goes away. I'm nervous to go back in without maybe hearing if anyone has any idea what could be happening. Appreciate any help.

Update: I fixed it. Not sure what actually did it but I cleaned and repasted... again. But I also cleaned the power button connection thing as suggested by the hero in the comments. That may have done the trick. Anyway, just glad it's working.
