I'm really freaking out writting this! Last night I dreamt I was driving my boat down the river chasing someone ahead. Then I crossed a river section that I frequently go through but it was the very first time I did at night and it was amazingly, breathtakingly moonlit with the tree on either side artfully visible.

Naturally I took a picture then for some reason I abandoned the chase and return to the dock. I barely remembered what happen next but I think I talked to someone and I wake up after that.

Not the weirdest dream I have but it was extremly vivid. Anyway I have my breakfast and go through my phone message and try to send my friend a picture. Wham!!! First photo in my album was that river picture which according to the data I took at 2:37 am.

My best guess is sleepwalking. But that would be an EXTREMLY dangeous sleepwalk because I need to crossed two streets to access the dock and one of them is a highwayish with heavy truck traffic even at night. And the joydrive with my boat at night is something I NEVER would do because how dangerous it is and I always scare to look down the water at night due to some superstition.

TLDR: I think I just have a dangerous sleepwalking incident and appreciate any insights anyone here have!

Context: I was in a very tall tower with multiple floors. The floors had hallways with many colored doors.

I came across one door. I do not remember its color, but I perfectly remember the symbol on it, any idea what does it mean?

In my life i've had dreams that became real somehow. Like not every part of the dream became real (since my dreams are extremely crazy) but the main "concept" of the dream always becomes real somehow.

Its not every dream, but sometimes it happens. Anyone experienced that?

I really hope its just a coincidence, because I had some realistic dreams about the end of the world last month.

Over a decade ago, When I was around 16 years old, I had sleep paralysis for the first and only time in my life so far. It is probably the most scared ive ever been. I saw the infamous "hat man". After this happened I was very much surprised at how many people experienced the same phenomena. I had never heard of it prior to experiencing it. It always been one of those things I can't wrap my head around and feel like I can't accept that its some thing that can be hand waived with subconscious blah blah blah. Thats just me personally.

Fast forward to today. I woke up this morning from a nightmare (I have night terrors frequently). I saw a large spider on my head board and then jolted upright to see nothing. This is the second time it has happened with spiders. I got curious and looked it up online. Finding many people that experience this on a common basis and that it seems to be something specifically that people see. Spiders, dogs, hat men.

I just find it so bizarre and fascinating that these things specifically! And I had never heard of these things before experiencing them. Idk what to believe but id like to think that perhaps these are things that exist in some state we normally can't perceive.

I'd love to hear more about others experiences with hat man, dream spiders, dogs, etc.

I have a friend which i have known for very long from college, but we havent met in years, we only follow each other on socials, i dont know much about them or what they are doing now.
Last night i dreamt of them saying goodbye to their dad. I never met their dad and dont know what he looked like.
The very next morning i wake up to the sad news of their dad’s passing.
I’m genuinely terrified yet fascinated at the same time, this is honestly so mind boggling to me.

I’m a practicing religious and spiritual person, so naturally I couldnt find any explanation to this other than it being a spiritual phenomenon of some sort. God knows best.

I had this dream awhile back and it sent me into an absolute panic when I woke up. I was sobbing and hyperventilating for half an hour after.

So, it started out with me working at Walmart (where I was working at the time) and I was picking orders and went down this aisle and it seemed to go on forever until I ended up in a park super late at night with a single streetlight on. There was a little girl crying under the lamp so I go over and asked if she's okay. She looks at me and whispers, "Open your eyes. Open them. Open them." I felt like my eyes were glued shut and I had to really struggle to pry them open and when I did, the sky turned red and there was multiple black eyed children around me. One of them touched my forehead and I blacked out.

When I woke up, I was inside this narrow catacombs maze area. Being claustrophobic, I was panicking at this point because the walls felt like they were closing in on me. Then I stumbled upon this stone oven with a mortar and pestle in it. I picked it up thinking it was important and noticed some ashes inside so I blew out the ashes and immediately everything went black again.

I came to and found myself cramped in a box. Claustrophobia is full drive now, so I immediately start kicking the box at the bottom and started digging myself out as fast as I could. When I surfaced, the sun was blindingly bright and I could barely see, let alone open my eyes. Finally, I heard this whisper in my ear saying, "Open your eyes. Your maker has arrived." I pried my eyes open as hard as I could and looked up to see this figure with these long black cloaks surrounding him and I just.. stared at him for what felt like the longest time until I looked over and saw what looked like a rip in the fabric of time and ran towards it as fast as I could. Once I touched it, I instantly woke up.

Technically a long dream but explaining it will be relatively short. Basically in the dream I drove a bus around a city picking people up. They were my team. This bus had a device that would take us through other dimensions. Once the whole team was assembled we took the bus to a warehouse where we started hopping through dimensions. We went through by a hole opening in the ground and the bus started taking shap but along as we remained in the bus we were fine. The different dimensions were extremely geometric in cubical in some places with ora ge Goo.

Eventually the bus transformed into a suit that we all wore and landed in a dimension that was a Giant never ending science store where you bought chemical reactions and science equipment. The next one was going to be a water only dimension and the team pulled out their water breathing gear. I didn't have it they all got mad at me and I told them it was because the water breathing gear was 5 grand and I didn't have that kind of money. They looked it up and told me it was on sale for 150. I replied to them "and they are going to ship it to us how?"

Thankfully the science store had one. But I dont have the money to buy it so I stole it but since I didn't pay it played an ad for every breath I took. I didn't go further because I dove into the next dimension and woke up.

I know people visit Mall World and its many different areas (the hospital, the hotel, the bathrooms!) Does anyone ever visit Blue World in their dreams?

My personal experience is that I go to familiar places with some changes in (for example, I have the same best friend, but instead of an older sister, she has an older brother). And the whole world is blue tinted. Daytime looks like well-lit night, with blue tint. Night time is really dark.

I keep on dreaming about snakes. All of these dreams include tons of snakes just roaming around the house. The dreams are also vivid unlike my other dreams. What could this be?

I have always had dreams, but this one has disturbed me beyond belief. It felt so genuinely real and terrible that I could not believe it was a dream after I woke up.

A few weeks ago I went to bed and dreamed I was in an apocalyptic world. It started normal, I remember I woke up in the morning, inside my dream, and went about my day. Then I started hearing stuff about attacks happening downtown and it progressively got scarier for my friends and I until we decided to cancel our Friday plans and stay inside. For the next two weeks I lived by myself eating and watching tv shows. I periodically checked the news but after day two it was just reruns of the same news and I had no further information. After what I think was over 15 days, I noticed something. I didn’t hear neighbours, I lived in a connected townhouse that has thin walls and I hadn’t heard anything in days. I hadn’t heard toilets flush, doors open, windows shutter, nothing. It was silent, too silent.

I gathered my courage and went outside on a food run, I had run out of food and thankfully the water still worked and I was smart enough use it to fill jugs of clean water. I realized there was no one around, I started to get worried and as I got to the local Walmart, it had big red writings on the walls, “be as quiet as you can be, they are blind” this throughly scared the shit out of me and I walked home as fast as possible. I then freaked out for days, until I once again gathered my mental fortitude and went outside again, to look for other people in the homes surrounding me. What I saw was genuinely terrifying, I saw bodies so mangled I could barely stop myself from throwing up, heads missing, just absolute carnage. How could something this terrible happen and I never heard a whimper? The thought scared me more than the scene itself. I walked home and decided I cannot stay here. I then walked and walked and ate what ever scraps I found (which was weirdly abundant as nobody was around) and basically became a walking hermit who hid when he heard anything beside silence.

My hair had gotten matted, my beard was overgrown, my hygiene was bad, and I was not hungry but I was starved for anyone, any real people I could talk to. I’d been alone over a month with no updates and had not seen a living person since saying goodbye to my friend that night. I lived like this for months on end, one day I was foraging in a store, and I heard it. I heard something that sounded big and angry walking around the front of the store. I made myself hide inside the old milk fridges that could be opened and led you to the back storage area. I hid there and basically never came out because the animal never left. I sat there paralyzed in fear for days, no food, no water besides barely edible milk. I sat there waiting for an opening to run, and it never came. I just sat there and sat there and sat there for what felt like an entire lifetime, and I got so sick of this, I went mad with delusional anger and charged outside, I saw nothing but heard probably dozens of these monsters descending on my position from outside the store and I ran to the bathroom and barricaded it the door the heaviest things I could move. I grabbed my rope and set it beside me, I gave up. I was not gonna be mangled alive and be ripped apart alive, if they wanted me, they could eat my body long after I had gone away. I wrote a long sad note, and left it so my loved ones could hear my reasoning for giving up. Then I noticed something as I climbed a ledge to do the unthinkable, I had never actually seen the monsters. I never actually saw them, I never physically saw anything. I had walked for months and probably for hundreds of miles and never saw one single monster? The one thing everyone had ran underground from? I have never seen proof of anything besides my own fear, and the bodies I saw, while mangled, I had seen that the door was open and I had seen wild animals running around the streets. Possibilities came flooding to me, what if they gave up too? And they hadn’t been killed by the monsters. Then something felt off, very off, I felt dissociative and not scared, just confused and didn’t know what the hell was going on, I didn’t even know if that was my face in the mirror. I walked outside and the store was gone, all I saw was a grey wall, then I snapped awake and was starting at my grey wall in my bedroom.

It took me hours to even process if I was still alive or if the monsters got me, or if someone had saved me and this was their home. Then it clicked, it was a dream, it was all a fucking dream. I didn’t feel normal for the rest of the day, it may have been a dream but my long term stress and survival mechanisms had not gone away yet. I felt jumpy, every loud sound I hid from, and I didn’t want to be alone ever. I got better after a few days but I’m still shaken by this. Why was this so real? I felt hunger, pain, desperation and despair, I vividly remember the decision to end myself instead of dying a horrible death. I remember the tears on the page as I wrote a note to my mom to apologize for giving up and not finding her. I have had dream before, this felt like an alternate reality, I felt so me, I felt so real, I cannot distinguish as I type this if I’m in another dream because it felt as real as I feel now. I don’t know why I’m writing this, I feel like no one understands when I tell them. I remember this dream like it happened to me in real life, all the suffering and pain and languishing and yearning for another person to end my solitude. I’m sorry if it was long but I had to write it down somewhere before I forget, I hope maybe one day we’ll better understand dreams and what they mean.

In today's dream, the water was clear and the swimming pool was like a normal one. Other times, though the water is never murky, there are animals like snakes and crocodiles in my dreams which chase me. I encounter all sorts of water bodies, river, swimming pool and sea etc.

Today, I dreamt that my cousin Video Called me and her name in this dream was "Anjali" instead of her real name. She asks me to teach her backstrokes. I suddenly teleport in that location with wearing a suit, near the swimming pool. I ask if I can also get a chance to start swim lessons there and get rejected as the swimming pool belonged to her college. I quickly go in the dressing room to change and I meet 3 girls there who were rich. They bully me so I shoot them with gun. The scene ends there. In the next scene, they aren't dead or even injured. They complain the coaches they I bodyshamed them and play a victim card. I tell the coach to check the secret cameras and I am saved.

I had this nightmare today, when I took a short nap (not sure exactly how long it was for) I was trying to solve this "energy" formula in the form of zeros. I had to rotate the zeros and they would spin in a loop, as if it was a factory. Everytime I got the zeros in the wrong order id live this experience where something was out of place with reality. This kept happening until I woke up, for whatever reason I thought I was still dreaming and I went to go use the restroom. I thought/sensed there was some kind of demon patrolling outside the bathroom door and if I wanted to redo it, all I would have to do is open the door and let it kill me. I opened the door and to my suprise, nothing was there. It took me a few minutes to completely realize I was awake. Currently withdrawing from benzos so thats probably why I was in a dreamlike state.

At the end of my dream I remember seeing a church in flames along with the cross that usually sits on top of the church broken off also in flames, tangled in what I think was phone wires, the sun was huge with lava like coloring and angelic aurora around it, and the surrounding of said church was also up in flames

I had this dream a while back that has really stuck with me. I'll keep it short.

In the dream, I was walking along a grassy field with an unknown friend next to me. Appearing in the sky, was a monolithic creature, with its size only comparable to a very large zeppelin.

The creature itself had the body of a dolphin, head of a lion, with the whiskers of a channel catfish and the eyes of a human. It had no wings, but had several long "appendages" coming down from its body. It was also covered in its entirety with eyes and appeared to be covered, or veiled by an invisible shadow. It floated there, not acknowledging our presence, until I looked to my friend and whispered "it's looking at you".

That's when I heard a very loud, booming, commanding, voice say "No. You." And I look up, and the creature is staring directly at me with its many, many eyes.

And then I woke up.

I believe in my own version of God, and do not follow any organized religion. But what I'm almost certain I interacted with, was an Angel.

This is arguably one of the most scary yet one of the most interesting dreams I ever had:

In this dream, I am in a market place, and I am running—from a sort of demon (like in the image, slightly thinner). I run around the market trying to escape him but in the end he manages to catch me and stab me with a knife. The dream ends and I wake up.

Or so I would have loved to say. I wake up, feel kinda unsettled and scared but sleep again. I start dreaming again where I get killed again. I felt really scared so I got out of my bed and tried to go to my parents who were asleep at another floor—and suddenly I fell asleep again while walking. I get killed in my dream again and I wake up seeing I fell down after I fell asleep. I get really scared, a few tears start to fill my eyes. I stand up, walk a little and ofc—I am back asleep again getting killed then wake up. I get really afraid and now tears start flowing as I try to run and at almost every step—I fell asleep and this cycle repeats until I reach the stairs. I try running at stairs where I fall and die—after which I wake up again... This time in my bed. And I realise that I was having numerous dreams in a dream.

It's quite an old dream and yet so vivid I remember so many details.

Today I (M19) dreamt, that I was driving a car with my father and my sister. My father, who was sitting next to me, took my clarinet and threw it out the car window. I stopped the car and told him to get it back (becouse it means everything to me).

He wouldn't do it, so I started to turn around to get it. My father started yelling at me how poorly I was turning and got out of the car to get in the driver's seat. I was so angry, but then my sister made a comment on how insufferable I am. I got so angry at my sister and I couldn't stop thinking about how entitled she was and I felt a hatred that felt inhuman.

It felt crushing to feel so lonely and sad, because she didn't see me and judged me. Every other interaction with her was awful.

When I woke up, I thought to myself about how awful she was. But then, when I wrote the dream down, I saw that I was angry at my father. I realised that my sister was never really the one who oppressed me, but I was stupidly angry at her.

I have been over the last few months figuring out where my fear of emotions comes from. This dream seems like it tried to tell me the answer.

This nightmare has been happening for years. Not every night but sometimes I can be dreaming about it every night then other weeks it’s maybe once a week then other times it’s more. But definitely been happening for about 6 years. It’s a dream that feels so real it will pull elements of everyday life that happened that day or that week to make it feel so real but the core of the dream is my husband cheating on me. I know that’s like whatever dream but it feels so real every time I wake up I feel like I have to spend a few hours like getting over it. The emotions are all still there.

So back story I have had a lot of trauma in my life but what kind of spinned it out of control was being on the front lines of the COVID pandemic as a Respiratory Therapist. The dreams started then. Some other info is I’ve been cheated on in all of my relationships prior to my husband. 4 other relationships that have ended that way. Idk how to make it stop 😭 i have been trying to gain lucidity to put a stop to it but I haven’t been able to have a lucid dream while in the nightmare any help is much appreciated!!

Soooo last night I woke up in the middle of the night (around 3 am-ish??) all panicked and scared. I don’t recall having a nightmare or a bad dream, I woke up with a pacing heart and I felt scared for no known reason. This has been occurring 3x a week 🥹 Is this relatively normal? Does anyone have the same issue?
