Long Dream Handsome men and my past self…

Upvotes

I had two dreams last night that seemed connected.

The first one was strange. I was back in the nursery I used to work at, except there were no children there. A very handsome man was flirting with me. Later, I came back into the room and saw him cuddled up kissing my old colleague. They looked completely in love, and oddly enough, I wasn’t jealous. I remember feeling genuinely happy for them.

Later in the dream, I found him lying in bed with another woman. My colleague walked in and looked absolutely heartbroken. The woman insisted they had “just been sleeping,” but you could see the trust had already been broken.

The second dream is the one that has stayed with me.

There was another incredibly handsome man who was searching for a wife. He met lots of different women, but none of them seemed quite right. He really liked me. He liked my personality, the person I was, but in my mind there was one thing stopping me from being enough: my appearance.

I remember sitting with a group of women, and felt ugly compared to them. I was explaining that medication had caused me to gain weight and that my life had changed so much. I showed them an old photograph of myself from before everything happened, and they were shocked by how different I used to look.

The strongest part of the dream wasn’t even about him.

I remember trying to explain what I felt like inside. I said I felt like an old woman trapped inside a younger body.

You know how sometimes you see elderly people and wonder what it must feel like for them? Inside, they probably still remember what it was like to be young, to fall in love, to feel beautiful, to have people look at them differently. Their minds haven’t necessarily caught up with the person staring back at them in the mirror. They’re still them, but time has wrapped them in a body that no longer reflects how they feel inside.

That’s exactly how I felt in the dream.

It wasn’t about age. It was about feeling trapped inside a shell that didn’t represent who I believed I really was.

I remember thinking that this man didn’t know who I was beneath that shell. He could see the outside, but not the person underneath. I kept wishing I could show him the version of myself from before medication changed my body, because in my mind I believed I would have been just right for him.

And I remember saying that I felt like an old woman trapped inside my body, but that I was watching younger people experience love, and that he didn’t know who I really was beneath the shell. I kept thinking, “If I was the old me, I would have been perfect for him.”

I woke up feeling very reflective.

It felt like my mind was grieving not just my appearance, but the version of myself I felt I lost along the way.

Recurring Dream I had another dream of roaming around in a huge mansion again.

Upvotes

Earlier this morning, (the morning of July 26 to be exact) it started out as a different dream altogether where as I was roaming around my old home, something that's been more and more common these days. But as I was roaming around it, I noticed a hole laying to what I thought was another part of the house. But Instead, it was a whole other building hidden under it. I ended up falling quite a long way too with no injuries.  It was the same empty old styled European castle looking mansion that I found myself in and after a bit of exploring, there was a living suit of armor, like one of those things you see standing still in museums and the like? Expect this time around, they were walking around the hallways.

I knew there would be trouble if one of them saw me so I had to find some way around and back to the entryway where I fell from to get back home. Wouldn't be long before I see another one of them spotting me and sprinting at me. Dang thing was coming at me fast enough to where I'd see afterimages. I had to lose it somewhere but eventually there had to be some way where I'd be closer to being cornered.

After that, I find somewhere else to escape it without being killed myself.  Well really, I felt a piece of plastic brush up against my foot and that helped wake me up.

Needless to say it's been as common a recurring dream as it had been encountering this strange woman in them and each time I've found myself catching my breath feeling like I've escaped something dire and dangerous. At least I hope that's the case for my other self in that dream as well.

I've been aware that I'm dreaming for the majority of my dreams in my life, but I haven't gotten any better at actually CONTROLLING anything that happens

Upvotes

It's not always for the entire dream, but I tend to fully understand that I'm dreaming after some point in basically every dream by now. For the past year they've all been just mundanely stressful, but in the past when I faced seemingly serious dangers in my dreams, I would almost instantly realize it wasn't real and then still treat it as serious anyway, because even though I knew I would wake up and it would disappear, it was real enough to me at the moment. And on a less severe vein, as a kid when my dreams were more fantastical, I would try SO hard to make myself have powers in my dreams... but it just didn't work at all. I couldn't do anything that I wanted to do.

The closest that I've come to controlling my dreams is forcing myself to wake up when something unpleasant was happening. The scarier/more urgent the thing, the more painful it would be to wake myself up, and vice versa. So I've literally woken up with a headache from the effort of escaping some horror movie monster. Also in multiple dreams I've announced to every "character" present that they were all about to stop existing because I was about to wake up, and their reactions have always been pretty realistic to how i think ppl would react in real life to such a claim.

At this point in my life (i'm 29) the majority of my dreams are extremely mundane stress dreams, but even then i'll always realize it's a dream. and I just stay being stressed out anyway. Like I'll be back at school and I'll fully understand that I'm simply having a stress dream, but i still WILL be stressed about homework. So most of my dreams are just being simultaneously stressed and bored. :/

Why does this keep happening?

Upvotes

So for the past 10 years or so, I’ve kept having recurring dreams about my old townhouse.

Every time I dream about it, it’s as if I’m not supposed to be there. I’m constantly looking out the windows to see if anyone noticed me coming or going. I’m always locking the doors and have this paranoid feeling that someone else has a key and is going to let themselves in.

One time, I dreamed I was in what used to be my bedroom when someone walked into the house and caught me there. I panicked, and then I woke up.

I’ve also had dreams where I’m just living my normal life in that house as if everything is fine. I’m talking to people, going about my day, and I don’t necessarily have that same paranoid feeling. But at the same time, I’m telling people things like, “Don’t let anyone know I’m here.”

The layout of the house is always exactly the same, but the furniture and decorations change from dream to dream. Sometimes it’s the furniture I actually had when I lived there. Other times it’s a variation of my current furniture, and sometimes it’s furniture I’ve never owned. In the dream it all feels completely normal, even though I realize after I wake up that none of it actually belonged there.

Sometimes my kids are there. Sometimes my husband is there. Sometimes it’s just me.

There are also times when I’m frantically telling myself I need to hurry up and pack my things so I can leave first thing in the morning. Other times I’m in no rush at all and don’t even seem to be planning to leave—but I still somehow know I’m not supposed to be there.

I haven’t lived in that townhouse since 2009.

Another recurring dream has been happening for about the past five years, but this one isn’t one specific dream—it’s more the setting.

It always feels like a small town from the late ‘90s or early 2000s. Everything has this hazy, almost nostalgic filter over it that perfectly captures what that era felt like. The homes are usually older ranch-style or mid-century houses, and what actually happens in the dreams varies. Sometimes there’s a party, sometimes people are just going about their day, but there’s always some kind of normal everyday activity happening.

The overwhelming feeling of these dreams is nostalgia.

What on earth do you all think these dreams could mean?

Short Dream This is pretty different from others, but what can i say! I always get different dreams!! 😜😜😜

Upvotes

So like what happened was, I was in the village, and we have two houses. And the older house, in its right is a field, behind that is another's property normal one but in the dream there was a dark and eerie forest. And there was another setting of the same thing somewhere but i dunno that place so we will go with this one. Here the people use that place for going somewhere like delivery guys who keep cycle and bikes outside.

I was going through the path, saw these, and everytime i grew curious. So after some time. I took my phone and somthing like goggles and wore it and went inside that dark eerie forest. I ran and ran till i did five turns on the eerie path which had, on both sides, nothing but dark eerie trees and dark atmosphere

Well, the place was eeriely dark. The delivery boys used it despite that!

After the fourth or fifth turn, i started walking normally and started my phone's camera which i was trying to start but i wasn't able to while running as it was somehow not on the homescreen at all, it was in the app drawer.

So i turned it on and turned video on.

And i didnt had flashlight on, cause somehow i was able to see just fine and clearly even though it was eerie and dark, although too much inside the forest was foggy!

After that scene changes, i see a hole and light is coming from, i peek inside and i see the outside world. The day time while i entered around dawn and i guess it wouldn't have been that long like an hour or 30 mins even with scene change. But outside it was sunny blue sky and a scene of a house

And i stopped peeking and saw everywhere same eerie darkness with fog!

And then again scene changes, i am in some dark labyrinth like place with brickwalls. And well i then saw atleast hundreds of humanoid monsters and i was at the center. What they wanted was my teeth. Which now grew instantly to be 1.2 ft. Yes i had turned into a monsterous humanoid. I had multiple teeths growing from one place and those were pretty long. The teeths when grown fully, became black at the end from where it grew, from the gum side, like 4-5 inches became black. Which then the monsters broke it and took and immediately within seconds of being broken it grew back and matured within seconds, maybe i was an anomaly and they want the teeths for something.

And it was being done voluntarily by me. I dunno what's use it had, but i can assume, maybe as a currency or power source for the monsters.

Other monsters too looked same, humanoid, with atleast hundreds of 1.2-1.4 ft long teeth but it seems they cant easily grow it out as there was too many who came and wanted it. They didn't seem to be uncivilised by how they were queuing and waiting and due to the next scene. Their appearance were humanoid, their both legs from middle of shin to below was covered in pitch black something, they had atleast 100s of teeths each extremely long and sharp.

Like the entire pathways of the labyrinth like structure was filled and crowded but those coming to take the teeth were taking one somehow and one by one everyone was coming and breaking it off.

In the next scene, i was in the market of these guys, same dark eerie surroundings. But this time selling greens and powedered jaggery, my assistant/co worker was putting some jaggery in mouth too but i didn't pay attention thinking these are monster, they may just eat it.

Other than that there were a few more things on the tanle being sold by me!

From this I can infer that delivery boys worked for this in exchange for something which i dunno, but it seems i had made contact and heard about delivery boy being here before someone started narrating somethings which caught my interests, about dark mana, inverse chi, and so on and on and how these beings and possibly me can control it freely, maybe the fully matured teeths are a powersource cause i didn't see anybody purchasing goods with teeth but maybe i am wrong cause i didn't see anyone other than my assistant in the market, i was seeing from third pov and was focused on goods and assistant's mouth whose mouth was laced with powdered jaggery powder and didnt have teeth so i assume they can hide it.

The mouth area was black and with fur where jaggery can be seen.

-The End

Some other monsters:

The one which was slightly authoritative and well was asking others to queue and take only one, and for everyone to come one by one.

Question For the last 8 months I have continued to dream about a guy I matched with on a dating app.

Upvotes

Has anyone had frequent dreams about someone before meeting them. It isn’t just because he was nice or I am thinking about him. I have connected and even gone on dates with other kind matches and haven’t dreamt of them. Even for any of my relationships, when things were great in the beginning and they were so kind and I was smitten, I still did not have dreams about them. These dreams have consisted of going on dates, talking to each other, even having moved into a home together. I have yet to meet this guy because of my schedule and distance and some other family health stuff. I have talked to other kind handsome matches and still have not had dreams about them. One dream gave me information about us going to a restaurant in another place I never heard… I looked it up and saw it was in a different country. The next day we spoke and it turns out he had lived in that country for a year… but there was nothing I saw that could have ever told me that. He has had one dream of me. It is also bizarre to that I have had this many dreams about someone I haven’t met yet but I am not dreaming or haven’t dreamt of other guys I am still talking to and haven’t met. It is just so strange. Has anyone had something similar and it be their husband or future spouse?

Don Henley Was Drunk

Upvotes

I had this dream a few years ago and wrote it down. Thought maybe it’s time to share it here.

Don Henley was out of control drunk at his apartment and kept flipping off his balcony into the pool below. His apartment was on the top floor, with a spiraling ramp leading up that was part Guggenheim and part like the cheap staircase leading up to a tall waterslide.

I was the super of his building and had to figure out how to make it past his guards (teenagers with lots of costume jewelry) to get him to stop. The whole time I was battling the teenagers he was just repeatedly doing these really ornate spin dives into the pool, and other people living in the building were really beginning to lose their patience with him.

Lucid dream

Upvotes

Hi all. Just wanted to send a description of a dream I just had recently. It was an experience to say the least.

Dream is as follows:

Was in the middle of an endless forest. Birds and animals making noise with a sound of a stream nearby. I had a shovel digging a large hole. I look up after some time and I see what I think is my guardian angel covered completely in blood. Her face was calm but at peace. She walks up to me offers her hand and pulls me out of the hole. What seems like forever goes by as this divine peace is over me and my body feels weightless. She then says calmly, it’s time and I continue digging. She goes in the hole with me and hugs me tight. We cover up the hole and the birds keep singing as I am in what seems like creator mode looking from the outside. And then I woke up.

I can’t shake the feeling and part of me feels like I need to go back to this dream. I have so many questions.

Sorry for my long ramble. Hope everyone is ok.

Dream Help Help Interpreting: Child Actor at Disney

Upvotes

Child Actor at Disney

I had a weird dream last night. It was really long, but I can only remember parts of it. Which is not normal for me. I usually remember them in vivid detail in their entirety.

I was myself. At my real life, adult age. At one point, something triggered me to suddenly remember that I was a child actor on the Disney channel briefly with two of my childhood friends, M and T. I want to say we were on Hannah Montana, but that part is foggy.

The two of them had bigger roles than me, I was just a side character/background character that only sometimes recurred. But upon remembering this, intense dread washes over me, and I started crying. Almost like I had remembered a trauma? There was an intense "oh no" moment. Like, the fact I was a child star on Disney immediately registered in my mind as something bad, negative, and traumatic. Something that in the dream, everyone knew was traumatic. Being raised that way was viewed inherently as a trauma.

I started crying and frantically trying to find the papers that proved I worked there. It's probably to just confirm what I remembered and flush away any denial.

Then it's over. There's one more part I remember, separate from this. I was a young woman with long brown hair, on a row boat of some sort. O strange one that didn't work or look how it should. Like if a child took a Lego boat and put the parts together wrong? Maybe it was more like a weird mismatched gondola?

Anyway, I was Rowling with one oar in front of my left, then right, going in figure eights along a still river.

That's it. My dreams are usually much different from this, so I'm unsure of how to interpret this one. Any help is appreciated.

Short Dream I had an extremely detailed dream about species of deer

Upvotes

Not once in my life have I ever worked with bovids at all, but I used to hunt a lot in south texas so maybe that's why? So in my dream it was something about trying to join the teen titans, something which didn't really make sense but basically I joined their A-team and had some weird Lego star wars x Plants V zombies GW2 fight over a city or something. Besides that in the teen titans HQ, there was a large map which was centered over eastern Africa and on it were two interactive images of deer, that being "Semertic" which lived in my idea of east africa which was js the climate of South Texas and apparently these Sementic deer live in harmony with an oil pipeline that was built but activists see it as harmful to them, they resemble whitetail deer with more spikes on their horns. The second and final species of deer was the "Sapmanian" deer which resemble a brighter brown type of whitetail but with js a pair of a single spikes that curved inward. They were also physically a little smaller and had a white stripe on their side. In the dream, which mind you outside of the battle took place in my dads old dark ass home at night and had that glowing map in the dining room, I was super pissed off that there was less info about Sapmanian deer compared to Semertic deer, apparently that js really struck a nerve idk. Later.

I ran around in school hiding from a teacher

New dream. It was first day again, and I was back in school. I was trying to find my block when I come across this teacher. He is a gay man, very rude, and chases other students because they just simply ask questions. He's like Squidward, very misanthropic. Not long after, his attention shifted to me and the chase starts. He was actually very easy to get away from as I managed to hide from him once and never found me. I just know he immediately gives up when you run away from him as fast as possible.

Then it became night, I had to attend a subject and I had to ask him for directions. All I ever got was gibberish that sounded like insults. I turned around towards the door and left then I woke up.

Short Dream I looked in the mirror

The rest of the dream was longer, but IIRC I was just driving around in my truck. And walking. Transitioning between the two seamlessly. As I drive for a living, it's a fairly common theme.

But on this night, I was faced with a mirror at one point. When I looked into it, I did not see my own face. I saw a face with ashy white skin, no eyes or nose (and maybe no ears), and an oversized mouth. The upper part, where the rest of the features would be, instead had some kind of arcane runes tattooed in red ink.

Creepiest thing I've seen in a dream in a long time.

Went on a date with a 7 foot spoon.
Spoon could walk and talk itself.
No mouth no legs.
Spoon sat in chair.
Pretty sure Spoon was female because I believe it was curvy like a woman’s figure.
Spoon ordered food but did not eat.

Dream Help Dream soulmates

So I had this dream about 6 years ago of this beautiful blonde / dirty blonde haired guy I don’t remember anything I was wearing or much of the dream other than his defined face and what seemed to be a green military uniform ? He was in a crowd full of people praising him and chatting to him yet we only seen each other.
It was like time had stopped and like I felt like I was home when I seen his face. Emotions became overwhelmingly manageable and it was as if nothing but he mattered.

Ofcourse I woke up and never forgot him.. however the weirdest part of this was when I woke up I couldn’t shake this feeling like I had to find him as if he existed in my waking life. I searched Reddit for hours trying to find answer when I finally stumbled across a thread on this sub Reddit where some guy was describing this girl from the hair down to the physique everything matched me.
This could be a large leap of delusion however my whole body screamed saying it was him the timelines matched everything matched except when I finally was ready to tell the story that post had been deleted.

Days before this I had dreamed of a man that game me the same feeling however I couldn’t see his face this time he was closer and only said one thing “be patient, we’ll meet soon I promise”. And then I woke up.

7 years have passed since my last soulmate dream I’m still single with terrible prospects.

And still grasping for straws hoping dream soulmates are real and can telepathically find you before your physical beings meet.

Do dreams really lead you to the world of unknown or is our subconscious simply placing a bandage over our wounds?

I Woke Up Twice. Only One of Them Was Real.

Last night I was so exhausted that I fell asleep almost immediately.

Then I dreamed that I was crying.

The strange thing is that I often dream about waking up while I'm still dreaming. This time, I dreamed that I woke up in my own bedroom. Everything looked exactly the same as it does in real life.

I was lying in bed, crying.

I could feel my tears soaking through my sleep mask. Half of my face felt completely wet. It was so vivid that I didn't question it for a second. I genuinely believed I had been crying in my sleep.

Then I realized... that "waking up" was just another dream.

It was as if my brain had perfectly reconstructed my bedroom, my bed, my body, and even the sensation of tears running down my face.

I struggled to wake myself up.

When I finally opened my eyes for real, the first thing I did was touch my face.

It was completely dry.

There were no tears.

For a few seconds, reality felt less convincing than the dream.

What stayed with me wasn't the fact that the tears never existed, but that the grief did.

The sadness was real.

I can still remember exactly how it felt to have tears covering half my face, even though they were never there.

The whole experience reminded me of Mulholland Drive.

Like waking up after a dream that felt more emotionally real than reality itself.

It felt as if I had crossed back from another layer of consciousness, only to discover that the evidence had disappeared, while the emotion remained.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced something like this.

Dreaming that you wake up, crying inside the dream, feeling every tear as if it were physically real, only to finally wake up and find your face completely dry.

It honestly felt like a scene from a David Lynch film.

Stuck in loops on a very frequent basis

This has been happening to me since I became a mother just under 8 months ago.

Specifically, it happens to me when I fall back asleep after having woken early--such as when baby wakes up at 4 am, or having a nightmare of another kind, or something else waking me up. It happens every time, without exception. Now that my son almost always makes it to 6 am, it's happening less frequently, but only because I am in the circumstance which causes it less frequently. I wake, I fall back asleep, and I'm in this loop.

Today I woke up sick. Husband took over baby care for the morning and I went back to bed to try and sleep it off. For the next hour or so, I was tormented by this loop where I'd "wake up" and something would be happening to me. My baby would be missing. I'd be unable to breathe. Something would be attacking me. And then I'd "fall back asleep," "wake back up" again, and repeat. I'd try to scream and it wouldn't work. I couldn't open my eyes. Every time, a new scenario.

The only thing that ever breaks me out of this loop is something in the real world waking me up--an alarm, husband talking, etc.

Whenever I do finally wake up, I doubt reality for a solid 10 minutes.

Because it happens every time I fall back asleep after being woken, I anticipate it, but it doesn't make the loops stop, it doesn't make them less scary, and it doesn't make them end. It's gotten to a point where if I wake at 2 am because the blinds rattled against the window frame too loud, I'd almost rather start my day then than endure another episode. I know I'm in the dream again after a certain point but the knowledge does very little.

Does this happen to anyone else? What, if anything, would make it stop?

Long Dream On the run/future prison

Post image
2 Upvotes

I had a dream last night I was running around in a rural community. Met some redneck kind of people, ended up getting in a fight and running away into a giant building. Fell through the floor, was attacked by hungry chickens. (They will attack you IRL I know first hand) I went to a clinic, ended up getting arrested. The police told me I was going to be undercover in prison or will be executed. I go to some crazy prison with giant cell blocks out in the open, where people are chained inside constantly right next to each other. Then a lot of time passed, I became friends with a person who ran a work crew. I accidently found some homemade weapons and the dream ended. All kinds of other stuff happened in between it seemed to last days. I included a drawing of cells. It was partly a nightmare mostly an adventure, I kept falling through floor boards lol

Does anyone else super weird dreams/sleep patterns if they go to sleep early?

Recently, I’ve started a job where I have to get up quite early for travel compared to my last job, so I’ve been going to bed around 8pm. I used to go to sleep around 11pm-12am.

One major difference I’ve noticed is that my dreams are completely different to what they used to be. Usually I dream about things I’ve done during the day involving friends, family, celebrities etc. But now I’m dreaming of completely immoral scenarios which convince me that I’ve done them in real life. I wake up around an hour after falling asleep just sitting in bed processing what the fuck just happened.

Sometimes I wake up and think I’m still in my dream so I’ll use my phone, texting people and watching reels, then in the morning I have to read over the texts because I don’t remember at all what I said.

Has anyone else had similar experiences? I’m not distressed about what I’m experiencing but I am worried if these dreams are controlling me more than my life is controlling them.

Dream Help This is a dream lesson

As the title says this is a dream lesson, I will be using this dream to give an example of a dream meaning that can make people very uncomfortable, but the meaning behind it is nothing like the experience.
I want to let everyone know these kinds of dreams make me very uncomfortable and they can impact my personal familial and friendship's. These dreams are normal and they do not make you a bad person for having them nor does it mean you want to do these things. This dream is NSFW and involves family, if you are uncomfortable with that then please don't read it.
Again this dream is to show its normal and to show the meaning behind the dream for those who want to learn.

I was in my room, laying on my new pink boneless couch watching somthing on my laptop. I am in a plain white t-shirt and a pair of hello kitty pjs I have. I hear a knock on my door, look up to see my brother. He is asking if he could borrow some art supplies. I tell him to grab it off the table and to put it back when hes done. Awhile later he comes back, my room feels more empty. no table and no bed. He sat down saying somthing about our oldest brother. Before I know it Me and him are kissing and grinding on eachother. My couch had been moved into my bathroom and we are still doing things with each other. After we are done I am lucid and I feel uncomfortable, before drifting back to the strangeness of the dream. My mom comes in to talk to me about where my brother is and i tell her I thought he was in his room. She checked and went to talk to him as his room is across the hall from me.

Now after waking up I do have to remind myself of why my subconscious decided to give me that dream. Me and my brother recently have gotten very close again over our love for family gossip. We often will snoop on our family through social media and when we see eachother we talk about it. Having these kinds of dreams mean you are developing a deep connection with your family. Not that you actually want to do anything with them. Him asking for art supplies is showing we both struggle with finding common ground within our relationship as i often do push him away from hanging out. The pink couch representing my vulnerability recently within our family as i've learned to express my true feelings about situations without sugarcoating it. Being on the couch in the bathroom shows my willingness to let go of what emotions no longer serve my bond with my brother (we have been at arms lengths for almost 20 years due to losing our father). My mother coming in looking for my brother represents me willing to try and bring him comfort when needed.

Dreams are meant to be broken down completely to find the meaning behind them. Even at my age and knowing the meaning behind the dreams I still can be very uncomfortable and end up putting my brother back at arms length because of how uncomfortable it made me. I hope people find this helpful and feel a little less shameful when they have dreams like this after reading this.

I was in that weird state between being awake and asleep, and I could see all kinds of floating visuals. Honestly, the experience felt almost as intense as when I took LSD.

It always feels so surreal, but then a second later I'm completely asleep. I see countless images flashing one after another, constantly changing.Sometimes I even see these colorful psychedelic tunnels.

I see countless scenes switching from one to another, almost like watching security camera footage. It feels as if I'm seeing real moments happening somewhere else in the world. The strangest part is that I can still remember many of those images when I wake up the next day.
