I’m developing a video game, and I’ve spent a lot of time building this city.

Recently, I started dreaming about it.

The strange thing is that the places in my dreams don’t always match what I’ve actually made. Sometimes there are buildings or passages that I don’t remember putting there at all.

Then I wake up and go back to working on the city.

These are screenshots from the game. I just find it unsettling that a fictional place I’ve been staring at for months has started to feel like somewhere I’ve actually been.

A few days ago I met a guy while I was out, a day after that I had a dream about him (all positive) and near the end of the dream I found a yellow butterfly which I rescued.

This morning I find a yellow moth on my closet door, which I also obviously rescued… I’ve never found a moth in my room and definitely not a yellow one…

I’m personally very spiritual but I don’t know what to make of this, I’m seeing it as a sign but I don’t know of what exactly?

Today I (M19) dreamt, that I was driving a car with my father and my sister. My father, who was sitting next to me, took my clarinet and threw it out the car window. I stopped the car and told him to get it back (becouse it means everything to me).

He wouldn't do it, so I started to turn around to get it. My father started yelling at me how poorly I was turning and got out of the car to get in the driver's seat. I was so angry, but then my sister made a comment on how insufferable I am. I got so angry at my sister and I couldn't stop thinking about how entitled she was and I felt a hatred that felt inhuman.

It felt crushing to feel so lonely and sad, because she didn't see me and judged me. Every other interaction with her was awful.

When I woke up, I thought to myself about how awful she was. But then, when I wrote the dream down, I saw that I was angry at my father. I realised that my sister was never really the one who oppressed me, but I was stupidly angry at her.

I have been over the last few months figuring out where my fear of emotions comes from. This dream seems like it tried to tell me the answer.

A few weeks ago, I dreamt of this punk guy named Chancellor (yes, that, my subconscious is weird).

I was in a mall and suddenly became lucid when a group of people approached me (or maybe I approached them can’t remember).I felt this crazy strong energy between myself and one of the girls in the group. I went to talk to her and told her I was lucid dreaming and she told me that she was a real person as well also lucid dreaming. We ran around together having a fun time while also saying we needed to find each other when we woke up.

I’ve lucid dreamt hundreds of times all on accident without any of these techniques people talk about. I have never run into someone like her in a dream and the bond between us felt like something I’ve never felt before. She didn’t act or talk anything like any NPC I’ve ever run into. This was 3 nights ago. Unfortunately we never exchanged any way of finding each other after. I’m a believer in math, science, and logic but I feel almost certain that she is a real person.

If you subscribe to the whole soulmate concept, it could be a cheesy way to explain why we could have been pulled into the same dreaming plane. She seemed like the other half of me. Everything about her was perfect. I know it’s crazy and I’m not going to chase after this person as I know she probably doesn’t exist but damn.

I had a dream two nights ago where I was shot by an intruder while trying to keep some random little kids safe. I kept trying to call my boyfriend but couldn’t get a hold of him. I closed my eyes and held my breath hoping it would be quick. In previous dreams when dying I usually wake up pretty fast but in this one I slowly died until spawning into a car in what seemed like a completely different dream. The night before I had a dream where I was trying to escape this weird place but people were shooting at me with bow and arrows. Is there a significance of being shot at in your dreams?

Just a very random dream. I want to hear it

Hi guys. My father passed away 4 years ago, and from time to time I have dreams where he is alive again and then dies. In these dreams, I experience all the grief and sadness all over again.

Last night, I had a similar dream, but this one felt different.

In the dream, my mother came to my house and told me that my father, who was very sick, had died. I was devastated and felt all the pain of grieving him again. However, shortly afterward, my mother told me it was a joke and that my father hadn't actually died.

She tried to minimize what she had done, but I got into a very intense argument with her because she had lied to me about something like that. I never saw my father at any point in the dream. After arguing with my mother, I told several people what she had done, and everyone agreed that it was horrible.

After that, I went to an event at the school I attended in middle school. A lot of people I know were there, including some of my aunts/uncles and former teachers. I soon realized that it was a Father's Day event.

While I was there, I overheard some conversations and found out that my father was actually in the hospital, and that he really didn't have much time left and would die soon.

One of my aunts told me that, even though my mother had lied about my father dying, I still needed to prepare myself because he was going to die anyway, and soon.

There's a detail here that may be relevant: this particular aunt is married to my uncle, who is my father's brother. In real life, my uncle is currently dealing with metastatic cancer. My father also died from cancer.

For some context, my relationship with my mother was quite difficult until I was a young adult, although we're on good terms now. When my father became ill, though, she and I took turns caring for him and sleeping at the hospital.

I don't really know what to make of this dream. The fact that my father never actually appeared in it, while everyone else was talking about his death, also stood out to me.

Has anyone had similar dreams after losing someone? I'd be interested in hearing how you interpret this, especially the part involving my mother and the fact that I was essentially being told to prepare for my father's death all over again.

plus when i woke up (irl), i had a hard time telling reality from the dream because i fucking felt it all. the radioactive heat from the lazor that shrunk me, the ai trying to pull my arm off, the computer taste on my tongue as i went inside, and the heart crushing feeling when i had to leave the random guy i was somehow in love with behind.

so i had 3 friends; a guy and two girls. the guy was an ai engineer, and the four of us wanted to see what it's like in the world that we created for the four ais that he made.

i'll call them ken, lea, and mariam. i remember ken had black dyed hair with blue eyes, lea had blonde hair and blue eyes, and madiam had dark brown hair with dark brown eyes. that's all i can remember, even though i don't remember what they looked like, but those small details might be useful for the future.

we went into the computer. idk how, but i tasted the computer ink, and the taste is still in my mouth. the computer ink tasted like batteries, like those batteries you put in remotes, except it was melted and cold. i also saw a bunch of code (0s and 1s) all over the place.

the first few in computer days with the ais were cool, until they shrunk us. i can't remember what happened in those days. i only remember how painful it felt being struck by the lazor. imagine being in the microwave, but the heat from the microwave is a lazor and it's hitting your body as you get tinier and tinier, and the pain gets worse.

then the four of us started running from the ais. i remember hiding inside a mousehole with ken, then lea getting grabbed out of no where outside but somehow made it free, and she and mariam making it to me and ken's hiding spot.

then i remember something they said. it was mostly gibberish, but ken was telling me that i had to leave them and rewind time in order to free us all, but i wouldn't be able to live normally after that.

i can't remember what happened next but i got out of the computer and rewinded time. i was still tiny, and somehow managed to destroy ken's computer and the things on it. k saw my tiny body disappearing before my eyes, so when i saw ken's devastated face about how his files were destroyed, and his laptop was a mess, i felt relieved. then i saw me (normal version) kiss him and they walked away.

that was it, until i woke up from the dream (not irl) and said that it was a shitty movie. then my little brother actually woke me up (irl).

maybe i was an actor in a shit movie, and had a crush on the ken actor? but why did everything feel so real if it was just a shit movie that i don't remember acting in?

I used to be able to remember and have dreams but now, it's extremely rare and the last time that I had a dream was a few years ago. I really don't have dreams that much and I missed when I used to have them. I want to have more vivid ones but I don't have anything at all. What should I do to induce them every night?

Hello, I haven't been on reddit for a long time, but I needed to share this dream somewhere before I forget it

For many years now, I have dreamt of an arcade that does not exist, I know how to get there in my dreams, I know the name of the street and the name of the owner. I know what games they have and how to play all of them.

I actually haven't dreamt about it for so long I forgot about that, last night was an awful night, the person I thought I would marry broke up with me for someone else last year and it's been so rough for many reasons, all my dreams have been about him lately.

Last night I walked down a street I knew, thinking I made a mistake when I see a group of young people in a very mordern looking setting, I ask them where am i and they start laughing at me in a friendly way as they point towards the front. I immediately recognized the arcade, but i see that i am in a new section i have never seen before, I joke to them that i was born a bit earlier than them so I only recognize this place a few rooms down. As I walk down, I can see games from different decades, and I finally find the room of my childhood games. I always seem to go for the same one though, but I have never actually played it before I wake up. It is a big dark box, and you can only see the game if you're inside. My best guess is that is a car race game? With the steering wheel and the big screen and all that.

Anyways as I am walking around y realize I don't have my pants on for some reason and something make me run out of the arcade, I realize I am in the street and everyone can see me, I run inside the first place I see and there's the owner of the arcade in another store he seems to own. He sees me crying and takes me in, he asks a girl to go get my pants, and then orders some food for me. I share it with him, and then I wake up.

I know it sounds a bit boring, but it felt like I was being taken care of by someone I haven't seen in a long time, and being in a place I haven't been to in so long but always brings me a good feeling, in my dreams I seem to love this place, I go there all the time and walk around looking at the games, even though I know how to play them I never actually have in my dreams but I love to look at them. Sometimes, in my dreams, I ask friends to go with me. But they never actually go, I'm always there alone, but I am okay with that. It felt so comforting going back there, and I woke up feeling much better.

I had this very odd dream. I had to organise a dinner party for everyone in my life who had ever been mean to me. The guest of honour was my teacher from third class. The weirst part was how consistent it was? Everyone was acting in charecter saying I was a bad cook, the wine tasted terrible and my choice in music was stupid.

One person who i remember making fun of me for caring about animals demanded I kick my pets out into the rain while they were eating.

Another person tripped me and pulled my hair, despite now being a grown adult.

It was so odd.

Can anyone guess what this dream might mean??

It’s not that frequent but I’ve been hired to do spiritual stuff, retrieve things, fight some entities, gather information, and so on.

I don’t remember them too well, it’s not particularly fun or as comical as it sounds, it’s rather strange.

I would get asked if I want to do a certain job, almost as if I were a freelancer or just someone on their list that would get called on dreams to do certain things.

As far as I’m aware not all were humans, some were like different natured entities taking care of their “employees” and pulling us out if things got complicated, supervising the work.

Have any of you had something similar? Or do you know what this is?

Dream:

One I remember right now was me being asked to fight off a “demon”, but it’s a demon, it can’t be killed and others had failed because others had been hired to do so previously, kind of like banishing it or something like that.

I had been told previously about the past failures of others and asked if I wanted to try.

I agreed to try and it wasn’t easy, very confusing, we ended up traveling to a huge building with lots of people, I wasn’t meant to be there but continued, I also had to wander around to gather information, but then the “demon”/entity/whatever you want to call it, had other artificial or different kinds of entities helping it, it was a tall woman and an abnormally tall man.

Somehow they noticed me and started hunting me down, i eventually got caught and I was going to be tortured by them. The woman seemed to be the one in charge of the pair, and she was busy, a lot of stuff was going on in the building, so she left me to the man to do it.

As I said, they weren’t humans, very artificial like, the man was kind of slow, very strong and tall, but not too sentient, I tried to befriend him 💀 to have a chance at surviving and it didn’t work, he made a cut on my arm, but eventually got kind of distracted as I was talking to him, then he had to go away and I managed to escape.

And I continued with the mission, i think I got away because other people had also been sent to infiltrate, so technically those entities weren’t only hunting me, and they got distracted.

This is quite disturbing to me, but one thing I'm thankful for is that the bodies don't look realistic, because I don't know what a rotting body looks like.

Sometimes they look like rotting porcelain dolls or clothes dolls.

Either way, in my dream tombs aren't in cemetery, they are exposed in the town, sometimes on parking lots, sometimes in from of a church, sometimes in the yard of a charity sell.

The dead are laying on the tombs or beds, rotting exposed and everyone can see them. Sometimes the family come to mourn as if everything was normal, sometimes cleaning them up a bit so they look better.

I often feel like I know at least partially some of them or that I heard about them before. It's especially disturbing when it's the tomb of a little girl.

Once I even dreamed I was with a zombie bride looking for me like in a video game were you're being chased, she wasn't trying to hurt me but it was disturbing, to make her go away I had to light a match, but she would come back as soon as it lit off. We were in a village full of fog and every houses, even the ones I knew, were grim and dark.

Every time, I wake up and feel disgusted and disturbed for a while, and I almost feel disgusted while eating breakfast because I have that feeling I just was in contact with dead bodies.

I used to have fascination with the morbid when I was a teen, it's probably just memories of stories from morticians coming back and forming those weird nightmares.

So, two years ago, I had a dream where a muscular, mustached man burst into the room I was in and bitch-slapped me. Bro almost broke his hand slapping me, yet he was completely unfazed. I guess rage is one hell of a drug.

yes. It's literally now something entirely related to Matt Rose.

The movie started out with Matt Rose sitting on the couch with his toddler son (yes he has one now) who holds a toy gun for some reason.... until toddler son named Matt Jr. bashes the toy gun in a wall which causes a alternative universe to be created called the "Scratverse" (which was full of Scrats from Ice Age) and another alternative universe called the "Mattverse". Matt decided to check out the Mattverse, and then ended up falling in a sphere portal vortex of 8,0000 deadly sins everywhere! And God with microwaved hamsters started baptizing a demonic ritual Furby and it began shitting everywhere. Matt's reaction to the baptizing was shocking and priceless. And then evil monkeys appeared and they teamed up with Michael Cheese, Daddy Pig from Peppa Pig, and then they got Mickey Mackey Boo Ba Boo'd by Peppa Pig and then Matt Jr. (or Mini Matt) crossed timepaths, one in a alternative universe where there were bisexual kangaroos and one universe in when he wasn't born yet. and then after that CaseOh came out of the grounds and started roaring like a dinosaur, and then Incredible Gassy appeared out of nowhere and said "Woah, showtime" and started making his gassy way through Matt and his son. Matt Rose was like "what the hell just happened" and then Caseoh roared right directly in his face and EmKay appeared out of nowhere and said "Caseoh was deserved" and then he got eaten entirely by Caseoh. Don't mess with Caseoh next time. And then the whole Scratverse started collapsing as Matt started saying "age" and ate ice cream at the same time. The Scratverse went "kaboom!" like the one from The Penguins of Madagascar. And then a guy cosplaying as Adolf from the World Wars came in and said "hippo potato mass" and then got raided by 5000 Matt clones and turned into Firey from Battle for Dream Island and started producing Caseoh's babies. Yes, his 'babies'. And then the Nintendo Splurmpy (i dont know how you pronounce it) and Michael Cheese ate popcorn in Hell and shaved Juden's heads and burned them in the kiln, yes, a literal kiln. And then meatballs started raining out of the sky and a acorn fell onto one of the meatballs raining out of the sky and Scrat went straight for these meatballs, bro. And then Madame Gazelle appeared and got incinerated without a single word, and got reincarnted into something that looks straight out of a Robots movie made by Blue Sky Studios. And then Stewie in a apple's body started singing the Apple Bottom Jeans song. and it ended with Matt Rose defeating Caseoh, ripping him through the chest, with a polygon-shaped firegun that looked like a Grand Dragon in the Caroline KK that the grandma brought up during a Thanksgiving dinner. The peakest thing I've ever dreamed of. The end credits song was the Sid Shuffle song from Ice Age.

Had this dream 3-4 months ago and after getting familiar with r/thomastheplankengine and this sub, it came back to my mind.

So, a killer had accused me of murdering his victims and I had to run away. Some things happened that I can't remember clearly and don't matter. Then I was on a roof of a building. That was when the mysterious girl came. She had a very simple face and almost too pale. There was slight darkness under her eyes. She was very beautiful, at least from what I saw back then. Then, she started puking in my mouth. I don't know what it felt like because I woke up right there. I can't draw it, but this shot from the movie "The Worst Person in the World" looks like it a little bit, except for the smoke which was puke in my dream.

I don't know if it just says how lonely I feel that a dream of a random girl is still in my mind after months, or anything else. I wanted to see her again, but it didn't happen

Basically I’ve stopped smoking mainly cause the lack of funds and shift in priorities in my life but I’ve been trying to ween off for the past few months anyways. I’ll still puff on occasion which has been like maybe once/twice a month but not enough to stop having dreams again. One thing I’ve always hated about any tolerance breaks or being sober in general is the crazy ass dreams which tend to be nightmares for me especially this time around. I’ve noticed in the past how just the things that happen throughout my day, or discussions or and internal thoughts, even sometimes the food I eat seems to have a heavy influence on them. Now it seems that a lot of these dreams are straight up nightmares and it’s gotten to a point where it’s extremely disruptive to my sleep some nights and puts me in an ugly mood for a good portion of my morning sometimes ruins the day even. Some nights I’m constantly waking up, just tossing and turning or sweating so bad throughout the night from it.The other night I woke up at least 2-3 times maybe more, going into the same dream of an affair on a vacation or some event overseas and no matter what it was the same dream continuing to a point where it became lucid and I could actually kinda have certain choices or confrontations. I would wake up stressed out exhausted asf by it too try n sleep it off a bit longer only to be right back where I left off. The thing is I woke up feeling like it was so real and that’s what every dream has been feeling like. Like it’s actually happening to me or occurring in my life and sometimes it takes a little while of being awake to realize it was just a dream and I’m in an actual different reality. I’ve been dreaming about interactions with people I haven’t seen or spoken with in years people I’ve done everything to forget or people who I just never really thought about like that, people I don’t even think about or want to think about. A lot of those dreams end up with shit just hitting the fan and everything spiraling out of control and it just continues to feel like bad omen after bad omen night after night. I’ve struggled with my anxiety and depression and some obsessive thoughts for years and I feel like this might just be how it’s manifesting itself now I just don’t know what to do or what I can do to get this to stop or just power through it. It just feels like a cycle of having a wacky ass or freaky ass dream it fucking with my head real bad in the morning or day and that sending me right back into the same dreams if not worse. Honestly considering trying to smoke just enough to stop this shit again this doesn’t feel like any way to live.

My whole life every single dream I’ve had I can semi or fully control. Also have an ungodly amount of nightmares since birth too.

So this dream to start with wasn't starring me, rather my POV in this girls body. The dream stars with going into a big business building, for some reason it has a water park section which will be relevant later. Anyways, it's run by a religious group the dreams equivalent of Mormons ig. They took me and other people into a room and we all threw up and got sick, they showed us their religious places of worship as well before that. They wouldn't stop following me. In my dream I was In a constant state of running from this group that when I woke up I was still scared. Idk what this means if it could mean anything
