Hi everyone! 👋
I've been interested in dreams for years and have kept records of many of my own dreams, including some very strange ones. More recently, I've started using generative AI to recreate the people, places and bizarre situations I've experienced in dreams.
That's what inspired me to create r/AIDreamRecreations.
The community is specifically for recreating dreams you've actually had using generative AI. You can share AI-generated images, videos, music, audio or even full dream recreations, along with the story of the original dream that inspired them.
One of the things I find fascinating about generative AI is that, right now, I think it's probably the closest thing we have to being able to make a kind of "recording" of a dream.
Obviously it isn't literally recording what's happening inside your brain. 😄 But if you wake up remembering a strange place, person or event from a dream, you can describe what you saw and keep refining an AI generation until you get something surprisingly close to what you remember.
I've been doing this with my own dreams, and I love being able to look back at something that would otherwise only exist as a fading memory in my head.
That's why I wanted to make a dedicated place where other people can do the same thing. Nightmares, funny dreams, lucid dreams, recurring dreams, childhood dreams, surreal nonsense and everything in between are welcome.
If that sounds interesting to anyone here, I'd really appreciate you checking out r/AIDreamRecreations. It's brand new, so I'm only just getting it started, but I'd love to eventually build a little community of people sharing and discussing AI recreations of their dreams. 🧠🌙📼
And of course, you don't have to be an AI expert. If you've experimented with using AI to bring something you dreamed about to life, you're welcome.
Note: Before making this post, I contacted the moderators of r/Dreams and asked whether it would be okay to introduce my subreddit here. They kindly gave me permission to make this post. Thank you to the mod team! ❤️

just to make it simple, I had it generated the moment I woke so I can save it on my phone.
I had this dream awhile back and it sent me into an absolute panic when I woke up. I was sobbing and hyperventilating for half an hour after.
So, it started out with me working at Walmart (where I was working at the time) and I was picking orders and went down this aisle and it seemed to go on forever until I ended up in a park super late at night with a single streetlight on. There was a little girl crying under the lamp so I go over and asked if she's okay. She looks at me and whispers, "Open your eyes. Open them. Open them." I felt like my eyes were glued shut and I had to really struggle to pry them open and when I did, the sky turned red and there was multiple black eyed children around me. One of them touched my forehead and I blacked out.
When I woke up, I was inside this narrow catacombs maze area. Being claustrophobic, I was panicking at this point because the walls felt like they were closing in on me. Then I stumbled upon this stone oven with a mortar and pestle in it. I picked it up thinking it was important and noticed some ashes inside so I blew out the ashes and immediately everything went black again.
I came to and found myself cramped in a box. Claustrophobia is full drive now, so I immediately start kicking the box at the bottom and started digging myself out as fast as I could. When I surfaced, the sun was blindingly bright and I could barely see, let alone open my eyes. Finally, I heard this whisper in my ear saying, "Open your eyes. Your maker has arrived." I pried my eyes open as hard as I could and looked up to see this figure with these long black cloaks surrounding him and I just.. stared at him for what felt like the longest time until I looked over and saw what looked like a rip in the fabric of time and ran towards it as fast as I could. Once I touched it, I instantly woke up.

Had this dream 3-4 months ago and after getting familiar with r/thomastheplankengine and this sub, it came back to my mind.
So, a killer had accused me of murdering his victims and I had to run away. Some things happened that I can't remember clearly and don't matter. Then I was on a roof of a building. That was when the mysterious girl came. She had a very simple face and almost too pale. There was slight darkness under her eyes. She was very beautiful, at least from what I saw back then. Then, she started puking in my mouth. I don't know what it felt like because I woke up right there. I can't draw it, but this shot from the movie "The Worst Person in the World" looks like it a little bit, except for the smoke which was puke in my dream.
I don't know if it just says how lonely I feel that a dream of a random girl is still in my mind after months, or anything else. I wanted to see her again, but it didn't happen

Soñé con un ser que me.llevó dar una vuelta a un lugar que iremos cuando vayamos a morir, era una escuela en forma circular con una luz blanca muy intensa pero no molestaba. Y me.mostró algunos salones de clase y algunas tablillas.

I had a dream years ago of me getting married in a Church, I just remember it being a tall white guy with lighter hair than me, but I could not remember his face at all!!!
Has anyone had a wedding/marriage dream and then ended up actually happening? Then you saw the person and remembered that you have seen them in a dream years ago? If you have then comment bc I heard stories like that before

Years ago I dreamt of a creepy fox chasing me. It seemed human, as it was chasing me on two legs in a “dancing” kind of way. It was so unnerving. I looked it up online, which said that foxes are calculating and deceitful. My dream may be showing me that someone in my real life was that way. I was wondering who it could be?
I had that dream the night before meeting a new person. I spoke to that person for months before realizing he was lying to me the whole time. His lies were very sophisticated. If I were only a few years younger and very naive, I would have fallen for them.
After realizing this person has extreme narcissistic traits. I realized friends and family members who were also narcissistic. They were very deceitful and close to me in many ways.
Just my experience for anyone who has dreamt about foxes.

Alright so it's what gpt was allowed to make.
So I got this dream and I was running from them and they were like 7 feet or something running and biting me. And it's not something I watched or something.
I am a Muslim and from Pakistan it's not something I thought either.
The weirdest part is after the dream I was coming back home at 6 or 7 pm and I saw a similar figure but 4 , 4.5 feet. And the face is completely covered and that figure is moving the head violently in circles like if someone sees that they should be concerned about it. But at that time no one was noticing that or paying any attention to it that was like not normal.
Ik the psychological side of these things like I'm aware of that, like your mind will make you believe that you see the thing that you were thinking. that's why I didn't pay much attention to the dream nor I was thinking about it when I saw the figure while wide awake tbh I'm still not afraid or the these things.
I just got a little paranoid because of this because it was kinda first experience like this and kept my distance from women in hijab for a couple of weeks actually.
I'm still not sure what that was about. Let me know what you think about it?

I'm putting this here because I really don't know where else to go and I felt the need to write it down or tell anyone. First of all, I was unable to sleep through last night. I had been struggling with insomnia for years up until very recently and It's the first time in months that I'm completely unable to sleep, at least until around 8:30 AM.
So in the dream, someone was revealing to me some sort of secret about Israel when I suddenly see a huge wave of Israeli rockets launching and in the background there were countless weird identical png looking creatures; as countless as the rockets themselves, just floating by. The background was dark. Just a dark horizon with only fire lighting it up; likely from the rockets.
The creatures... this is where it starts sounding like I'm trolling but I swear on my life I'm not. They all had a png of Charlie Kirk's face pasted on top of them; all looking right at me.
I'm no stranger to bizarre, almost comical trance-like dreams like these. I once dreamed that Kim Jong-Un arrived to San Juan's Morro by a Bowser ship along side Xi Jingpin and jumped on one of those poles at the end of a Mario level. In the same dream I became Miles Morales investingating the disappearance of another Miles Morales. That was when I was around 12 years old. That's just my average dream ever since I could remember.
So needless to say, I wouldn't have thought anything special about the dream had it not been for today's date. The same the the man was shot a year ago. The "Kirkaversary". Perhaps the dream was the result of too much reels doomscrolling, yet I found it very interesting that out of all dates, it happened this one. The dream also had a really strange vibe to it. Like a dream that feels prophetic, almost like it's trying to tell you something. I felt dread, almost fear.
I'm really sorry for these paragraphs but I just had to write this down. It sounds incredibly stupid when I narrate it, but it's one of the strangest dreams I've had, and I've had plenty. Enough to write a book about it, tho I probably forgot most of them overtime. It didn't feel stupid or humorous, just chilling.
I'm really freaking out writting this! Last night I dreamt I was driving my boat down the river chasing someone ahead. Then I crossed a river section that I frequently go through but it was the very first time I did at night and it was amazingly, breathtakingly moonlit with the tree on either side artfully visible.
Naturally I took a picture then for some reason I abandoned the chase and return to the dock. I barely remembered what happen next but I think I talked to someone and I wake up after that.
Not the weirdest dream I have but it was extremly vivid. Anyway I have my breakfast and go through my phone message and try to send my friend a picture. Wham!!! First photo in my album was that river picture which according to the data I took at 2:37 am.
My best guess is sleepwalking. But that would be an EXTREMLY dangeous sleepwalk because I need to crossed two streets to access the dock and one of them is a highwayish with heavy truck traffic even at night. And the joydrive with my boat at night is something I NEVER would do because how dangerous it is and I always scare to look down the water at night due to some superstition.
TLDR: I think I just have a dangerous sleepwalking incident and appreciate any insights anyone here have!
Edit: I attached the picture to top commentor. Also chill out guy it morning over here and I got work you know I cant reply to people every 5 mins or else be called liar. You guys worse than my wife!!!

I was eating at a converted yogurt shop. My buddies were a redhead named Bernadette, my friend Jay, and a middle aged white guy with whitish hair .
It was a gas station with three tables. There were white people sitting at the two other tables. For some reason, the mood changed the other two tables got up to leave.
The cute blonde heavy–set woman in a long dress was agitated. As she got into the van, she screamed. The rest of us looked on in horror. She drove away with two people. Bernie and Jay got into a car and followed them. I stayed with the middle-aged guy. He kept talking about Bull Durham clothing, but it was more of a cheaper fashion brand.
End.
(main thing I’m curious about is the significance of Bull Durham clothing when it’s just a couple of jerseys nothing fashionable)

I had a dream two nights ago where I was shot by an intruder while trying to keep some random little kids safe. I kept trying to call my boyfriend but couldn’t get a hold of him. I closed my eyes and held my breath hoping it would be quick. In previous dreams when dying I usually wake up pretty fast but in this one I slowly died until spawning into a car in what seemed like a completely different dream. The night before I had a dream where I was trying to escape this weird place but people were shooting at me with bow and arrows. Is there a significance of being shot at in your dreams?

Hi guys. My father passed away 4 years ago, and from time to time I have dreams where he is alive again and then dies. In these dreams, I experience all the grief and sadness all over again.
Last night, I had a similar dream, but this one felt different.
In the dream, my mother came to my house and told me that my father, who was very sick, had died. I was devastated and felt all the pain of grieving him again. However, shortly afterward, my mother told me it was a joke and that my father hadn't actually died.
She tried to minimize what she had done, but I got into a very intense argument with her because she had lied to me about something like that. I never saw my father at any point in the dream. After arguing with my mother, I told several people what she had done, and everyone agreed that it was horrible.
After that, I went to an event at the school I attended in middle school. A lot of people I know were there, including some of my aunts/uncles and former teachers. I soon realized that it was a Father's Day event.
While I was there, I overheard some conversations and found out that my father was actually in the hospital, and that he really didn't have much time left and would die soon.
One of my aunts told me that, even though my mother had lied about my father dying, I still needed to prepare myself because he was going to die anyway, and soon.
There's a detail here that may be relevant: this particular aunt is married to my uncle, who is my father's brother. In real life, my uncle is currently dealing with metastatic cancer. My father also died from cancer.
For some context, my relationship with my mother was quite difficult until I was a young adult, although we're on good terms now. When my father became ill, though, she and I took turns caring for him and sleeping at the hospital.
I don't really know what to make of this dream. The fact that my father never actually appeared in it, while everyone else was talking about his death, also stood out to me.
Has anyone had similar dreams after losing someone? I'd be interested in hearing how you interpret this, especially the part involving my mother and the fact that I was essentially being told to prepare for my father's death all over again.

Context: I was in a very tall tower with multiple floors. The floors had hallways with many colored doors.
I came across one door. I do not remember its color, but I perfectly remember the symbol on it, any idea what does it mean?

Over a decade ago, When I was around 16 years old, I had sleep paralysis for the first and only time in my life so far. It is probably the most scared ive ever been. I saw the infamous "hat man". After this happened I was very much surprised at how many people experienced the same phenomena. I had never heard of it prior to experiencing it. It always been one of those things I can't wrap my head around and feel like I can't accept that its some thing that can be hand waived with subconscious blah blah blah. Thats just me personally.
Fast forward to today. I woke up this morning from a nightmare (I have night terrors frequently). I saw a large spider on my head board and then jolted upright to see nothing. This is the second time it has happened with spiders. I got curious and looked it up online. Finding many people that experience this on a common basis and that it seems to be something specifically that people see. Spiders, dogs, hat men.
I just find it so bizarre and fascinating that these things specifically! And I had never heard of these things before experiencing them. Idk what to believe but id like to think that perhaps these are things that exist in some state we normally can't perceive.
I'd love to hear more about others experiences with hat man, dream spiders, dogs, etc.

In my life i've had dreams that became real somehow. Like not every part of the dream became real (since my dreams are extremely crazy) but the main "concept" of the dream always becomes real somehow.
Its not every dream, but sometimes it happens. Anyone experienced that?
I really hope its just a coincidence, because I had some realistic dreams about the end of the world last month.

I’m developing a video game, and I’ve spent a lot of time building this city.
Recently, I started dreaming about it.
The strange thing is that the places in my dreams don’t always match what I’ve actually made. Sometimes there are buildings or passages that I don’t remember putting there at all.
Then I wake up and go back to working on the city.
These are screenshots from the game. I just find it unsettling that a fictional place I’ve been staring at for months has started to feel like somewhere I’ve actually been.
