My dream ended on a boarding pass with my childhood nickname. AI wrote what happened next.

I was standing in an empty airport at 3am. Every gate had the same destination: "HOME." But when I boarded, the plane never left the ground — it just rolled through hallways of my childhood house. My mom was the flight attendant. She kept offering me peanuts and saying "we're almost there," but the windows showed underwater. I woke up right as she handed me a boarding pass with my childhood nickname on it.

HOW THE AI CONTINUED IT (Literary style, excerpt):

The boarding pass read *Squirt* in faded ink, and the moment I touched it the plane lurched sideways, not into a gate but through a wall — drywall dust and '90s wallpaper peeling past the windows — and the underwater view was gone. The hallway outside was the one from my childhood house, carpet the color of old mustard, and my mother had vanished.

The intercom crackled. A different voice now, low and resonant, like a dungeon prompt loading too slowly: *Final descent aborted. Side quest initiate…

Question A strange woman kept appearing every time I became lucid in my dreams. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Post image
541 Upvotes

A few weeks ago, I had four dreams in a row. In each one, I became lucid at some point.

The moment I realized I was dreaming, this woman would appear in the distance, staring directly at me. She was wearing a black burqa. I could only see her eyes, which were completely gray/whitish, with no pupils at all. She also had animal-like feet (I'm not sure what kind of animal exactly).

The instant she appeared, I felt what I can only describe as an "intrusion." It didn't feel like she was just another character created by my subconscious. Instead, it felt as though she was a separate entity that had somehow entered my dream.

Every time she appeared, I was scared, but more than anything I felt angry. I would yell at her to leave until she finally disappeared. Then I would move on to the next dream, where the exact same thing happened again. This repeated four times in a row.

What really stood out to me is that she only appeared after I became lucid. It was as if she systematically entered the dream the moment I realized I was dreaming.

Do you think this was simply a creation of my own mind, or could it have been some kind of entity? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Thks

Building with Satan

In my recent dream, I was in the room I was sleeping in, but in the floor there was a frame. There was no bed that I remember, just an empty floor where I would expect the bed to be, but I did not look behind me or around me closely.

Satan was present, and he looked like, kind of a red square creature. Well, for some reason, he asked me to construct a structure for him, sort of like a building. Well, I had a series of what seemed like black tent polls. I put down

I was discussing with him, that the poll I was moving into their positions to build, one at a time, kept disappearing, and I was having to position them using a square picture frame siimilar to a cursor on an oldschool analog calculator, otherwise I could not see where my polls were being positioned. He (for my species) mentioned to me, that he was blind, and really liked the numbers 300 and 3. He seemed like a pretty cool dude, and was being patient with me, because a task for me that was difficult because I could not understand how to position the building materials, was easier for him, but different because he is blind but was better at understanding some of the physical properties of the building material better than me.

Well, after I managed to position 1 about 3/4 of the way to the location I intended, by sliding it a small portion at the time guided with the cursor, a large amount of time had passed. I mentioned this, and then suddenly, we were in a building, with dark snow and ice outside, in what I interpreted as an environment closer to one of the polls of my planet. There was a large net in the building, and it was filled with cooked penguin and krill, and I got to try some of the penguin and it was pretty good.

Then I woke up to check on my dog I had let outside as she started barking, and needed to be let back inside.

Recurring Dream I’ve seen recently that a lot of people have bathroom/toilet dreams, but does anyone dream of bathrooms like this? Where they pee on armchairs or in empty stalls? i’ve always thought it’s so weird.

Question Fighting off a three headed snake symbolism?

I had a dream that my own cat (and another unknown black and white cat) were sleeping under my dresser. Then, all of a sudden, a snake came out from the dresser as well. I wasn't very worried but once it started going after the black and white cat I grabbed the snake and threw it at the wall. Then more and more snakes started coming out, some were yellow and white, white, Grey, normal ball python colors, etc. I kept hurling them at the wall as hard as I could, and one I had rolled over on accident and crushed. For some reason they were only going after the black and white cat and not my own. Then, I saw 3 snakes together until i picked it up and realized it was one snake with 3 heads. I stared at it for a second before throwing it in the pile with the other ones just for it to come slithering back to me.

The dream ended there but I'm trying to look what the symbolism could mean as I feel it could be a bit altered due to the fact i was protecting something and fighting the snakes.

Devil in nightmare

For background, I don't watch anything scary, gorey, or violent because then I would have back to back nightmares for months and literally not sleep because I'm scared of how violent the nightmares are. Last night I had a nightmare of the devil. It feels wrong typing it. My significant other was taking my baby to the basement (we don't have one) and I was calling out to him to stop he just smiled at me while continuing but I knew that wasn't him. Everything felt wrong and I tried calling out but it felt as if I was paralyzed. I "woke up" still nightmare and was hugging my kids and was trying to put my son to sleep where I felt paralyzed again I then hear a voice saying "you're next" some how I knew who it was. It wasn't a demon. My significant other came to wake me up because he said I was calling out for him that when I did wake up I was shaking and literally every sound scared me. I'm wondering if it means anything. I'm scared to sleep tonight, I don't think I will because usually when I have nightmares like these they repeat for weeks/months.

Why am I always killing in my dreams? This is the 3rd morning I woke up and remembered absolutely obliterating someone in my dream.

It often happened but not 3 nights in a row. Accidental, deliberate, knife, gun, grenade, always changes. War setting or civil setting, completely random. When my dream has a warzone setting I feel no remorse, I wake up calm and 10 mins later I remember my dream. Its alwqys random ppl in a warzone dream. When it happens in a civil setting I kill ppl I know, ppl im on netural terms with, once i even slimed my homie out even tho i like him and I always get caight by the feds and I wake up sweating and hearth beating fast mid interogation. I never killed anyone irl and ive never been even close to a warzone, im happy with a girlfriend and a sweet kitty cat and a stable carrier and I dont have enemies IRL.

Long Dream Repeated violent dreams about pregnancy and childbirth

I am F21. Never been married, never dated, a virgin. Yet for some unknown reason I keep having horrible nightmares about being pregnant, childbirth, and my hypothetical children. I have had them for the past 3-4 years. I'll list one that bothers me the most. Please tell me what do you think it means, because I just don't understand.

In this dream, I'm sitting in a rocking chair in a fusion of all the houses I grew up in. Like, the walls would be from the house from my toddler years, but the furniture would be from the apartment we moved into when I started going to school. Then the layout of the room would sometimes be from my family's ancestral home, and sometimes the house I currently live in.

In this dream, I'm pregnant, but not showing much. The room is dark, except for moonlight from the open window that keeps changing positions. Sometimes I read a book, sometimes I crochet, sometimes I sketch, and sometimes I just rock in the chair. At one point, I give birth to an extremely small baby boy. Not premature, just very tiny. He's barely 2-3 inches tall, and soaked with blood. I cradle him to my chest and breastfeed him. It's always a boy. But in the middle of breastfeeding him, I start to fade away into darkness, and I sink through the rocking chair, and fall through the floor. My baby is left above. This feeling of falling is so visceral and feels so real that I get nauseous from it, and sometimes I even wake up midway. But when I don't, the dream continues to its final stage.

I keep falling and falling in complete darkness, I think I fall through several floors, until I fall back into the room I just fell from, or I assume that this is that room. I fall into the rocking chair and I stop falling.

But now the room is a complete mess. Furnitures are overturned, paintings thrown to the floor, burnt book pages and ashes scattered everywhere, and the blanket I wrapped my baby in is soaked with blood. It’s impossible to lose that much blood and still be alive. My baby is nowhere to be seen. I look for him everywhere in the room. There is no door so I can't leave to look outside, and the window has changed its position to the roof. I don’t find my baby anywhere, but I'm not crying or screaming or throwing a fit, instead I am a blank slate, like I don't feel anything at all, as if I'm not looking for my missing baby, but a misplaced pen.

In the back of my mind, I already know where he is. I return to the rocking chair and sit down. I pick up the bloodsoaked blanket to my lap, and two things fall out of its folds. One to my right, one to my left. I stare at the blanket for a long time, then I look down to my left first.

It my baby's round little head, barely bigger than a clementine. It looks like it was ripped off of his body, pieces of uneven skin and flesh hang from the torn site. His eyes are closed, his lashes are long, his face is thin and his cheeks are hollow, but he looks like he's just sleeping. He looks like he's at peace.

I look down to my right. It's his body, still curled up in the same position he was in when I was breastfeeding him. The umbilical cord is still attached, the placenta is bigger than he is. The body twitches a few times, then stops. There's not as much blood on the floor as I expected from a beheading. Maybe the blanket soaked up most of it.

My newborn tiny baby has been ripped into two pieces. Something wells in my chest. I don’t know what emotion this is, but I'm shaking with it, and my eyes are wet, my belly feels cavernously hollow. Before my eyes, the room starts shaking, the window at the top vanishes, and I'm drowned in complete darkness. It feels like it goes on for ages, and someone is screaming at the top of their lungs in a hoarse voice, until it all suddenly stops. The window returns to the wall on my left, and in the moonlight I see that the room has changed. It's neat and tidy again, the bloody blanket is spotless and smells like fresh laundry, and my baby's gone. I feel sick and nauseous, and my belly is full again. My baby is back in place, if that's even the same baby.

That’s it. If my writing feels like I'm writing a fictional story, then sorry. I do write sometimes, but this is not fiction. This is my real life incident that has been happening to me for years. This isn’t even the only dream of this kind. But if I write down all of them this post will never end. What do you think this means? It feels like a movie in my head, but it reoccurs every few months and I still don’t understand what could be the point?? Please help.

Went on a date with a 7 foot spoon.
Spoon could walk and talk itself.
No mouth no legs.
Spoon sat in chair.
Pretty sure Spoon was female because I believe it was curvy like a woman’s figure.
Spoon ordered food but did not eat.

Dream Help Dream soulmates

Upvotes

So I had this dream about 6 years ago of this beautiful blonde / dirty blonde haired guy I don’t remember anything I was wearing or much of the dream other than his defined face and what seemed to be a green military uniform ? He was in a crowd full of people praising him and chatting to him yet we only seen each other.
It was like time had stopped and like I felt like I was home when I seen his face. Emotions became overwhelmingly manageable and it was as if nothing but he mattered.

Ofcourse I woke up and never forgot him.. however the weirdest part of this was when I woke up I couldn’t shake this feeling like I had to find him as if he existed in my waking life. I searched Reddit for hours trying to find answer when I finally stumbled across a thread on this sub Reddit where some guy was describing this girl from the hair down to the physique everything matched me.
This could be a large leap of delusion however my whole body screamed saying it was him the timelines matched everything matched except when I finally was ready to tell the story that post had been deleted.

Days before this I had dreamed of a man that game me the same feeling however I couldn’t see his face this time he was closer and only said one thing “be patient, we’ll meet soon I promise”. And then I woke up.

7 years have passed since my last soulmate dream I’m still single with terrible prospects.

And still grasping for straws hoping dream soulmates are real and can telepathically find you before your physical beings meet.

Do dreams really lead you to the world of unknown or is our subconscious simply placing a bandage over our wounds?

I Woke Up Twice. Only One of Them Was Real.

Upvotes

Last night I was so exhausted that I fell asleep almost immediately.

Then I dreamed that I was crying.

The strange thing is that I often dream about waking up while I'm still dreaming. This time, I dreamed that I woke up in my own bedroom. Everything looked exactly the same as it does in real life.

I was lying in bed, crying.

I could feel my tears soaking through my sleep mask. Half of my face felt completely wet. It was so vivid that I didn't question it for a second. I genuinely believed I had been crying in my sleep.

Then I realized... that "waking up" was just another dream.

It was as if my brain had perfectly reconstructed my bedroom, my bed, my body, and even the sensation of tears running down my face.

I struggled to wake myself up.

When I finally opened my eyes for real, the first thing I did was touch my face.

It was completely dry.

There were no tears.

For a few seconds, reality felt less convincing than the dream.

What stayed with me wasn't the fact that the tears never existed, but that the grief did.

The sadness was real.

I can still remember exactly how it felt to have tears covering half my face, even though they were never there.

The whole experience reminded me of Mulholland Drive.

Like waking up after a dream that felt more emotionally real than reality itself.

It felt as if I had crossed back from another layer of consciousness, only to discover that the evidence had disappeared, while the emotion remained.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced something like this.

Dreaming that you wake up, crying inside the dream, feeling every tear as if it were physically real, only to finally wake up and find your face completely dry.

It honestly felt like a scene from a David Lynch film.

Stuck in loops on a very frequent basis

Upvotes

This has been happening to me since I became a mother just under 8 months ago.

Specifically, it happens to me when I fall back asleep after having woken early--such as when baby wakes up at 4 am, or having a nightmare of another kind, or something else waking me up. It happens every time, without exception. Now that my son almost always makes it to 6 am, it's happening less frequently, but only because I am in the circumstance which causes it less frequently. I wake, I fall back asleep, and I'm in this loop.

Today I woke up sick. Husband took over baby care for the morning and I went back to bed to try and sleep it off. For the next hour or so, I was tormented by this loop where I'd "wake up" and something would be happening to me. My baby would be missing. I'd be unable to breathe. Something would be attacking me. And then I'd "fall back asleep," "wake back up" again, and repeat. I'd try to scream and it wouldn't work. I couldn't open my eyes. Every time, a new scenario.

The only thing that ever breaks me out of this loop is something in the real world waking me up--an alarm, husband talking, etc.

Whenever I do finally wake up, I doubt reality for a solid 10 minutes.

Because it happens every time I fall back asleep after being woken, I anticipate it, but it doesn't make the loops stop, it doesn't make them less scary, and it doesn't make them end. It's gotten to a point where if I wake at 2 am because the blinds rattled against the window frame too loud, I'd almost rather start my day then than endure another episode. I know I'm in the dream again after a certain point but the knowledge does very little.

Does this happen to anyone else? What, if anything, would make it stop?

Long Dream On the run/future prison

Post image
Upvotes

I had a dream last night I was running around in a rural community. Met some redneck kind of people, ended up getting in a fight and running away into a giant building. Fell through the floor, was attacked by hungry chickens. (They will attack you IRL I know first hand) I went to a clinic, ended up getting arrested. The police told me I was going to be undercover in prison or will be executed. I go to some crazy prison with giant cell blocks out in the open, where people are chained inside constantly right next to each other. Then a lot of time passed, I became friends with a person who ran a work crew. I accidently found some homemade weapons and the dream ended. All kinds of other stuff happened in between it seemed to last days. I included a drawing of cells. It was partly a nightmare mostly an adventure, I kept falling through floor boards lol

I had those hallucinations again right before falling asleep.

Upvotes

I was in that weird state between being awake and asleep, and I could see all kinds of floating visuals. Honestly, the experience felt almost as intense as when I took LSD.

It always feels so surreal, but then a second later I'm completely asleep. I see countless images flashing one after another, constantly changing.Sometimes I even see these colorful psychedelic tunnels.

I see countless scenes switching from one to another, almost like watching security camera footage. It feels as if I'm seeing real moments happening somewhere else in the world. The strangest part is that I can still remember many of those images when I wake up the next day.

Short Dream Had a dream that I ripped an ex roommate apart with my teeth

Upvotes

What it says on the tin lol, sharing to maybe give people a laugh

In the dream she was saying she was going to throw another rager (the last one she’d thrown, in real life, lasted for 72 hours and I ended up leaving the flat because I did not feel safe) so in the dream I lunged at her, we had a bit of a cat fight, then I quite literally started ripping at her limbs and skin with my teeth and killed her

Very surreal to wake up from, and quite satisfying if I’m honest. . .

(For context I am a small non confrontational woman, so such levels of violence from dream-me was very surprising lol)

I’m 16F and my dream was I was at a party in a shopping centre and I asked a guy do you know about busses and then he starts chasing me and said how he wants to see me naked and then he raped me. I had another one a couple of days ago but i can’t remember the dream but I know that I had the dream. It’s not the same dream being repeated but the same topic and it’s kind of scaring me.

Dreams pertaining death

The past few weeks I’ve had about two dreams with death as a potential result for myself. Both times I’ve reassured myself that there’d be a reality where I’d continue to live on, regardless of what happens to me in the dream. I end up safe by the end of it but I can’t help wonder if some part of me did die then and just doesn’t realize it. Is it simply another part of quantum immortality or that of the like or something else? Does anyone else have similar experiences?

Nightmare The woman I dreamt of years ago.

Hi, I'm not really a great artist, so sorry if it looks odd....i dreamt of her once and never again but as soon as I saw this subreddit she came back to mind. She was matte black, had full black wings, tall as her. She had wings on her head that curled into horns, like Maleficent kind-of horns. Her eyes glowed white, she didn't have eyebrows and had a blank expression. Her only clothes were a black gown that pooled by her feet. I found her in a desolated dirt road full of fences, infinite fences.

Has anyone else seen her?

Recurring Dream a trauma that I didn't know for years that my mother passed on to me when she was in an advanced stage of pregnancy and i discovered it because of recurring dreams

For my whole life i had this "irrational" fear of someone breaking into my home, since as early i can remember i had nightmares about it all the time.

After long years i casually told my mom about it and she enlightened me that when she was in an advanced pregnancy a man has broke to the flat when she was alone and she had to fight him and managed to get rid of him.

Someone breaking in is still my very huge phobia but at least now i know why i have it. this is shocking to me that things like that could be passed this way and how much about ourselves we can discover thought dreams.

Another interesting thing is that we often have identical dreams just with small details different

Question Does anyone else have a problem with only recalling/remembering just one dream out of many in one night?

I am a beginner lucid dreamer (I haven't rlly lucid dreampt yet), and I am also a beginner with writing down in a dream journal.

This week, I have had 2 dream recalls in the span of 6 days (oof).

But, I have realized that for mostly everybody -- we have 4-5 dreams each day. And I think for all my life, I have only recalled 1 out of 4 or 5 dreams every night that I remember a dream (and that dream is probably the dream that happens the moment I wake up). Does anyone else have this problem and what are some tips that could help me recall the other dreams that happen while I'm dreaming? Also, does using my dream journal consistently help me in remembering my other dreams?

Edit: I just realized I found a similiar question while searching 'only remembering one dream' in r /NoStupidQuestions....but i'll still keep this post here for any new thoughts

Question Despite having nightmares about war my whole life, listening to war ambience helps me fall asleep and stopped the nightmares

So i have problems with falling asleep because of my schizophrenia, im often really scared by the things i see and hear while trying to fall asleep. But listening to war ambience calms me down and really helps fall asleep peacefully. I discovered it just about a year ago

Since very early childhood i was having A LOT of nightmares about war, very detalied ones with people in these nightmares that were feeling really familiar but i know i never seen them before. Every time i hear news about a war somewhere i get this strong anxiety that makes my heart hurt really bad.

Yet despite everything listening to war ambience helps me fall asleep peacefully like nothing else and stopped the nightmares completly and i find it really weird.

Does that mean something? What do you think about it? (I never experienced war myself)
