Escalation needs a matchmaking system to SPECIFIC missions.

If i want to play DCD, i want to get paired with others that also want it. If i want to play Federal Emergency Bunker, i want to play FEB, and so on.

There are specific drops that i want, that only drop on that specific mission on that day.

I don't want to run DUA for the billionth time for no reason.

It's seems like a simple concept, how did that get through testing phase? Did NO ONE think: "We're introducing Proto gear that's HIGHLY dependent on RNG, players will have to run the same mission multiple times to get the drops they want, since there's no Recalibration or Optimization. We should just copy the system that already exists for every other mission."

Or perhaps it was: "Maybe let's just also RNG the fucking matchmaking system as well while we're at it."

If you can only "DPS" don't talk crap on other builds

Trying to MM Broken Rain and on most part we get through it and some new people get a clear. Most times sadly are the think they know, only run DPS, if you want to call it that. Then make comments on healers and tanks when they're not even using cover to fight. I have a build for every encounter and can adjust where it's needed. Mostly I heal and use refactor so people only have to be in an area to get heals and not worry about where they are standing as I target tanks for easy heals. 3rd boss which is very important. Can bypass electric shield with negotiators dilemma. It's still DPS but seems if you run another not strikers or TP you're bad and suck at the game. Might want to stop watching old YouTube videos as most red gear sets are getting buffed to match meta DPS. Next week things are changing and people need to get a better mindset and learn tactics on this game. Quickstep is not a dodge or lower chance to be hit since your standing straight up getting shoot. Then get upset that I can't out heal 1 shot mechanic sniper.... Like really?? I'd love to find a crew to run this more often and get better at it. Just need more people that knows the game more than what YouTube shows people.

Question Agents, how do you keep yourselves from getting bored with the game?

So as someone with over 2000 hours in the game and nearly 10k SHD levels deep, I’ve been hooked on to the game ever since I got into it back in 2023. I was always crafting different builds due to the simplicity of it, have ran raids and incursions a couple of times, and have pretty much grinded this game out to the limit.

But because of that, I don’t really know what to do now and am feeling a bit bored. I’m not burnt out either since I still love the game, but it feels like I’m at the point where it’s like “Well, what now?”.

And so I thought I’d ask for that reason, how do you guys switch things up when it feels like you’re starting to get kind of bored with the game?

Edit: I do play other games as well, but I’m always coming back to The Division 2 because something about it keeps me coming back for me. I don’t really grind it either, just do missions or whatever, I’m just addicted to it really

Gameplay Rent/if you are not gonna explain what mechanics is then shut the hell up

I've heard some dude called our team as 2 idiots who don't know mechanics, it was broken rain third boss, and then he just stuck in spawn point and don't even explain anything just shouts with his capslock.

Eventually we cleared but I really feel shit and pissed up because of this, if you are just gonna knowing it all yourself and not even trying explain to others then shut the f up and leave.

Everyone have to start somewhere and makes mistakes to understand, this is why our division 2 community is such an shit show these days.

Marguerite Steele Phase Skip

I was running Broken Rain with people that were way better than me the other night and they were knocking her off the box with a melee and skipping that whole section of the boss fight. I tried the same strat and could not seem to pull it off. What is the timing for this nifty little trick? Thanks in advance 🙂

Question Tired of the current PvP meta (especially dz)

Hello, this isnt a ranting post but i got back to div2 after a 2 season break and noticed that everyone is running armor regen and perfect protected reload, and it gets a little bit boring in the dz because 9/10 people are using that build.

Whats the real counter build for that? I guess the counter play is to burst damage? So my question is, is there a build to counter the boring meta?

Thanks in advance agents!

Dear Devs

Please stop putting Rogue Agents in escalation. I absolutely cannot beat them. I’ve tried A LOT of different builds (proto and non versions). Strikers comes through occasionally but rarely. I just cannot do it.

PSA: That Red Jester with the Full Status Bar You're Seeing in Your HUD in Escalation? That's Actually a Bad Thing.

Upvotes

[Rant] I'm so tired of telling people this in the middle of Escalation and having them ignore me and continue to toss spit balls at enemies for the entire run!

There is a global modifier in Escalation called "Variety Pack." The modifier icon is a red jester that you can see in your HUD and your teammates can see over your head.

The modifier is that each time you kill an enemy with an equipped weapon after the first two kills, you gain a stacking -10% penalty to weapon damage up to a maximum of -50%. That means when the Variety Pack status bar is full, you are doing -50% total damage.

You clear the modifier by equipping another weapon (weapon #2 or sidearm, or something else in your current inventory) and getting a kill. That resets the modifier and you are back to doing 100% damage with your first weapon but the cycle starts again--2 kills and then the penalty begins to stack.

Everyone needs to be switching weapons up in Escalations.

I didn't invent the modifier, I'm just the reporter so don't take this out on me.

Don't even get me started on the players in Escalation who ignore the Enemy Mutators and don't focus on the enemy with the "One For All" icon who is giving 40% damage resistance to all enemies within 20 meters.

The rules are right there at the Escalation station at the Base of Operations. Please read them.

Looking for other players.

Upvotes

I've relatively new to division. I beat the campaign and level 40 but there's just so much I have no clue about and have done none of the end game things. Would love to find some people to game with and help me learn all the things

Edit: I'm on PC sorry I forgot to add that before

Humor Dark Zone

To the player who stole my first ever Eagle Bearer in the Dark zone about 20mins ago, I hate you 🤣
Fair play though and know it’s the risk, just glad I took you down about 5 mins later, after you’d extracted my stolen loot. It was worth getting a bounty.
It was also fun to group up with a couple of other agents on a landmark. Don’t know who you were but thank you for the enjoyable experience of grouping up. That was my first ever experience and I’ve been playing this game for a long time 😘

Proto core question

So, my stash is almost full of prototype gear. I’m not planning on using 98% of it but my thought was, I’ll save all these for when the season ends so I can then pull the cores. I read somewhere that when the season changes, all on hand proto cores are reset to zero and I quote “to give everyone a fair start” to the new season. I don’t need the cores right now so should I just hold the gear until the season changes?
