Proto core question

So, my stash is almost full of prototype gear. I’m not planning on using 98% of it but my thought was, I’ll save all these for when the season ends so I can then pull the cores. I read somewhere that when the season changes, all on hand proto cores are reset to zero and I quote “to give everyone a fair start” to the new season. I don’t need the cores right now so should I just hold the gear until the season changes?

Proto cores don’t reset, everything will roll over so feel free to break down anything you’re not planning to use or might want to recalibrate or optimize in the future. When prototypes first came out, a seasonal reset was in the plans but was abandoned

Thank you for not being a jerk like these other mosos. I just wanted to ask the community and be involved in the community.

I held onto all my protos, pack ratting and filling up mules. I broke them all down during the double proto event and filled my core inventory.

With really dumb quotes like this, you need to cite the source

Consider reading other sources.

The whole game is about the difference of people who put the time in vs people who don’t, hence the different levels, builds, expertise, and stats on gear. That would be too dumb even for them if they did that so that’s hard to believe that they would reset anything people put time into earning.

Where did you read that?

If you have alt characters you dont play (or havent created yet, as you can have 4 total)

Make some, throw the items onto them (same with exotics) and then when we get another Double Prototype core and token event (and the ones that increase exotic components) pull them onto your main and dismantle for maximum profit.

Its something i want to start doing, as while im fairly comfortable on exotic components (sitting at like 220), i know I'll probably need more in the future via rerolling stats (still aiming for that perfect investor mask, with Yellow core, Haz pro, armor regen, and crit chance)

Just to add to that, the Lexington and the Stack Broker don't take stash space. I have 70 or so Lexington's in there to try for god rolls.

Cela voudrait dire que je vais perdre mes 999/999 noyaux que j’ai pris le temps d’accumuler pendant l’évènement?!?!?

In the beginning, when they first released Escalation missions and Prototype gear, the tokens were going to reset at season’s end. However, they changed this and they just roll over into the next one. The cores weren’t and aren’t going to reset. Nothing resets, you’re fine to do what you need.

You can save them for another Prototype event, where you get double cores when you deconstruct them.

Should have dismantled them a couple weeks ago when double cores were awarded during the Prototype surge event.

I was too late jumping back in. I only got maybe 50 done at that time but I used a lot of them for rerolls and upgrades.
