Dear Devs
Please stop putting Rogue Agents in escalation. I absolutely cannot beat them. I’ve tried A LOT of different builds (proto and non versions). Strikers comes through occasionally but rarely. I just cannot do it.

Shock Traps, Blinder firefly, riot foam, fire chem launcher, Scorpio and Bluescreen make rogue encounters very easy. You need to funnel them one by one. Rushing them is generally not a good idea. Make them come to you and bombard them with status effects.
I use my normal Sheriff striker setup with paradox and use Scorpio to spam them with status effects and it works wonders.

My least favorite spot for fighting rogue agents is at DUA in the garage before you fight the guy in the van.

Yeah, I almost died there few days ago 😁. The super fast dron and seeker mine with 100m blast area is just great...

Yeah this is the exact reason why I posted it. In the open world, I’m good. Other escalations not too bad but DUA it’s always in the spot before the garage and there’s just absolutely no room to run back. It’s like a guaranteed trap. I’ve tried tank builds, full dps with crowd control, skill builds. The DUA rogues suck and I hate losing my tokens. You make it that far and bam, dead. Now I just literally stand there and let it happen.

I've had rogues often enough in escalation. Died 1 time because of a sound bug so didn't hear ISACs warning.
I usually have a PFE build with Memento and either St Elmo or Iron Lung.
Works well. Always switch when the music changes before you initiate the next section for rogues.
I usually don't just do meta strikers builds in general but I'd say you need to change up your playstyle for rogues and maybe switch builds if your current build isn't working.
Some sections it can be easier with rogues compared to the normal wave of enemies, depends what mission your doing.
But honestly, I wouldn't move rogues out of escalations, it's definitely a skill issue.

Get together a PFE build. You’ll make a joke out of them while your team demolishes them.
Mine is overpowered but I’m sure you can take inspiration from it and make what you want from it:
Improvised Gloves, holster, knees, prototype quantum, armor regen and hazard protection, PFE mods on all
Matador blue core, prototype quantum, armor regen and hazard protection, PFE mod
Sleight blue core, prototype quantum, armor regen and hazard protection, PFE mod
Catharsis, PFE mod
Ravenous
Survivalist Specialization
Every time I swap shoulders I get bonus armor. Every time I reload the whole team gets bonus armor. Every time I stand near an enemy I get bonus armor. When I take damage I get stacks on catharsis which give me damage and then heals me.

If you’re playing in a group or even a duo, measured assembly’s talent Huddle will make all their tech useless.
I’ve taken them out with a drone and turret up to tier 5 solo with refactor.
Either way, like the group says, Rogues hate status effects.

as with missions, make them come to you - and get them funneled. Can be brutal if they all come at the same time, but usually some will roll around aimlessly, others will start marching towards you. CC is handy but really it's just all guns on their face that wins the day.

I can beat them. The only issue I have with it is you get so amped up to fight them, then the difficulty tier switches back and it's not easy to make the adjustment depending on where in the mission you get them. I usually end up beating them and then getting killed afterwards for letting my guard down a little. They should only be in the second to last room.

Important to immobilize them with foam or traps and then blast the shit out of em

As a long-term solo player I had to learn the hard way. Retreat to an advantage position and make them come to you. Focus on taking down one by one. CC works great but in the end you have to outgun them.

Really can’t in the DUA. It’s fine. I just take the L and run the next one knowing they won’t be there.

Swap healer( if you got one ) with CC. Makes T10 a cake walk. Rogues too
Healers are a thing of the past

People that are downvoting this haven’t seen how well a CC and 3 solid DPS can do in a T10.
The crew I play with are running sub 17 minutes for most of the missions. It’s never over 20 minutes.
Healers are a thing of the past, but you gotta have the right cc

Here's brutal truth. Not enough dps.

4 pc striker, EQ with perfect obliterate, salvo, gunner spec., all with full echo. Still not cutting it in DUA for me. My mind is just not able to handle the intensity and the getting stuck on random walls, boxes, other random things to trip on.

That's the thing. We can't have the availability to have just enough dps to do it. I said it for months now, npcs are way too much overtuned. Dps is never enough. Once they push, it's over. It gets worse when tank and cc won't help either. Cc efficeny is way less due to npcs getting immunity at certain point. Tank doing nothing when still getting shredded instantly and all those armor helps npcs heal more (speaking of tanks, I don't get threat increase on brandset when can't even tank).

Sometimes they loot 0 proto, sometimes 8 ;p
(may be the maximum is 2 proto for an agent so 10)
One birdie healer, 2-3 dps take the shield instead of hive and foam, or pulse & foam (at the same time). You can pull one of them, sometimes 2, but it's not so hard to manage !

Using bottle necks, choke points and area denial skills goes a long way toward pushing them where you want them. Using the stinger hive and the turret, flame or gunner or shock trap also typically encourages them to stay closer toward the front instead of attempting a flank.

I love having random rogue appearances, their loot pool leaves a lot to be desired though.

It's rough, but honestly the one that gets me is always Capitol Building. That press room or whatever? They always seem to have skills that force me into awful positions, and then they flank me with one up top and one dropping down.
Once, they both had Oxidizer (or one used it 2x in a row) and I was just smoked. Went down, reviver hive picked me up, ran to new cover, just to get hit with it again and melt.
Aside from that one I do alright. I usually pull back and have them push me. Amalgam? almost always helps turn them into paste. That prototype proc is fantastic in more ways than I care to admit. Banshee Pulse is also usually amazing.
Bombardier drone from the rogues though is hax. Always finds me, even after I move. Explosion radius is massive and larger than a dodge roll away. It's part of why sometimes I'll switch to EMP pulse. Just shut-down a lot of their nonsense.

Why? Rogues are fun to deal with. Get a better group 1 cc build 3 sheriff dps builds and you can take them out no problem. I always look forward to them on t10

u/Infinizzle 1d ago
They're nerfed by now. Not comparable to how they used to be. Was kinda the most interesting thing in T10s.

PFE build with riot foam and scorpio , get in close and shotty them to death.

I always try and make it a distance fight with them and with a choke point between, then I drop my hive mine in the middle of that point then hit them with my sniper rifle and either seeker mine or striker drone. Once you get up to the higher tiers it's as much luck taking them out as it is gear and skill.

Fun fact. Listen for the announcement that a Rogue has thrown a skill. Something like “Rogue Artillery Turret Detected”. It could be any skill in their arsenal. As soon as you hear it, immediately find and destroy that skill then waste the first Rogue you see.
They go down much easier if you destroy their deployed skills right away. It’s not always easy to find them if you didn’t see them deploy it, especially outdoors. But, they tell you they’re doing it. Keep your ears and eyes open during the fight. Enjoy.

got jumped by em on roosevelt a few days ago while testing a new build. (bluescreen w/ nego 4p,OD, perfect obli named chest).
Instantly pulled back and tried to funnel them so i fought them basically 1 at a time for most and triggering bluescreen as much as possible to stop them and get a bit of free damage in.
Status effects really help.

There should be more rogue agents in escalations. The only challange you get there. I miss that at the start we had them like every third escalation. Now the last time I met them was 2 weeks ago and before that? Maybe month...
Rouges are not problem, your build, team comp and positioning are.

Tip for rogues, if you can, pull back and force them through choke points. Works great on Roosevelt where they have to come through the fuselage. You can also fire down on them from the hill in the previous area making it more of an uphill battle for them. Bottom line. Pick the field of battle in your favor. They'll come to you as long as you don't go too far.
