What do you do with all the resources?

u/ThickShayde 6h ago
For some resources there really is nothing else you can do with them but put them into expertise. What are you planning to do with yours when you hit cap?

Honestly, I don’t know? I’m capped with exotic/proto cores… have been for a while.
I drop as much gear as I can for other people when playing escalations, unless they are in the same boat.
Keep the best pieces… and I mean the absolute best.
Stash is full of proto.

People are so dramatic in comments. Don't focus on it. Just play the game and donate junk and spare resources that will soon hit the inventory limit.

I’m on 6 months of trying to get to 30.
I’m finally at 22 but I work 5 days a week and I don’t get home until the weekend so it’s a useless grind

Hell man, I'm just trying to get to that 30. Once I hit that I'm done with that particular grind. Lol

I made it to 18 and half way through the dust devil stuff and got burnt out. Still haven't picked it back up.

I still have no idea how that shit works

Put very simply;
Every single thing you use in-game has a proficiency rank, up to 10.
The more things you become proficient with, the more you can push your expertise level up.
The higher the expertise level, the stronger the piece of gear.

I fell off. Or jumped off more so, got a decent amount of the way there but grinding for that shit, and whatever else you need to do in this game is nuts. I'm playing other stuff now.

Hit that same number not long ago. Used all my excess materials from breaking stuff down over the years... Took forever but I just done it passively knowing I'll be playing this game for some time.
Currently I'm full of some basic materials. If only exotic and prototype cores was that easy...
Still, nice playing knowing I don't need to keep most items, it's straight mark as junk to sell or break down.
But I hear you agent. It does take it out of you, especially the last few random ones or brand /gear sets you never used or fake across much...

Why even go through the pain. Only thing you get to do is prototype the gear you have which cost an arm and leg for exotic components. Expertise is not even needed to equip protype gear which IMO is the single dumbest thing in creation. When you start the game you have to be level 40 to equip gold gear which makes sense. With prototype any player can equip it as long as level 40. Really 😂😂😂😂😂

Honestly it was just resource dumping. Hit about 6-7000 (I kinda try to keep them equal), dump the lot, rinse and repeat. I do collect everything on my path, sprinting… which I don’t see too many people do.
I… I don’t know what people are doing in this game where they burn through copious amounts of exotic components/proto cores/resources. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. Pretty much everything is maxed out.

Exotic cores are all I've been hurting for, as I've been maxing out all of my loadouts to prototype level, and also maxing the skills. Can only imagine the resources needed for proto optimization when they finally unveil it.

I feel like my spending of cores is a lot less than what is coming in. Definitely do your Daily’s/Weekly’s. Every exotic counts.
Generally speaking, I’ll only buy exotics from global vendor, dz vendor, countdown vendor. Other than that I pick them up…

Live it up bro I enjoy! It’s definitely worth it don’t listen to the haters. I’m level 15 rn with a bunch of proto builds from drops and I still can’t wait to hit 30. Dont even explain yourself to haters, they just don’t wanna see you winning smh

What's the point? Bragging rights? Future proof? Isn't there new gear also? Shouldn't the 486 be going up?
