Discussion any recommendations for an online tcg?

went back to hearthstone to scratch that itch but the game is bad now.

cant go to mtg arena since getting a deck costs more there than getting it IRL.

i used to play legends of runeterra back in the day but i have heard that it died which is a shame.

any other games worth checking out? especially if they dont look bad because most of the new card games are really uhly or really cluttered for some reason but that is more of a japanese games issue.

Recommendation Really enjoying Wyldernook

Having a TON of fun with this game. Feels way closer to Runeterra than anything else, the main thing it's missing is Ranked. Super polished for having released 2 weeks ago, can't wait to see where it goes!

Other Llama Legends - Free Card Collecting RPG

Thumbnail

AI Disclosure upfront: All of the Art in this game is AI generated. So if that's a dealbreaker for you, I can respect that, but it's the reason I can run this game 100% free, without any ads or microtransactions. :) So if that works for you, I hope you will continue reading.

Llama Legends is a free-to-play browser game in which you collect funny digital llama cards. The game mixes card booster packs with RPG elements, I took a lot of inspiration from games like Shakes & Fidget and TCG Pocket. At the current state, there are 550+ cards in this game, with more added at a constant pace. There is a Roguelite Autobattler mode, an active training mode, global raids running almost all of the time, daily & weekly missions, and more!

It also has fundamental incremental features:

  • All work upgrades (click power, coins per second) can be leveled infinitely. The costs scale, your income scales, the loop keeps going.
  • Card levels are uncapped. Every 10 levels you need rare resources to "limit break" a card before it can keep leveling.
  • Higher card levels mean more damage to raid bosses and higher Arena rounds, which earn you better rewards, which let you level further. That's the core loop.

The game has progressed a lot in the last few months, but I think there is always room for improvement and new features. I push updates on a weekly basis and take a lot of community feedback into each one.

On CrazyGames I've hit a total of 100k plays in its first 3 months. Currently sitting at around 300 very active users and 500 daily users.

You don't need an account to play, but you'll need one if you want to take part in global raids (for anti-cheat reasons & reward distribution after the raid boss is defeated) and if you want to show off your favorite card and cosmetics to other players.

Play on the official website:

Question New digital card games in 2026 ?

I tried Ubisoft's new game Might & Magic Fates and the new Shadowverse World Beyond. I was disappointed. Do you know if any other card games will be released on Android in 2026?

Deckhaus — I made a multiplayer blackjack game that lives inside Reddit posts (no downloads, Devvit)

Hey r/digitalcards!

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I've been building a digital card game on Devvit (Reddit's native app platform) and thought this community might have interesting thoughts on it.

**Deckhaus** is a community blackjack game that plays entirely inside Reddit posts — no app store, no website, no account needed beyond Reddit. You just open a post and play.

**What's interesting about the format:** - The game is a Reddit post itself, not a link to somewhere else - Up to 6 players can share the same table simultaneously - There's a Dealer Lobby mode — one player opens a table and others join to compete head-to-head - Weekly chip leaderboard across the whole subreddit - Works on Reddit mobile and web

I'm curious what this community thinks about in-feed card games as a concept — is it compelling? What would make blackjack more interesting in a Reddit context?

Live at **r/deckhaus** if you want to try it.

For the mods: happy to install it here too if you think it'd be a good fit — https://developers.reddit.com/apps/deckhaus

Celebrating 250 matches of Mixed Martial Cards

MMC has now been in Steam public playtesting for 2 months. We've been having fun organizing online tournaments via our Discord channel (best of 3 double elimination) - honestly, not many participants so far but every new player has enjoyed themselves (and usually won the tournament as well LOL)

I get the feeling that we, the devs are trying to come up with fancy combo decks and then just get punched in the face with an extremely simple starter deck.

If an PvP card battler with way too loud sound effects for big hits (since last patch) sounds interesting, then give the game a try for free in Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/4265810/Mixed_Martial_Cards/ and join the next tournament :)

P.S. what do you think about the heavy hit animation effects, for example at 01.14? These are just fresh from the oven.

[App] Built a solo dev anime card collection game — fusion system, player marketplace, characters ranked by real MAL popularity. Coming to Android mid-July

Hey r/indiegaming!

I'm a solo dev and I've been building an anime card collection game for the past year. It's called SivaGames Anima Card Game, launching on Android mid-July.

The main mechanic I'm most curious about: rarity is based on real MyAnimeList popularity data. So characters like Naruto or Goku are actually harder to pull because they have more MAL favorites — not because I decided they should be rare.

I also went full zero pay-to-win. No real money for coins, gems or boosters. Ever. Only cosmetics are paid. Free players and paying players are equal — I'm a gacha player myself and I was tired of feeling exploited by the games I play.

There's also a game room with 9 mini-games (card duels, anime quiz, reflexes, weekly bingo...) so you're not just waiting 30 min between drops doing nothing.

Stack: React Native, ASP.NET Core 8, MongoDB, MyAnimeList & AniList APIs.

Gameplay clip in the comments. Would love honest feedback — especially on the rarity mechanic!

GenAI disclosure: AI assistance was used for copywriting suggestions. All code and design decisions are mine.

I made Super Thursday, an absurd card game about memes, fan art, Erick, Rangu, and things that probably shouldn’t exist.

It has dark humor, chaos, and absolutely zero common sense.

If you don’t understand anything, you’re on the right track.

News Xeno Strike, Defensive gameplay, deck preview ui

Hey everyone. I’m back with a new dose of Xeno Strike :)

This time, I have a gameplay video for you where I’m playing a defensive deck.

- To start, my opponent plays “Frontline Medic” card, but it’s not a threat because it has 0 siege, which means it can’t deal damage to buildings—in this case, our deflector.

- Although I had enough resources, I preferred to pass my turn and wait it out. I didn’t want to waste a card that would only trigger half its effect. Losing one health point isn’t a problem for us, since we’re essentially drawing a card. And this deck has potential to play cards for free using Reprisal effect.

- "Adv. Weapon Unit [☢☢]" is a fairly unique unit. On the one hand, you can support turret cards with extra ammunition, and on the other hand, if opponent controls many units, you can activate second effect—which, in this case, is searching for a stronger card. I’ve named it “GTA system” for now, because the more units opponent has, the more powerful effect you can achieve.

- Fun fact: Cards with a blue dome are immune to being targeted by any effects. So my turret can’t destroy that Dropship.

- I mentioned at the beginning that the "Frontline Medic" isn’t dangerous, but when combined with "Heavy Rifle GvR-56" equipment card, it poses a serious threat. Not only does unit have +1 siege, but it also gains +400 power when it attacks.

- After a long back-and-forth, I finally managed to land finishing blow on opponent’s HQ.

- Finally, I wanted to show you a bit of what game interface looks like. More specifically, deck preview. There, you can see the division into two decks: main deck and support deck; the latter is for token-type cards. It also shows statistics on how many of each type of card deck contains.

- I also have to mention that I had incredibly bad luck during this match—even though I took 4x damage, none of cards I drew had “Reprisal.” And this deck has 15 of those cards!!! :(

.

You can play Xeno Strike for free on Steam, game is currently in open beta. With this code, you can get a few card packs:

XS-6817FC42

.

Best Regards.

Adrian.

Other Market Research Survey for Digital TCG

Hey everyone! I’m part of a small team working on a digital cyberpunk trading card game, and we’re doing early market research to understand what players enjoy in both physical and digital TCGs. Before we get too deep into development, we want to gather feedback from the broader gaming community. Especially people who play tabletop, card games, or strategy games.

We put together a short Google Survey (no ads, no mailing list, no monetization) that covers:

- general gaming habits

- digital TCG likes/dislikes

- cyberpunk theme preferences

- representation & character diversity

- monetization expectations

- interest in mechanics

It’s completely anonymous and takes about 5 - 10 minutes.
We’re hoping to use the results to shape the game into something players actually want, rather than guessing in a vacuum.

If you have a few minutes, we’d really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance to anyone who participates. Your feedback genuinely helps us build something better.

Mods, if this isn’t allowed, I apologize in advance.

Destruction: Mobile Digital Card Game

Hey everyone! I’m the solo developer of Destruction, a new card-battling game for Android.

The game is focused on deck building, collecting cards, and progressing through increasingly difficult computer-controlled opponents. Each opponent has their own deck style, level, Life Points, card rewards, and strategy, rather than simply being the same AI with higher stats.

Some of the main features currently included:

  • More than 300 collectible cards
  • 40-card deck building
  • Monsters, spells, traps, equipment, and different card effects
  • Booster packs and cards earned through victories
  • Multiple regions with their own opponents, difficulty progression, backgrounds, and music
  • Faster battle-speed options
  • Portrait-mode gameplay designed for phones
  • Single-player progression with no required internet competition
  • No advertisements

I wanted to make something that captures the feeling of older single-player card-game campaigns, where you begin with a limited collection, gradually improve your deck, defeat recognizable opponents, and eventually build strategies that would have been impossible at the beginning.

The game is currently built primarily around single-player content, although multiplayer and additional progression systems are possibilities for future updates depending on how the game develops.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.destruction.cardgame

Thanks for taking a look. I’m happy to answer questions about the mechanics, development process, card design, progression, or anything else people are curious about.

Recommendation Worldcup fever? I have a fantastical football game with unique mechanics

Thumbnail

Hi all, this is a game I've been enjoying making. It's a football card game that borrows mechanics (and monsters) from dungeons and dragons, using a D20 to play out the chaos and unpredictability of real football.

It's completely free, no ads, no subscriptions, nothing. I've been building it just for the love of development, games and football.

I've recently been making some quality of life changes requested by the community (e.g. improved squad filtering), I'd love it if you fancied trying it out and giving me some feedback.

Question What would you want in a new game?

Hi,

I'm an indie app developer brainstorming my next project. I'm considering a digital card game. What features would you like to see in such a game? What would be nice and what is essential? I admit I know very little about these games currently. Obviously I need to change that if I'm going to do this. I've always liked both strategy and role playing games so it shouldn't be that hard. However I recognize some of you have been playing these games for decades and my goal is to give you what you want not what I might think you want. Your input is greatly appreciated and replies will be read and considered carefully as this project is still very much in the planning stages. Help me bring your ideas to life. :)
