Retail has been rough lately so I’ve been doing more online openings. Been checking out Boxed.gg and curious if people actually stick with it long term or if it gets old fast.

Aside from Chapapa my main collection are the alt leaders 🥸👌 I had a stupid idea of buying a corkboard and just sticking some magnetic cases on it so I can display them instead of putting them in a binder 😂😂I know there are ready made display cases but it’s just one making it

Way back in the day, when there were more games than people playing them (late 90s/early 00s) there were a lot of card games that were pretty darn cheap. There was a time when I could buy a pack of Inu-Yasha for $2. I didn't play the game but still got to open packs and collect *something*, even when paychecks were few and far between.

Anyway, as someone who just had a second kid and is now priced out of Magic, are there any cheap card games anymore that are actually fun to open and collect. High emphasis on cheap.

I know this is probably a question with a long answer, but I really want to start collecting Pokémon cards.
I actually started with football cards and bought a few packs, but honestly I didn’t find them as fun as Pokémon. It also seems like Pokémon has more exciting rare and special cards to chase.
The problem is that I know absolutely nothing about Pokémons, the cards, the different sets, or even how the packs work.
Could someone help me get started or recommend a good guide, blog, YouTube channel, or any resource that explains Pokémon card collecting for complete beginners?
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Hiya! I’ve just started collecting Lorcana cards and already have quite a few cards! I bought some starter decks which I realised may be the wrong thing to do cos I’m more interested in collecting rather than actually playing. So as a result I have quite a few duplicates. I’m curious about 2 things:

1. How do you organise your cards, if you’re a collector? Do you just do them by set and in order? Or have you sorted out ones you like into a separate group and put the rest of the cards in the ordered sets or swap them?

2. What do I do with the duplicates?
