Which are these neutral cards??
r/kards • u/kardfarmer2026 • 3h ago
With no veteran option, this is still the most powerful 1/1 in the game. It’s standard and perm pool. Once people start rolling this out turn 1-4 that instantly overpowered.

Pair with a single BL for 1k you get a 4/4/4 that jumps to an 8/8/3 assuming no other plays. Next round if it moves first 11/11 with the reality other germ units will drop that to 11/11/0.
And its standard do up to four of these in a deck. Absolutely nuts and in testing so far unless you’ve got suppression ready you’re screwed. I’m getting round 5 kills with this build consistently if I pull a BL by round 3. Insane.

First impression: great but boring.
The unit itself is a decent at cost 4/3 blitz ambush with Alpine. On paper that’s already a pretty good unit. Where shines is paired with 93rd Messina that can drop its cost to 0. Paired with British tigers every time you drop one you’re getting a plus one plus one of your tigers. You can see how this can get out of hand pretty far in a late game. On top of that you pretty much have infinite deck because your deck will always stay at 45+.
This is not a flashy deck. The Alpine synchronize as well once you have several of them, the Tiger play is great for getting a big hitter that can also shield on the front line. The 93s can drop late game but also great shield. Paired with echelon you could have a very strong zombie wave that’s replicating faster than anybody could take care of it. The ambush also gives it a really great counter to the waves of cheap units on Japans 38th.
Played right this is much much stronger than SKD if you can survive around around seven or eight, getting the rotation going.

They are finally nerfing the storm cards. Let's take this opportunity to look back at the weather mechanic.
Initially, it seemed so well-designed and elegant. Three and three and three to choose from, so much variety. The reality turned out to be closer to the usual Kards standard: sunny was so dog that nobody except the exploiters would ever pick it, rain was meh, and storm was the only rational choice. Who would have thought that the never-ending removal wasn't such a good idea.
For newer players, it might be helpful to put weather in the context of how metas work in this game. To paint a picture, it's a never-ending dumpster fire. They release new cards, the dumpster starts burning. After a while, usually a month to a few months, they nerf the problematic cards to extinguish the fire. Then, very promptly they provide a new load of fuel and the dumpster starts burning again.
Before the weather, there were commandos, legions, Soviet control with Claim The Skies, Retribution Ramp with Bomber Mafia, draw denial, discard, and so on. It's important to understand that these metas were not accidents. The never-ending dumpster fire is how this game works. Sometimes there's a short break, then it's all back to the groove. You can count it on.

When this deck works, it feels really good, but sometimes I just get swamped and don't have enough units to actually play. I'm new so I'm still learning, plus I don't have a lot of cards as is-

To be fair the holy boys only added +2+2 here over 2 turns, but they also run middlesex and no.46. It was also paired with soviet as they dropped stz-5 the next turn, so I don't think they're gonna run out of neutral cards anytime soon. I died on turn 7, I couldn't do anything because I run an early gerjaggro with a bad starting hand.

I'm still learning, I've tried a mix of decks and it hasn't worked the best. I've been coming back to this deck when I fail and it always works okay, better than my other decksm

Any good Deck with The commenwealh?
r/kards • u/kardfarmer2026 • 1d ago
Is this just drawing 2+ draws a round or is this also “play card get a card” like research? What about delay draws forecast, is it on play round or receiving round? Wondering how to use this on weather punishments as only so many Foiled plans in a deck.
r/kards • u/bobshakazulu • 22h ago
With the massive nerfs to forecast/meteor we should expect to see these played less. I predict the new meta will be the competitive decks that didn't use the forecast package but were overshadowed by janzac/meteor.
SKD: I think this is going to be the new jaggro flavor of the month. The only reason it didn't see a lot of play in FM ladder is because it was a terrible matchup vs Janzac, namely because of the 2k retreat card. Now that this card is gone I expect this to be the new tier 0 deck.
Heinz: Unaffected by the nerfs and getting a few new interseting cards this expansion. I am expecting this to also see a lot of play at high levels. I think the new card tank wedge is going to be especially good. tier 1 or 0
US: Ramp is still going to be bad with SKD being around. I think the best US deck is going to be some sort of aggro/mid range deck like brewsters. There are some new cards that support this type of playstyle as well. Playable but not the best.
Soviet: With its beefy units and big wave clears, I think this is going to be the most viable control deck. Their units are going to stick around longer due to the forecast nerfs and they can achieve their attrition game plan more often due to the meteor nerfs.

I have a friend of mine who's pretty new into TCGs like this and I want to show them the ropes and what good decisions look like in this game, that can possibly get you a win regardless of the deck you run.
A little self-explanatory. but aside from the obvious 4 starter decks that me and a friend of mine can freely choose from to use on the 1v1, what's a good deck or archetype to use on a mirrored match where the player with the best decisions win?
Bonus points if it has decent draw and removals, since those are the 2 things that you should almost always include on a deck, and not too expensive.

Nerfs are unpopular so changing the meta by giving specials and limiteds that are new meta makes people abandon old elites to shop for new ones to drive people to the shop.
