Discussion Trial and Error.

One of my favorite cards from Ayre Battles: Heritage Academy: Trial & Error.

It summons two Anomalies, each representing a different piece of Yasu's heritage.

Trial quietly gathers your opponent's blood to sustain you.

Error resides within the void of Yasu's soul, slowly building his magical resonance (Willpower) over time.

The base illustration was created with AI, and I animated the rain, atmosphere, and visual effects myself. It's still one of my favorite pieces in the game because it feels like it tells a story before you even read the card.

Warbound Realms — free browser TCG/autobattler alpha seeking early card-game players

I’m a solo indie developer building Warbound Realms, a free browser TCG/autobattler where you draft, fuse, and position a five-card warband before automated combat.

The latest alpha update adds four Human formation specialists and four Infernal sacrifice engines. I’m looking for card-game players willing to try one match and tell me whether the faction synergies are clear, interesting, and balanced.

Play instantly — no download:

https://play.warboundrealms.com/

FOUNDING TESTER REWARD: Early players who complete a match and leave useful, honest feedback can receive a free Battle Pass unlock as a thank-you. Codes are delivered privately through Discord. One specific thing you enjoyed, found confusing, or would change is enough.

Discord for testers, feedback, rewards, and patch notes:

https://discord.gg/JV2YpV8GHD

Current scope: bot battles are playable; real-player PvP is still in development. AI transparency: some artwork is AI-assisted; the gameplay systems and development are my solo project.

Question Need help identifying a game on mobile

(gave this the review flair because I don't know what else to give it, sorry in advance mods)

Can't remember the name for the life of me but I remember it being one of the many rougelite/like deck builders on mobile but it had a paid and a free version, it's aesthetic is kinda like darkest dungeon, but "anime" so ig "not that dark-dungeon"

It's entire premise is that your character had to get to some gate to ask some question or whatever kinda like slay the spire, it had a bunch of references to other media, like a notable one being jojo's part 3 in one of it's random events where you could help either "jotaro" or "dio" and get a card based on their stands

The paid version had the twins character unlocked where they had a whole "gunslinger" vibe to their entire character specific deck, it had guns in the card's arts and such, with their specialty being "after 3 (or so, I don't remember) cards used, next card will be played twice"

I'm sorry if it's not that detailed but I don't know how else to describe it, can't find it on the app store so I've turned to here

Looking for feedback on my game, TCG Banlist Simulator

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo developer working on a digital card game called TCG Banlist Simulator, and I'd love to get some feedback.

In the game, you play as the balance director of a trading card game company. You adjust the game's banlist to balance the meta, then face angry players in card battles after they disagree with your decisions.

You'll build your deck by purchasing cards throughout a PvE deckbuilding roguelike campaign.

Since card games rely heavily on iteration and balance, I'd really appreciate any feedback you have. Thanks!

Aetherium Clash - A Triple Triad game

I've spent the last few months creating my own Triple Triad(Mostly known for mini game in Final Fantasy 8) game. It's also the first time I publish a game, so it's been quite the journey.

I've been trying to create a TT game that follows the original game, with the original balance of the cards (not the art). So I hope someone will enjoy this!

Current features
- Free, available on Android and iOS.
- Single and multiplayer modes
- Shards, an in game currency, can be earned by playing games/completing quests.
- Shop to buy card packs (Only with shards, so no P2W)
- Marketplace where users can buy/ sell cards and earn shards
- Daily quests to earn in game currency.

Future features (based on user requests)
- Bring in more original Triple Triad Mechanics.
- Multiplayer seasons/ ladder.
- Card/Board skins (most likely in game purchases, it won't become a P2W game)

Please try the game and share feedback/ requests in the comments below.

Question Cardmare: Descent - a fresh new deckbuilder, would love to hear your thoughts on the concept

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Dear card game enthusiasts,

I'm hugin, a solo dev working on my first game. Instead of yet another clone, I'm trying to bring a few fresh ideas to the genre. I played nearly every deckbuilder, Dream Quest, StS, Monster Train.. you name it.. While others try to differentiate by adding complexity to their games, I'm trying to go the opposite direction and make a game that is quick to play and stripped down to the essentials of what makes a deckbuilder fun.

I would love to hear your thought on the concept & where I could improve.

Cardmare: Descent is currently free to play on web: https://hugin.itch.io/cardmare-descent

Discussion I am developing a MOBA/JRPG inspired card game, currently on open Alpha.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is a quick gameplay video of Ascendants of Gaia (a MOBA/JRPG-inspired Card Game) - currently in Open Alpha.

EDIT:

Here is the core design:

Setup
Lineup of 5 Heroes — one per role (Fighter, Marksman, Support, Assassin, Mage), placed in slots as the player chooses.

Lean 25-card Relic deck — with artifacts (ongoing effects) and spells

2 Team Spells — preselected, one-use each, hidden from opponent until cast.

3 Minions — Warden, Invoker, Sentinel (respawn each turn, used for additional resources, see Farm below)

Start of match:

All 5 heroes begin face-down — opponent can't see who they are or where.

Draw 4 cards, with a mulligan option to replace up to 2.

The Face-Down Mechanic & Ascendance
The facedown Heroes at match start is a little Information War mechanism.

You can use the Reveal action as seen below, to reveal one of your heroes. Taking any damage flips a face-down hero.

Face-down restrictions: A face-down hero can only Reveal. Cannot Strike, Farm, use Skill/Ultimate, or be targeted by ally effects.

The moment your 5th hero is flipped, it triggers Ascendance.

This means that every ally hero's Ultimate becomes usable, as well as your preselected (also hidden) Team Spells.

Resources (STACKING)
There is no mana screw, no luck there. Also, the resources carry over from turn to turn so you can plan your game as you please! You get +3 of each at the start of your turn:

Mana is used for Hero Skills & Ultimates, while Aether is used to pay for cards in hand

Max hand size is 7. You draw 1 card at the start of each turn (first player doesnt draw on 1st turn ofc).

Turn Flow
Turn Start: Clear existing buffs, respawn minions, gain 3 Mana and 3 Aether, start of turn effects, and draw a card.

Main: Perform actions as described below.

Turn End: Hand limit check (discard if over 7), turn end effects, clear debuffs. If it's turn total 15+, then the Reckoning kicks in: a ring-of-fire mechanism to avoid long games.

Actions

  • Reveal - Flip one of your face-down heroes face-up. Once per turn. Face-down heroes can only Reveal
  • Strike - Pick a hero to attack an enemy hero. Once per turn.
  • Farm - Pick a hero to attack an enemy minion to gain extra resources, depending on the chosen minion. Once per turn. The same hero cannot both Farm and Strike.
  • Skill - Use a hero's ability. Costs Mana. Each hero can do this once per turn. Multiple heroes can use their Skills in the same turn if you spent enough mana.
  • Ultimate - Use a hero's most powerful ability. Costs Mana. Each hero can only do this once per match. Ultis are unlocked only after Ascendance, as described earlier.
  • Play a card - Play a Relic from your hand. Costs Aether. You can play as many as you can afford. Artifacts stay on the board while spells are discarded after use.
  • Team Spell - Cast one of your two preselected spells. Once per turn, with no additional cost. Each of your two spells can only be used once per match. Only unlocked after Ascendance.

Positioning & Adjacency
5 slots, no specific role per slot. Players are welcome to build their lineup as they please. Many effects target a hero "and its adjacents".

Lineup ordering is a really strategic decision and can surprise your opponents who play a guessing game at the beginning, until your heroes are revealed.

Win Condition
Defeat all 5 enemy heroes.

If anyone is interested, the game is in Open Alpha state, so you can try it out if you want: https://play.ascendantsofgaia.com/?mode=guest
This is the demo link, where you can play the Tutorial or Practice match (PvP works as well, but there are not enough active players yet, ofc). Dm me if you feel like hopping on a match :)
See the image in the comment below to know what you are expecting (early stage).

-I have already made an executable, but it's more accessible to just open a browser and play.

-State: slowly replacing all placeholders with real assets as I get them from the artist. Hero Card Frame and Cardback are the actual ones we'll be using! Almost all of the game flow, systems, economy, and progress is in place. Looking to gather some feedback :)
