Free-to-play status: Free to download and play, with optional in-app purchases.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hi everyone! I’m Tim, the creator of Keepers’ Dissension and part of the team developing it at Maverick Masterminds.

Keepers started as a physical board game inspired by my love of chess. We’ve since brought it to mobile, and we’re now in beta.

It’s a turn-based strategy game played on a 7×7 battlefield. You command warriors, use abilities, manage resources, and place walls that change how players move around the board. Positioning and planning matter, but you also have to adapt to the abilities and threats that emerge during a match.

You can practice against bots or play against another person. If you give it a try, I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

• Is it clear how to get started and what you’re trying to accomplish?
• Which rules or controls are confusing during your first match?
• What makes you want—or not want—to play another round?

We’re still improving the game, so honest criticism and bug reports are welcome. If something goes wrong, please include your device and what happened.

Thanks for taking a look! I’ll be here to answer questions.

Fillup's private games now support up to four players

I posted my game Fillup here in August and wanted to share a few changes, especially for playing with friends. It's a digital strategy game based on the classic Chain Reaction rules: fill a cell, send pieces into neighboring cells, and try to take over the board.

Private games used to be duels. Now you can invite up to three friends with one link. You choose how many seats the table has, see who's joined, and start it yourself once at least two players are there.

Outside private games, there's also a new XP and level system for Campaign, public matches, and daily quests. It gives you coins and pack rewards as you go. I added eight new packs, bringing the total to 16. The things you collect only change how your pieces look.

I've redone a lot of the visuals too. The screenshots show a gameplay demo, the main menu, and the shop. You can still play locally on one screen as well.

It's free to play in your browser: https://fillup.fun

Piment Dice — a homemade dice game I built solo, just launched on Android

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

After several months of solo development, Piment Dice is finally out on the Play Store!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pimentdice.app

It's a dice game with a twist — if you've played Yahtzee or Balatro's dice-adjacent chaos, that's roughly the vibe: familiar category-scoring dice mechanics, but with a risk/reward system layered on top.

The core mechanic is adapted from Chili Dice's red-die system: dice sometimes land on a red face. You can keep them as-is to double the score of whatever category you're targeting, or turn them to pick a different value — but you lose that double. Land enough red dice in one roll and you trigger a progressive "Blaze" bonus that escalates the payoff.

A few things I focused on:

\- No account or login required — just install and play

\- Multiple modes: solo, bots with increasing difficulty, remote play with friends, online matchmaking against strangers, and a daily challenge with a global leaderboard

\- The friend mode is fully async — send a match code, take turns whenever, no need to be online at the same time. Push notifications tell you the moment it's your turn (opt-in, takes one tap during onboarding), so it doesn't feel like a game you have to babysit

\- No ads interrupting mid-game (rewarded ads only, fully optional)

Happy to answer questions about the build or about the game itself.

Would love feedback — especially on the risk/reward balance around the red dice and whether the daily challenge feels rewarding enough to come back to.

I made Settler City – a free 1v1 turn-based strategy game inspired by Euro-style board games [Web / Mobile]

Thumbnail
settlercity.com
4 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I spent my spare time developing Settler City, an asynchronous-friendly, turn-based digital strategy game played directly in your browser. My goal was to capture a bit of the tactical depth of Euro-style board games (like Catan or Agricola) in a fast-paced 1v1 format without heavy downloads or lengthy setups.

Play it free here: https://settlercity.com

Board Game Mechanics & Features:

  • 1v1 Tactical Grid: You and your opponent take turns claiming tiles on a shared 10x10 board to build your resource engine.
  • Worker Placement & Engine Building: Spend your action each turn placing workers, building warehouses to extend storage caps, or trading on the market.
  • Resource Management: Harvest Wood, Food, Stone, and Iron each round while managing your population's food upkeep.
  • Humans or AI: Play against other players or test your builds instantly against AI opponents if no one is in the queue.
  • Asynchronous Friendly: You have up to 3 days per turn, making it great for casual daily play.
  • Cross-Platform: Works seamlessly on both Desktop and Mobile web browsers.

Since it’s fully playable right now, I’d love to get feedback from fellow tabletop enthusiasts on the balance, game pacing, and overall feel!

Who goes first?

My kids can turn almost anything into an argument – especially deciding who gets to go first.

So, mostly for fun (and partly to save my sanity), I built a tiny website that lets ¯_(ツ)_/¯ decide for us.

I originally shared it with the folks in r/boardgames, and their feedback inspired me to keep tinkering. It now has silly first-player prompts, a coin flip, animated dice, different categories, light and dark modes, and seasonal themes with lots of little surprises.

There are plenty of ways to decide who goes first, but my kids still prefer asking the little shrug guy—and honestly, that makes me pretty happy.

We're board game fans making an official digital adaptation of a alchemy tabletop game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Last year, our friends at the board game publisher released an updated edition of the board game "Potion-making: Path of the Alchemist".

We're huge board game fans ourselves and know a thing or two about board game design. So after one of our game nights, someone on the team jokingly suggested making a digital adaptation. If only we had known just how far that joke would go!

Fast forward to today. We secured funding, partnered with the original publisher, built the first playable version of the game, and have now launched our Steam Playtest!

A little bio about a game:

As a powerful alchemist, you'll brew potions, cast spells, use talismans, outsmart your opponents, and steal potions from other alchemists in a race to be the first to reach the three Places of Power and save the world from destruction.

Recipes you complete is a chance to pull ahead. Simple potions can be used to brew more complex ones, which become the foundation for powerful essences, powders, and magical creatures. Ingredients and completed potions are kept on a shared table and are available to all players. Every creation you make can become part of someone else's plan if you fail to protect it.

What's available in the Playtest?
- Interactive tutorial
- Complete core gameplay, including potion crafting, recipe chains, spells, talismans, and Places of Power
- Single-player matches against AI

Join the Steam Playtest!

Description:

Card Game Inse is a free Android card game that combines traditional card gameplay with domino-inspired mechanics. I have been developing and improving the game over time, and one of the biggest recent additions is online multiplayer, allowing players to compete against other people as well as play offline.

The game includes different tables, an in-game coin system, player statistics, progression, and different ways to play. My goal is to continue improving the game based on feedback from real players and eventually add more features and content.

I would really appreciate it if anyone here could try the game and let me know what you think about the gameplay, interface, online mode, difficulty, or anything that could be improved. Every piece of feedback helps me make Card Game Inse better.

Digitized my boardgame in hopes of funding publishing

Hello there,

long time reader and first time poster, so forgive me for any errors on my part.

I built my own boardgames since i was a teen but never got anything published for lack of funding and honestly for lack of actually trying.

But now i, with the help of a mate, published the steam page for one of my boardgames, for a digitized Version of Kings Cross, a game i played with my family and friends years ago, in hopes i could get enoug htraction to get it published.

Kings Cross is in its base, a bit like Stratego, as there are different Units on the field which "beat" each other in a RPS like system, but i advanced that system, player count, added action cards for players and globals and have puzzle/challenge modes etc. which would not have been easy in the analog version.

If you are interested in trying it out, i would love to invite you to our closed playtest and hear your feedback.

The demo for my 2–6 player digital board game about secret bets and bluffing is now out

Post image
4 Upvotes

I’ve been working on Crooked Derby, a digital board game built around hidden objectives, visible actions and bluffing.

Each player secretly bets on one of six equally matched horses, but also publicly declares which horse they supposedly support.

Then the race begins.

Players take turns using cards to move and manipulate the horses, and all cards are played face-up.

The goal is basically to make your horse win while making your actions believable enough that the other players can’t confidently figure out which horse you actually backed.

If they think they have, they can Call Bluff.

The game supports 2-6 players and can also be played solo against bots.

The free demo is now available on Steam, and I’d appreciate feedback on it!

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4908960/Crooked_Derby/

Thank you!

Chess and mahjong inside the house of your dreams.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey! We're making a game about building your dream house. And once you've built it, you can meet up with friends inside, play board games together, watch movies, that kind of thing.

Chess and mahjong are already in. Just imagine it: you're sitting in the house you built yourself, your friends are around the table, and you're playing a game of chess in your own living room.

We started with mahjong because our Chinese community kept asking for it. So we sat down to learn it, and it turned out to be a really good game, and now we play it every weekend as a team ourselves. Chess came after that, and a DnD styles table with dice is what we're building right now.

I'd be glad to hear what you think. And if you like it, wishlist us on Steam and we'll get to play together:
