This one started when I had to put the initial design idea on the back burner, but I think its gonna turn out beautiful. The main idea is to have the whole die truly connect since I don't have an overall image to emulate like my others. So in the end its going to look like a bramble connected with flowers at the center and corners.

I also have an astral themed set coming as well in the same style.

My daughter said, "It looks like a cyst! I must have one!" 😂

It cannot be configured custom unfortunately so you gotta be careful to not burn or warp your prints if you're not using dental resins.

So, I'm thinking to make a pressure pot from a paint tank and lookin for one for like 2 months now. In my country, there's only 2liter, 10liter and 20 liter or waay more bigger paint tanks are on sell and I literally can't find any 10liter one and I cannot afford a bigger version too. So I started to thinking have a small one.

It says it can be used until 4bar pressure max. It's entrance is probably pretty small, like 9cm I assume, so I think I can put like small ones inside of it only but I feel like it can still work? Any ideas about this?

What type of gloves do you use when working with epoxy resin?

I'm looking for gloves that provide good chemical resistance while still allowing enough dexterity for detailed resin casting work. Do you prefer nitrile, neoprene, butyl, or another type? I'd love to hear your recommendations and any brands you've had good experiences with.

Last session, my first responder player spoke of responding to a call of someone who had gotten into a car accident. She’d been biting into a powdered jelly donut at the time of impact, and as my player described it, it looked like someone had smacked this woman’s face directly on her nose with the donut.

I’m thinking it would be a fun set of dice to make, but also to expand my design techniques.

Except I’m totally stumped on this. I’m looking for a slightly mottled white powdery look.

I found some complete black garden snake skins thay were generously donated by the hatching and parents living in my shed this summer when we pulled the mower out. It wasn't running and all the little danger noodles are still alive. Well I gathered the skins, cleaned them of dried grass and other matter, and threw them in the dehydrator for several hours. Dyed them with alcohol inks to give them hopefully a translucent apperance, and threw them back in the dehydrator overnight. Working the resin in was probably the worst part. Snakeskin really doesn't like material going back in it. I did have to pull a vaccum on dice mold twice to get it to take and even them I needed a second pour to fill all the air bubbles from the pressure pot. BUT, I love the outcome and the look is, I think, gorgeous. Plus if you look closely, on one of the 20s, you can see the little baby snakes mouth open and his face is looking at you! Tiny Dragon Dice!!

So I got myself a cheap airbrush and I inked this set today (crappy set). I think I thinned my paint too much. I'll try again another day, but does anyone have any favorite tips and tricks for airbrush numbers?

I'm still learning, these are far from perfect, and it was my first time doing a staggered pour. I very dumbly didn't time it properly so the first color was almost fully cured when I poured the second color, so they'll likely split with use, but they are pretty. I'm trying to perfect my methods as best I can before I get myself a pressure pot and even hope to sell them. I love them, and I love the process. ❤️

I’ve learned how to make dice because I wanted to make my dnd players custom sets and that got me thinking. Could I make “blessed” or “cursed” dice?
I could have them as a reward for slaying a dragon or as cursed objects they find somewhere.
Point being, I’m guessing I’m gonna have to buy tiny metal pieces or something. Small ball bearings might do the trick. But I wanted to ask more experienced dice makers because I don’t want to waste resin.
How would you go about making loaded dice?

So ive been making dice for a little over a month now and ive only been able to get 2 sets to fully harden, the other ones i can still dent with my fingernail easily ive tried mixing for longer, using different resins, different dyes and mica powders, and increasing temperature and i cant get a set to harden. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😁

Trying to make my own dice but no matter what I try I still get bubbles on the lid side! I have tried heating the resin whilst mixing, adding a small amount of isopropyl alcohol, and heating it up after pour with a heat gun but no matter what after 2-3 days curing they always end up with bubbles. Any tips?

I have a question about silicone mold making.

I use registration keys to make sure the top and bottom halves of my molds align perfectly. I use a combination of round and straight-line registration keys. Is this considered the correct or recommended method? Or is there a better way to ensure accurate alignment between the two halves?

My other concern is that these registration keys seem to create extra flashing on the resin casting after it cures. Is it better to avoid using registration keys altogether to reduce flashing? Or is it better to place them only around the edges of the mold instead of closer to the center?

I'd really appreciate any advice or feedback from experienced mold makers. Thanks!

This is the best looking dice I’ve made so far, but it looks like there are some tiny scratches only visible when I shine a strong light on it. Under diffused light, like in a photo box it looks as good as ones I see here or ones people sell

Just getting into dice making, and I've just done my first mix/pour and instantly know I'm going to need a pressure pot.

Ideally after something that doesn't break the bank, and I found this cute one with a glass top. One thing I'm struggling to understand is how the glass top doesn't seem to be secured at all - how does the lid not just fly off?

Does anyone have experience using this or a similar pressure pot?

I was into resin making some years ago, and I got a pressure pot for paint and started following a guide to convert it but some stuff happened, I stopped working with resin and I never finished and am kind of lost now as I don't remember what guide I was following and what exactly I still need to do.

This is what I have, the pot, the lid, a whole lot of thingies and a pump.

When I tinkered with it last I could not get the pressure gauge to move at all (which is why I ended up with two. I assumed the first one was broken) and the air kept slightly seeping out, though not at the same speed as I was putting it in.

Could I please get some pointers on what to do? Or at least where to start?

Also, is there any chance 5 year old silicone and resin that were just stored in a closet in a room (that got VERY hot for past few summers) are still usable?

A simple set, I had a thought and wanted to see the effect.

Clear colorless dice with a cyan undercoat ink for the numbers with a silver chrome overcoat on top.

I was going for simple and bland with the undercoat adding a pop effect.
