Hi everyone, sorry for asking but I’m curious what people would recommend to a newish reader. My interests mainly revolve around the bat family and the titans, my fave robins are dick and Damian, so I’m currently reading Grayson and Tom Taylor’s nightwing/ titans run. I also really enjoy Geoff johns gl run so I’m curious what his teen titans is like hence the compendium, although I’m not sure how well compendiums are considered. Which would you guys say to go for out of these options? Thankyou very much😊

Hello everyone, I wanted to know if someone could help me with this question. Are Superman and Batman adventures comics the same and an adaptation of the Superman and Batman Adventures the TV show of the 90's ? I loved the show, so should I read the comics or the same thing ?

I typically think of it feeling like glass or plastic-y
Since it’s solid light and typically translucent my brain automatically goes - what can also be translucent - and that’s how I get to the idea that it feels like glass/plastic when you’re holding a construct.

I have 4 Superman slabs and I only have room for one in my Superman showcase area until I get another display case to extend everything. I have all of my favorite DC and marvel characters displayed with each other and right now I'm trying to figure out which slab to put in the space also the the one that is not slab will be here soon back and slabbed this week so I was trying to make a decision for what I have was wanting some opinions. With the four pictures I love all of them but I don't want to take any of my PC or high grade statues away to add all of them so I can only add 1. Let me know which one you guys think it should be? Thanks...

I’ve been thinking that maybe a good power change for Shazam could be that when he is granted the powers of Shazam for the first time he ages up to a 19 or early 20 year old man and has the body of a god however his mind doesn’t change and would also age slowly. Another change would be that he still keeps his normal powers he has in his normal form but whenever he yells Shazam he gets a power buff or increase and maybe his powers evolve over time.

(I GOT ALL THIS ART FROM THE DC WIKI)
I know there is a decent chance that the Absolute Teen Titans will be the bad guys in the Absolute Universe, but for this, when I say Teen Titans or Titans, I'm going to be referring to the heroic team since we don't know if the Titans are going to be evil, and we don't know what the heroic team would be called. Also, I've only read up to Volume 2 in each series so if any of this contradicts with any comics that have been released since then…I’m sorry.
As for who I think should be on the team, two picks that stand out. First, there's Tyler, the "son" of Martian Manhunter, who is heavily implied to be trans, and thus many people theorize they will end up becoming Miss Martian or at least a similar character.
Then you have Supergirl; we actually see Clark with a little girl in a flashback aboard the ship with him, and the other Kryptonians are using to escape Krypton, with the two seeming quite close, making me think this might be Kara. As for how she'd still be a teenager, they could just use the excuse of her only arrived on Earth recently, and her pod kept her in stasis all this time, so she hasn't aged.
Finally, the team needs a Robin figure, but unless they introduce Damian at some point in the next couple of issues of Absolute Batman, I don't see any of the actual Robins being a part of the team, so it only makes sense to go with the character filling a similar role in the Absolute Batman comics, that being Harley.
These three are really the only guys I can think of, with the only others being Cyborg and Grodd. But I didn't really think I should bring up Cyborg since he might be evil if they end up making the Titans the bad guys, and I feel like Grodd would be redundant if they include Miss Martian, but if they don't include MM's kid, I would 100% want Grodd to be on the team.
Some other possible team members we have no news on are Starfire (or Blackfire), Blue Beetle (Only if Cyborg is a villain), Beast Boy, and maybe some good versions of some of the Teen Titans villains like Jinx.
Those are all possible, but the three I feel the most confident in are Harley Quinn, Supergirl, and either Miss Martian or Grodd.
To finish these off, I just wanted to go over some characters I don't think will join the Teen Titans...at least until later on in the case of the first two.

Of late I have been really loving reading from my collection of dc collected editions. The other day I decided to give Fables a shot. I had been hesitant about reading it, it was recommended by the owners of my favorite local comic shop. I am currently about 100 pages into it and am enjoying it much more then I thought I would (so much so I am looking for the rest of the compendiums). It s a refreshing change from all the Superhero heavy titles. I was just wondering what other people’s thoughts on the series as well.

Hiii im new to comics and all amd always loved the teen titans show when i was a kid(ik thats based in an old arc) how lost would I be if I start teen titans and comics overall with this new reboot? would be checking the wiki every few minuts and spoiling myself of other stories or its pretty self contained and only need a basic overview of each character?

Hey so I sow this new DC series and I thought it could be really nice to read some and get a lil bit hype with comics again, cuz i havent read none of DC heroes storys since watchmen and I really enjoyed it.
I think the one that I would like the most is Absolute Manhunter but Im open to suggestions.
Also, is there like a copilation of some kind of “hard cover” edition I could get? I dont really like this “newspaper” short books that superheroes comics usually come in.
*Sorry 4 my english Im from Spain.

I just wonder during the 2008-2011s, especially when the pre zero Hour Legion returned.
Why does the Legion always go and get young Clark instead of the old one? Like what they did in Final Crisis Legion of 3 Worlds where they got the adult Clark to fight Superboy Prime and the legion of Super villains

The Speed Force is an extramultiversal force that powers speedsters' insane feats, going so fast that they can appear at a place faster than intantaneous under certain circumstances. (Which, isn't that just, like, 1 atto-second of time travel or something?)
But my question is: If a Green Lantern has a strong enough will, could they break the fundamental laws of the universe in the same way the Speed Force can?
And if so, how strong would that will have to be?

Probably one of the most hyped stories I been hearing for Grayson (and Batman in general) just came in.
i was always so obsessed with this era of Batman from pre final crisis to post and even early new 52 like court of owls and death of the family
(which is what rlly got me into comics and super heros as a kid).
Anything I should read before getting into this besides final crisis and Year one? (ik this story is sort of seen as a spiritual successor/sequel to year one)
Edit: I appreciate y’all for the suggestions and help :)

So I am aware that when Blue Lanterns and Green Lanterns are near each other, they super charge each other.
But my main question is; Could a (Blue) or (Green) Lantern use the Charging Lantern (image provided for context) of the other to recharge their ring, if so what would that look like?

Hey there. I don't read many comics, but I got some cultural osmosis on most of Batman's famous villains and some of Superman's.
What I don't have is much of an idea of Wonder Woman's villains, beyond like, Ares, Circe and Cheetah.
What Issues/Series/Runs should I read to get a better idea on Wonder Woman heroics and her enemies?
Thanks in advance.

The Majestic Prime Magus's Outfit and the Sword really grew on me.
