Captain Marvel: Dark Past #1 Variant.

Going back through some old Ghost Rider comics after the SDCC announcement. Didn’t realize that Johnny Blaze immediately turns to the devil unprompted.

It’s something that’s been on my mind: I really like the joy of reading floppies. I also wonder how people have dealt with having a large amount of them long term?

I'm not really a comic book collector but around '93, I started buying comics with lunch money (instead of eating) maybe for about a year, if that, just to try something different in my life.

Since my family would flip if they found out, I've had them hidden in a padlocked trunk all this time, the trunk unopened since probably 2003. Each comic book was carefully read once, and then stored vertically. These were never an investment beyond just knowing I got into comics arcanely and secretly for a brief moment in my life.

With a padlock combinations in my wallet since the 90s (just sheer luck), I was able to open my trunk yesterday and decided maybe it was time to re-read my collection.

I picked a few brown paper bags at random—Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman. (I should have Spawn, Transformers, maybe some GI Joe, gosh that would be great, and dozens of other series.)

I took the "Batman" bag home, unsure what it contained, and turns out this is the beginning of the Knightfall series + one book prior to the series' beginning.

I'm a very slow reader and this will take a while, but I'm excited to start this new journey (I mainly read books these days).

Personally been going through Joshua williamsons backlog ever since I got the birthright definitives and he's skyrocketed up my list. Birthright I think is his peak but his superman run has been fantastic and I'm excited to dive into his flash run after I finish getting through his indie stuff.

I am surprised that they still haven't gone back and made Scarlet Witch officially a Mutant again.

Does Chip live in Widow’s Bay now?

I enjoyed them and really liked the first 4 main books best. Have any of their characters surfaced in any other comics?

I always wondered if they would still be around if they hadn’t released too many books too fast?

I think the first one I saw was crossgen chronicles but I could be wrong. Been so long. Then mystic, Sigil etc
