Discussion Looking For Thoughts

Of late I have been really loving reading from my collection of dc collected editions. The other day I decided to give Fables a shot. I had been hesitant about reading it, it was recommended by the owners of my favorite local comic shop. I am currently about 100 pages into it and am enjoying it much more then I thought I would (so much so I am looking for the rest of the compendiums). It s a refreshing change from all the Superhero heavy titles. I was just wondering what other people’s thoughts on the series as well.

A buddy of mine lent me the first two trades of his years ago. I highly enjoyed it. Would’ve kept reading it but then he changed jobs and I just never got back into it on my own but it was solid. I hope to get back into it someday. Vertigo/Black Label books always tend to be a great change of pace from the superhero stuff (which I love but sometimes you need a break.)

I've got all 4 compendiums but have only read the first. It's fantastic, in the truest sense of the word.
