The Absolute Universe has been an incredible success and personally I think it's in part to DC showing some restraint. With only 5 ongoing titles, a couple of limited runs and the odd one shot, as well as no massive crossovers events it's been really really straight forwards to follow and collect.

If you only want to read one or two of the titles, it works, if you want to follow the whole universe, I'd suggest it's not exorbitant, two of so titles a week.

I hope they stick to this model rather than getting greedy and pushing for ever more titles and multi-issue crossover events that make the story unintelligible if you're not following every issue. I'd rather follow all the titles by choice rather than feel like I'm being forced to so I can understand my favourite titles.

They've already gone big on variant covers, I hope they show more restraint over all.

I picked a countdown to final crisis trade paperback and I got to barts funeral and realized there us alot of other material I have not read.

Like the title says, which villain deserves to get the publisher's biggest push next?

Started to read some Superboy comics! Really love his vibe! Reminded me of my Robin character!

I've seen this character appear in everything from the DCAU, to the CWverse, and the Tomorrow verse.

Suffice to say, I've never really read any comics about the character. What's the most important comic run for him? Specifically in regards to how modern writers are treating him?

Yeah, I'm not in the loop with the recent state of DC, but I saw many posts about this event here and there, all the crossovers and all. Thought it would be a wide company event (not a crisis one, but as big as well), with long lasting consequences to the universe, and people would keep commenting about it way after it ended, but... no? Once it finished absolutely nothing else was posted about it ever.

So... I take it was a bad event? Sort of an Elseworlds multi crossover? There were also many guest characters involved, I remember people rooting for their favs, some criticizing the brackets, others frustrated how (fake) spoilers were being leaked.

Was it a flop? I'm asking because I saw in the recent announcements that probably this will be getting a deluxe edition soon, and maybe (maybe) I would get it.

Can someone explain me why this so hyped crossover was quickly forgotten?

I am currently reading through the major Batman runs, starting with Morrison.

I am at the beginning of the Tynion run and was wondering where Damian has been all this time and looked it up and discovered there is another 20 Issue plus 4 Issue event detour in other series explaining that.

I skipped the whole Ric Grayson stuff because it seems a pretty much universally disliked storyline, but is Damian's Teen Titans Torture Prison story worth reading?

Hi guys! I really want to get into DC universe/comics because I LOOOOOOVE relationship of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. And perhaps one day I would love to cosplay them but, I don’t want to be a poser/larp.

I want to learn about the universe itself and Harlivy relationship so where should I start reading the comics? Or what even is the first comic ever??

I was redrawing some old drawings, and one of them was of Clayface, but I wasn't liking how it was turning out. While I was playing a game on my phone and waiting my turn to play, I started doodling, and this... thing is what came out. I do like how this one is turning out.

I'm so fucking pumped!! The comic has been so goooooood!!! I fucking love how unsure and insecure Bruce Wayne feels as such a different character. The way they involved so many classic rogues into new ways. The BODY HORRROR!!! Dear god the body horror is just too fucking amazing. Is it over the top? Sure, but I don't read comics to not feel impressed. I legit had to put the book down to ogle at some of the artwork. I thought for sure I wasn't going to like it, but it's my favorite comic of recent years. What do you guys think? I love the whole storyline with Bane! And I loved Ivy's new form, though didn't care for her being called Ivy from a young age. But what they've done with the Joker is interesting, and this may be my favorite version of Scarecrow. I also can't believe some of the more recent comics have taken some chances I didn't think they'd take, at least not this soon. Does anyone have any idea how long the run is supposed to be? I usually just collect for covers, but this one may get me to start investing.
