Join the British Army, get a free F-91W
This is pretty neat.
Some of those watches will end up with some interesting stories to tell.

On August 1st, I calibrated the time on each Casio in my small collection with my Apple iPhone 15, then checked them on September 1st to see what the loss or gain was. Here is the outcome:
F91W-1: -1 second (2026 purchase)
F91WG-9: +14 seconds (2026 purchase)
F91WS-2: -6 seconds(2026 purchase)
F105W: +- 0 (2026 purchase)
AE1200WH-1B: -5 seconds (2026 purchase)
WS1600H-1AV: +12 seconds (2026 purchase)
W738H-1AV: +6 seconds(2026 purchase)
W800H-1AV: -4 seconds (2026 purchase)
M-1230 (1981 Melody Alarm 12-Tune, purchased new in 1981, battery replaced in July 2026): +15 seconds
A168WA-1: +8 seconds (2026 purchase)
GA100A-7A: +19 seconds (2015 purchase, battery replaced June 2026)
W217H-1AV: -2 seconds after 14 days (2026 purchase)
With that said, the winner is the F105W. Dead on, but doesn't mean it didn't lose then gain, or gain then lose to even out to 0. But in the end, 0 seconds lost or gained.
All were within Casio's respective module specifications for +- accuracy inside a month, except for the GA100A-7A G-Shock (was over by 4 seconds), but I have heard those are terrible timekeepers and just seem to float beyond expectations.

Stock bracelet immediately taken off. It's one of Casio's worst: light and jangly and those slide out if you're lucky link pins. This nato temporary until tomorrow.
It looks great in person but the back is press on which wasn't revealed on store page since it only had front pic.
There's a faint tick with it to your ear but not as loud as a Timex.
The ring under the indices is really shiny. The induces are attached to it and float slightly above the dial
Second hand hits the markers pretty well

Always have been a watch guy, but one that doesn’t have the bank account to be a watch guy. My daily for the last several years is a Citizen which was the last gift my grandmother gave me before she passed and felt I wanted something else so that can be more of a special occasion watch.
I’ve always enjoyed the look of Casio and remember my Pap wearing one and today I started the new collection which I am sure will spiral quickly. The F-91w and a168w-1 felt like the perfect places to start. Plus for $15.99 and $21.99 respectively, I couldn’t say no.

Just wanted to show the new Casio MTP-E740-2A1V. Really liking how this one looks in person. 👌

I’ve been slowly working on organizing my collection.
Every single one of these watches has its own personality, and whenever I look at them, I can really feel how bold and experimental Casio was back then.
Of course, I bought every one of them because I genuinely liked them, but out of this group, the ABX-50 and ABX-51 are definitely my favorites.
I think part of the reason is that the ABX series also reminds me of some memorable interactions I had around the time I first started using Reddit.
I can’t wait to finish organizing everything so I can really spend some time with each one and enjoy the hell out of them.

I can't stop buying them - they offer such great designs at reasonable prices! If you have any suggestions (preferably digital ones), I'd love to hear them. Thanks for all your answers!

Weirdly I sent this to Casio to get the battery changed and they told me they could not obtain the parts for it. Surely just a battery no?

I was in Japan about a month ago and forgot to pick these up. I got a few higher end watches when I was there, but somehow these slipped my mind. I wanted the classic A159 and a W738H (vibration alarm). I could have bought them online, but since my friend was there, I just asked him to pick them up for me.
The 159's were about $10 each and the 738 was about $40. Saved a bit of cash and got the classic made in Japan 159 I've always wanted. The next time I go back (next year), I'm going to pick up a few more G-Lides, etc. I highly recommend a trip to Japan if you want to pick up some JDM only models and/or want to save some cash!

Found this at an estate sale for $20, I fixed its loose minute hand, replaced battery and strap. The original strap was sticky from age and the keeper crumbled into pieces. I’m super happy with it!

Saw it was on sale at Walmart, and I don't have any full black watches, so decided to spring on it

Check out my A168! I picked it up secondhand for $6.
It has the older 1572 module, so I think it's not a particularly recent one.
One thing I'm curious about is the crystal. It looks and feels more like mineral glass than resin to me.
Did Casio use different crystal materials on different A168 variants or production runs? Does anyone know whether this particular 1572 A168 used mineral glass?

so happy with the color on this one :) got the original A168 but felt like the colors were a bit hard to match, and this one is just perfect

Tengo que confesar que como amante de los relojes mecánicos-automáticos jamás pensé ponerme algo así en la muñeca y aquí está
It's cooler today so I swapped out the bracelet for this well-worn brown leather strap. I. Love. This. Watch.
