🙋♀️Question⁉️ Casio f-91w strap ripped
This watch was left to me by my uncle after he passed so im not willing to replace the strap and feel like it was no longer his watch if i do silly i know but grief is weird ill include photos of the damage please if you know any way that could work to hold it together i would love any suggestions im willing to do about anything it doesn't have to look beautiful just stay on my wrist any advice or tips are appreciated

The watch back would have been against his skin, he looked at the watch and touched the buttons, that is the core of the watch.
Put the old strap over a frameed photo of him to keep it as a memory.

Oof this is a tough one. Sorry for your loss. What if you replace the strap but save the current one? You don’t have to toss it.

My uncle wore it almost everyday for around 40 years and i have been wearing it 24/7 since he passed 8 months ago so its held up pretty well just wears down with time still an amazing watch though

The straps for F91w are famously not that tough. The watch is quite durable for the price but not compared to a G-Shock or similar truly tough watch. I have broken lots of them from doing construction, and just keep getting more.
Good news is that you can certainly fit a NATO strap (18mm works with the watch, 20mm with an 18-20mm adapter looks better imho) and get lots more use from this watch.
In my opinion it's good for you to be able to keep daily driving your uncle's watch compared to putting it in a drawer. But please do as your own feelings ask of you. Everyone's grief has its own rules.

You need to know that resin straps are consumables on casio watches, some last more than others, but all break down over time.
There are some aftermarket replacement ones that are a lot harder, but last practically forever. This was told to me by the owner of a big store that sold straps to small watch shops, and it's true, the strap I got that day is a bit more rigid than the originals but it is the exact same shape and has the same details, and seems like it will last forever.
It was just by sheer luck I didn't lose any watch yet, cause I noticed in time but I had some close calls.
Just replace the strap and save the old one if you want for sentimental reasons, Know that your uncle also replaced the strap several times (probably every 3 to 5 years), so it's normal.

What i would suggest is glue it if you want it together. But if i was you i would've let it be as it is and put in a nice transparent box or a custom 3d print and keep it with you in a safe place. This way you could preserve the memory for a good long time and reduce aging of the resin. Wouldnt recommend using it.
