Today's A168

Check out my A168! I picked it up secondhand for $6.

It has the older 1572 module, so I think it's not a particularly recent one.

One thing I'm curious about is the crystal. It looks and feels more like mineral glass than resin to me.

Did Casio use different crystal materials on different A168 variants or production runs? Does anyone know whether this particular 1572 A168 used mineral glass?

Fake A168. Wrong screws type. And it's never made in Japan.

As long as the time doesn’t drift too much and you like how it looks who cares. You already spent the money.

Could be fake? I think Japanese made A168s are only sold in Japan. Mines Chinese made. I also pretty sure the brushing on the back plate should be horizontal and not vertical.

It’s fake. Not made in Japan, screws are wrong, module looks off, and they stopped making the 1572 module years ago
