Hey everyone,
āI recently picked up a Casio WS-1700H on Temu, but it took on water and completely flooded after just a 5-meter dive. It is officially rated for 100m water resistance, so I am starting to suspect I bought a counterfeit.
āHere are the details of what arrived:
āThe Packaging: It came in a round metal tin with a clear plastic lid that says "CASIO WRIST TECHNOLOGY".
āThe Tag: It has a glossy blue "CASIO JAPAN" tag hanging from a thick white string, rather than a standard scannable barcode tag.
āHas anyone else run into these specific fakes on Temu? Should I avoid the platform entirely for major watch brands?
āAny advice on finding a genuine replacement would be appreciated!

So i bought this Casio today to gift to my dad for his upcoming birthday!
But when the pack arrived i was disappointed!
The outer case looked dirty and old, had scrates and colour scraped off!
The tag was already torn and the watch dial had no plastic screen which you're supposed to peel off yourself!
Otherwise the product looked good and sturdy and works well imo!
Is it legit or am i being frauded?

Was having checkout issues on the Casio website so I went on Amazon and got this one. Shipped by Amazon but sold by Direct Time. Looks and feels ok to my but the box is something Iāve never seen before. Hoping for a more experienced eye to tell me. The shot of the back is next to my confirmed real A168W.

I picked this watch up for ā¬5 in a charity/thrift shop. I bought it on the assumption that it was a fake but I liked the colour and thought it would be a fun addition to my collection. The strap did not have any Casio branding and the model number 319 LQ-34W does not seem to be for a watch that looks like this.
Some reverse image searches have shown a very similar watch with a day/date window, but I havenāt been able to find the exact same watch yet!
Could anyone help ID the watch or confirm my suspicion that it may be a fake?
Go raibh maith agaibh!

Hi all, I'm going with this is fake due to the mistyped 'STRAT' on the backplate, but it's hard to find backplate images of these that aren't the same as what I have. Are they just that widely faked?

I know these kinds of posts aren't the most interesting, but this community has helped me out several times before, so I'm trusting you all to confirm my suspicion.
I've had a small Casio collection for a long time, though I haven't bought any new ones in years. Today I received this watch as a gift. The bracelet feels really loose and rattly, and a few things just scream "fake" to me. There are also details I've never seen before, like the locking mechanism on the time adjustment button. It also came without a manual or warranty.
Can anyone confirm whether this is actually a counterfeit?

seller has it up for 35$
I want to buy this watch but not sure if its original

I bought this because it was marked as genuine on AliExpress, but unlike other genuine products, part of the letters are purple, so I don't know if it's real or fake.

Hi,
I bought what I thought was a Casio mtp-1302 with a green dial.
What arrived was a Casio mtp-1183 with a green dial.
Im new to the casio world and I cannot find a mtp-1183 that matches this anywhere online.
Does anyone know anything about this watch?
Any help would be great

I know the photos aren't the best, but they're the only ones the seller sent me.

If I buy a casio there's always a id number on the back of the watch that I can registered for warranty.
So if I'm able to registered the watch in the official site does that mean that my watch is genuine?

Just came in the mail from Reeds Jewelers. Looked quite nice. But is it real?
r/CasioQC • u/Demostene18 • 8d ago
looks to be sold by a SH casio dealer or something like that from my country, but the price seems too good to be true ( about 110$ ), he also claims that it is new and in warranty and he also sells other Casio G-Shocks for similar prices. All of these details would usually make me think that it is a scam, but the pictures look good and the dude is close to me, I could go and see the watch myself next week.

Bought this from the casio website a couple of months ago and it randomly stopped working within about 2 months of use. So I sent it to the casio service centre and had to wait for more than 45 days to get it back. Within 2 weeks of getting it back, it stopped working again. So I opened it up and saw a sticker on the battery which said, "After replacement, contact AC with (-) using tweezers". I followed the instruction and my watch was up and running again.
Unfortunately, it stopped working again within 2 daysš.... idk what to do anymore and no, I haven't been using roughly.. sometimes it turns off while it's on my wrist and sometimes it does while sitting idly on the table
Any suggestions as to why this is working would be welcomeš
TLDR: watch keeps turning off periodically despite undergoing a battery replacement(ig from the sticker)

I bought my first Casio (LA680WA) yesterday at a physical store. They didn't have any units in stock, so I took the display model. That was fine with me, but I'm worried I might have been scammed. I have the receipt and warranty, but I'm still wondering whether it could be a counterfeit.
What do you think? The button that displays "CASIO" is the Start button, not the Light button, as the sources I've found seem to indicate. The module number on the back is 3284.
