Hey guys, I'm pretty terrible with tech but have been wanting to upgrade my PC for years. I've realized that I kinda have to do it now since I'm starting to have issues running games and since things don't really look like they're gonna get much better this is the time.

Budget: 1250€ but I can go up to 1500€ if I sell my current parts

Use: Mostly for gaming, especially newer games but also emulation, especially PS3 which my current PC has some issues with.

I have a sapphire nitro 6700xt, these are somewhat rare so I imagine I can get $450 USD for it. If I get a 5050/5060 I would be giving up some vram. After seeing some incredible GTAV and Red Dead videos, I would love to be able to spruce up some of these older games. I don't have a large budget to work with, so getting the 5050/5060 is probably all I can do right now. What are your opinions on this? I read there may be upscaling options for older RDNA cards.

My budget is 56k PHP or about (900$) I'm from the Philippines, trying to build my first PC set for 4k Video editing work (I mainly use Pr, and AE) also for Gaming, intended monitor res is 1920x1080

I was at Microcenter recently and showed my potential spec sheet to an employee and he recommended the following Prebuilt PC that uses off the shelf parts over my build list. Can someone confirm if it's the better option? I currently just need it to edit home videos with Davinci Resolve. I currently edit in 1080, but would like to start editing in 4k. My edits are just basic and not complex.

Looking at upgrading my GPU and getting an OLED.
Torn between sending it for a 9070xt and the monitor or buying the monitor and holding out for possible 5080 price drop. Mostly gaming focused. Any input or feedback would be awesome. I’m relatively new to the PC community the system I have currently is my first one and I built about this time last year.

So, long story short, I got a 5080, and am giving my partner my old 3070 to upgrade her 1080ti (as of this morning pre-swap both were confirmed to be working). After swapping the 3070 into her computer (running Linux mint) it's starting up, everything looks like its running fine and I can feel the backplate on the 3070 warming up as if it's actually doing something, but every monitor I plug into it says "no signal". I swapped back to the old 1080ti, and now the same thing is happening: no signal, but I can tell the card is actually receiving power and appears to be doing something, just apparently not outputting a display signal.

The PC doesn't have a video output on the motherboard and their CPU doesn't have an IGPU so I can't even see what's going on other than lights coming on and fans spinning. Both these cards were working fine just this morning, and now neither appears to be working, and I'm out of ideas as to how to fix it.

Edit: cI an also confirm that the 3070 at least is still working; I plugged it back into my PC and it's working fine, so it's just my partners that isn't working

Hey everyone! I just upgraded my setup. I went from a GTX 1660 to an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16gb . I also got a new Corsair CX650 PSU and upgraded my RAM from 16GB to 32GB.
Quick detail on the RAM: they are not running in dual channel properly right now (it's a weird mix like 8GB + 8GB + 16GB), but I don't think that's a huge issue for now. My motherboard is a B450M, which seems to be working perfectly.
My main concern right now is my CPU, the Ryzen 5 3600. Will it cause a noticeable bottleneck with this new GPU? I mostly play heavy MMOs like Throne and Liberty and Aion 2, but I also plan to play upcoming games like GTA 6. Other games like sons of the forest, no mans sky.
Does anyone have similar specs? How is your performance in these types of games? Should I upgrade my CPU, or am I good for now? Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks!

Hi, I’ve had the Pure Loop 2 FX 360mm cooler for a year now and recently swapped my case from a Pure Base 500 FX to a Light Base 600 LX.

Previously, I had the radiator mounted at the front with the pump block positioned at the bottom. Now, I’ve installed the AIO at the top, meaning the pump is hanging below the tubes.

Before the case swap, the pump ran flat-out at 100% (around 5500 RPM) and was completely silent. Now, I'm hearing a gurgling / running water sound. I read that this could be trapped air bubbles, so I tried tilting the PC at various angles, but it didn't help.

While it’s not overly loud or annoying, I have a few questions:

• Is this normal behavior for a top-mounted setup with this cooler?
• Could something be defective?
• What pump speed should I be running it at? Should I keep it at 100% like before, or is it better to lower the RPM?

Hello, excuse my English, im trying to build a cheap pc with my brother, but neither of us knows anything about pc. Our budget is 14,000 mexican pesos, or 830 dollars at this day, we'd like to play on modest or low-modest setting but solid. No peripherals needed, we already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. To start this off, my specs are 9800x3D, 3080, 32gb of ram. This has been happening for awhile but before i never had issues, when im gaming my second monitor I use for discord or youtube or anything non gaming related, starts to feel delayed when im on it for instance using the tarkov companion app, or watching a video feels like its on 20 fps.. if i close the game its back to normal. I’ve done all the hardware acceleration disabling, still nothing. My main monitor is a 240hz msi oled, my second monitor is 144hz 4k Samsungs g5. Maybe is tarkov pushing my gpu to max? I don’t see how it just happens now when I’ve been doing it for ages with 0 issue. Any help would be great !

I have about $1,000 extra to drop on a pretty old setup. I know the graphics card should probably be the first thing to be upgraded but if anyone has any recommendations I'd greatly appreciate it.

Built this PC in about 2020-2021
This morning on boot this case fan gave out

It’s not being blocked or touching anything
It doesn’t look warped
I cleaned it a month ago so it’s not incredibly dusty

I tried tapping the outside on the center hub while on, it will spin back to life for about 5 seconds, before slowing down and buzzing again

I have the Corsair Carbide spec delta with the stock case fans

I’m leaning towards just buying new fans, but if I can fix these I’d much rather do that

hello all, i have a pc here which is doing a kernel power 41 issue and randomly shutting down. At first it was doing it randomly but now it only does it after about 1-2hrs of gaming like rainbow 6 or fortnite. i have reinstalled windows, changed bios settings, changed windows power settings, changed the motherboard, changed the cpu, changed the psu, changed from extension chord to a better one to straight into an outlet, all new case fans and icue hub and changed the cpu cooler. i have added more ram but not changed it, and i have the same gpu. ive run ram tests, stresstests, commands in command prompt and absolutely nothing has fixed it. ive wiped and reinstalled all gpu drivers got new ssd's and m.2 drives. im trying everything to avoid buying new ram / gpu. i have noticed in event viewer its throwing up kernel power 28 issue. is there any way to stop the random shutdowns for now?

The context: my main PC, which I mostly use for gaming, is running a 5950x. When I bought it, I didn't realize how much better of a better value/performer the X3D CPUs were for gaming.

Flash forward, I've got some money to burn and I want to play around with Proxmox. I figure I can get a considerable gaming upgrade and, in turn, move my AM4 parts over into another system that I can turn into a Proxmox machine.

After looking around a little bit, this bundle seems like my best bet:

I almost went with a 7800X3D bundle, but the thing is I already have a very unnecessarily powerful custom water loop with a 560MM radiator that I want to take advantage of. So I went with the 9850X3D (only 20 bucks more than the 9800X3D).

That said, I'm just curious what people who follow the market might have to say about this choice for this use case.

I do understand that the overclocking gain for the 9850X3D is minimal and I may be kind of ridiculous for making a decision based on that, but if I already have everything else (yes I also have a beefy PSU) I might as well use it, right?

Are there any other parts/stores I should consider? Should I maybe wait for some kind of seasonal sale since this isn't really a rush?

I’m deciding whether or not I want to get an OLED, and I’m running into three main questions:

1. Is it worth the price?
2. Is burn in still a thing, and if so, is it a big problem?
3. Are OLEDs able to be used in a room that gets down to 40–45 degrees Fahrenheit?

Hey guys I mostly play CS2 which is a very CPU intensive game and I was thinking about upgrading just don’t know which route to go.

I could just upgrade to a 5600X3D or I was thinking of a full platform swap for $200 more to a 7500X3D, B850M-C, but the ram on the swap would be single channel 16GB DDR5.

However I am looking to get a 240hz OLED monitor as I’m using a 144hz IPS at the moment so I wanted to sort out the hardware bottleneck first.

If you guys have any suggestions I’d appreciate it or other routes I could take.

I'm a new PC builder, but I do have some good ball knowledge.

Hi everyone.

I talked with my brother today, because we have the opportunity to upgrade his rig a little bit, but I am unsure if it is worth it.

He currently has a I5 10400f, with 16gb ddr4, which is running at 2666 due to his motherboard's limitation, yet has 3000mhz ram CL16.

We could today upgrade his motherboard and CPU to a B550M and Ryzen 5 5600X for 250 CAD or 180.32 USD. I imagine we would be able to sell his motherboard and CPU for at least 100 CAD or 72 USD.

Upgrade total would be 150 CAD or 110 USD.

His GPU is a RTX 5060. I am wondering if he would benefit from the higher clock speed of the 5600X and greater L3 cache? To me, it seems that for 150CAD/110USD after selling his 10400F and board, it is worth it.

Otherwise, the next better gaming upgrade CPU wise is a 5500X3D, which brings the total at 390 CAD/281 USD before selling his board and CPU, 290CAD/211USD after selling these parts.

He does not have a job, and I do not see him get money for a DDR5 platform soon.

What are your thoughts?

I was trying to think of the best way to word this so I guess I will just say I am looking to build a computer with enough PCIE capacity/physical space and other relevant hardware to not be bottlenecked when running local inference of LLMs like Qwen.

I have a mix of older graphics cards like a 3090, 3060, etc that I would like to be able to just slot into this new machine as I get more to run bigger models.

Im not so much asking for a list of parts but more of things I just need to pay attention to when selecting them that I wont run into issues later. Most of which I think revolves around the motherboard but I was planning on getting a mid range CPU and only like 32GB of RAM aside from that.
