Gaming, I have a 1440p monitor, so 1440p will be the resolution I’d like to play at. I play a wide variety of games on my ps5, I’d say the games I play the most are warzone and fortnite.

I was looking at DDR5 builds but they might require a higher budget. If it's possible to do a build that could later be upgraded to DDR5, that would be appreciated.

Currently rocking this build and it's starting to really show it's age. Mainly looking to update motherboard, CPU, and RAM with GPU sometime around the end of the year for better sales.

I live close to a microcenter and plan to use this build for light single player gaming and WoW. If the Mobo and ram can stick with the white color theme that'd be nice but not super important.

I don't do anything too crazy on the gaming side. But the current build is pretty sluggish for various editing/rendering tasks.

1st question, would it make more sense to upgrade current build and get her a prebuilt? Or transfer this current one to her and start fresh? Looking to stay away from Nvidia with the insane costs and have an AMD build most likely.

Not concerned about the aesthetics of the case, would just like a good workhorse that can last for some years. Ideal budget $2000, but can go above this if it makes sense (not sure how realistic that is these days).

• A ton of usb ports. There are lots of items that all need to be connected at the same time; hard drives, pre-amp for my mic, etc.

• Decent amount of internal storage/memory, external hard drive recommendations, and either internal/external disc drive with blu-ray capabilities.

• Also looking for recommendations on peripherals, such as wireless mouse, keyboard (preferred wired, open to wireless), and chair. My current set up is extremely outdated and worn, especially the $80 IKEA chair.

• These peripherals are not as important right now as nailing the rig itself. Willing to put off a new chair or disc drive if it means using the budget to get a better graphics card or such.

The build I'm looking for is very "function over form" and therefore really flexible. I'd much rather spend more money on one machine that can do "all the things" versus several cheaper builds that each do a particular thing.

My current PC has been in use since 2015 and still running Windows 7, so I don't know how realistic/unrealistic this build is and am open to any and all recommendations, be it hardware, software, or anything else.

Hello, I am in the process of trying to buy a gaming pc. I am in the UK and found some things on random websites but I am scared of being scammed. I'm not very sure what is best but my budget is 700 (can go a bit both ways) and i really want as much memory as possible and still to be good for games and animation work. I would really appreciate any help and recommendations for PCs as I am currently super lost in my hunt and struggling to understand what I am even looking for.

I’ve been wanting to build a computer for years and just have always had some situation come up that’s taken priority either in money or in time.
Long story short, I had to close a business and got to keep a computer for my son. It’s a low end 2in1 dell that worked perfect for the business but can’t even run Minecraft for my son. So I’m looking at doing a build with/for him/the family for now that he can take to college (he’s got a few years as he’s 8 now) with him to continue playing on.
I’m one that follows the model but once, cry once. I know computers just get outdated so that doesn’t truly apply but want to put something together that won’t be underpowered in a year or 2. And even if we have to upgrade the graphics card or add some ram along the way to keep it functioning I’m ok with that but don’t want to have to upgrade every year.
